I had the most fun I've ever had at a game... ever!

I've been covering the Angels in Anaheim since Friday night, when the Mariners won.  Again on Saturday, when we don't need to mention again who won... so I was more worried about who was going to win Sunday's game than what would happen afterward.

Now, I've watched the celebrations on TV & naively thought that the reporters might get hit by a bit of a spray as the players doused each other.... but I didn't expect to get soaked!

I thought when a reporter is interviewing a player... it's kind of a sacred thing.. like let us get a great soundbite!  But little did I know it just made us one big target.

While I'm interviewing Howie Kendrick, I'm thinking... Poor Howie is getting soaked during this interview... but he's giving great soundbite!

That was until I was sprayed with what felt like a garden hose that had been left out in the winter.

Howie's a star.. because he sounded so eloquent while getting doused.  When I tried to talk... first, I couldn't open my eyes because they were stinging so much... then, I couldn't catch my breath because it was so cold.

But you know what?  That was absolutely the most exhilirating time I've had since who knows when.  There's nothing like being in the locker room with a winning team!

When was the last time you felt this way?

Suzanne...a great question. When I was hired at KTTV to be an integral part of the website here, I was greeted by champagne being squirted at me, and with expensive beer being dumped on my head. It was quite the party. I think you were out in the field that day, otherwise you probably would have been a part of it. You missed out, but apparently made up for it yesterday.

Here's hoping you got the crunchiness out of your hair.

He he.
You really got the royal treatment - yesterday I think it was Bud Light.
My first day I covered a baby bear hiding in a tunnel. They coaxed him out by frying bacon at the entrance. Almost as fun as your entree into the newsroom!
I had a hot shower when I got home & my hair grew 3 inches overnight! It's a fab conditioner :)

i'm on cloud 9 just seeing your new pic suzanne. giggity giggity. lol. i'm glad you had a great time, i saw the report this morning, and all i could see is your hand. so in my head i was wondering who's the report that's in the locker room. nice to get my question answered.

as for feeling like i was on cloud 9? hmm i guess it was when i met rob van dam (ecw/wwe wrestler). we talked, had lunch, and he let me hold the world heavyweight title. plus i got a autograph picture from him. he's one of my favorite wrestlers. he's also one of the wrestlers that i least expected to meet.

well at the time rvd owed a comic bood store at the lakewood mall called "5-star comics". when he's not busy working out, traveling, spending time with his family, and wrestling he would actually work at his shop. so i was lucky enough to meet him while he was actually working the day. i remember i bought a autograph picture of randy orton for my sister. she thinks he's cute. so rvd actually went in the back of the store and got it for me and did the register. well he was going to take his lunch break, and he notice that i was so excited about meeting him and knew that i still wanted to talk to him, that he invited me along. so we walked to the near by sub-way. yeah it was amazing to be talking to a guy i grew up watching on tv. i remember we mostly talked about comic's, cartoons, wrestling, ufc, and music. i didnt want to ask him anything too personal. mostly famous people don't like open up that much when it comes to their families. so that's my story. so where did you meet clooney? what did he say to you? what did you ask him?

i met clooney on the red carpet for the cinematheque awards... he was given the top honor that night.
i was so giddy when i met him i was tripping over my words... i asked him what his favorite job was.. actor... producer.. director... i can't even remember what his answer was.
he was just so darned charming and sweet. he was just like the old Hollywood stars you hear him compared to. he's elegant and what sets him apart is that he looks the person he's talking to straight in the eye and has this smirk that just kills me!

I'm rooting for the Colorado Rockies now! This will be payback from both the Dodgers and the Angels! Here's a riddle for you guys: Q: Why is Boston called the Red Sox? A: Because they have blood from the Angels soaking them...and payback is coming! Go Rockies!

Now about other business: Suzanne, you do a great job reporting! And you were a real trooper covering the fires around the Southland, along with everyone else! Now about the baby bear being coaxed out -- that must have been funny! I'll call it Boo Boo! Where's Yogi when you need him?
