During the holidays, I watch so many films and run out so quickly, you can even catch me tivoing sappy films on the Lifetime channel!  Yes i admit it.

Here's my top ten.  What's yours?

1. Home Alone - Macaulay Culkin vs. the bad guys and the old neighbor who always freaks him out... Love it!

2. The House Without A Christmas Tree - If you haven't seen it, it's a classic the whole family can enjoy.  A little girl wins a Christmas tree at school & her father doesn't want to put it up because it reminds him of her mother who passed away... get out the kleenex.

3. A Christmas Story - I'll even watch the day when it's looped non-stop because there are so many funny random moments.

4. Christmas Vacation - Chevy Chase, the squirrel in the tree, the Christmas light wars... need I say more?

5. Elf - Yeah, make fun of me all you like.  Will Farrell is hilarious!

6. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer - The claymation version with Jack Frost and the Abominable Snow-Monster.  A campy classic.

7. A Charlie Brown Christmas - The music alone is a winner

8.  It’s a Wonderful Life - I always wished Jimmy Stewart was my uncle after watching this.

9. Bad Santa - Not for the kiddies, but so funny

10. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas - I prefer the cartoon version!

Suzanne, I am soooooooo glad you made this blog. There is nothing more I like to do during the festive holiday season, than snuggle up in front of the T.V. and watch some glorious feel good Christmas movies! Ahhhh can't you just smell the chestnuts roasting by the fire????

okay 1st a quick comment about your favorites... I rank my movies by snuggle worthiness... on a scale of one to four snuggles... four snuggles being best!

A Christmas Story - 4 snugs
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer - 3 and half snugs
Charlie Brown - 3 snugs
It's a Wonderful Life - 4 snugs
Home Alone - 4 snugs

okay here's some of my favorites not on your list...

Miracle on 34th Street (1947): Kris Kringle has never been better! - 4 big snugs!

Mickey's Christmas Carol - Come on Suzanne, Mickey, Disney, Christmas??? can anything top that??? A True Christmas Classic!!! - 4 big snugs!!

and finally, one of my all time favorites is also one of the most recent, not so much a movie by a feast for the eyes and heart... drum roll please... Nick and Jessica's Christmas Special... man I wish they were still together, their chemistry was explosive!!!!

how would a person fix the muffin look? if they buy a bigger pair of pants they sag or fall off and if they wear what they are wearing currently, then they give that appearance. tough one figure out. what do you think is in with men style? what do you like men to wear?
one more thing, check out my new blog about the colour. they are my favorite band. if you like what you hear, i'll hook you up.

My sweet Suzanne, you deserve a great film. If you want to watch something for the holidays and quite rare, even the kids will love it, and I must say this film will leave you feeling great at the end as do most Christmas films. You should see Hans Brinker, just about as good as the fall/holiday films get.

Alright, alright... let's stick to the holidays folks.
I love A Nightmare Before Christmas. I watched it several times around Halloween!
Edward Scissorhands - a classic & it features the fabulous Johnny Depp
The Silver Skates sounds great... that's now on my checklist.

hey, gremlins was happening during the holiday season, so it totally valid for a chrismas movie. lol. as for devi's rejects, nothing says BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP like getting splatted by a semi. yeah.

Yes it is a rare movie because it takes place in Holland in the late 1800's, and there are not a lot of films that show that life. In addition one of its stars in a supporting role was Richard Basehart, who gained fame in Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, but a very fine performer who also performed in many other films. The wintry setting also keeps with the times and the sets are as close as you will ever get. It is also a musical of sorts too...enjoy.
