I know it's been a while, but I need your help

I hope some of you still remember me...... for those that dont, I used to blog here all the time. I took the summer off to get married, and relax a while. Now, im jumping back in with both feet, so expect to see a ton from me. But my first post back has a purpose. I need your help:

On Sept 4, two of my friends that I work with were in a terrible motorcycle accident. One of them, Mona had to have her left lower leg amputated, broke her arm and had a plate put in her shoulder. Cory had his wrist shattered. My friends are in need of moral, medical and financial help. They are unable to work due to their injuries and lenthy rehab, and are in need of financial support. Mona has her monthly house and living expenses, medical expenses, as well as supporting her two sons, one who she is sending to college. There will be a benefit for Mona at Flatiron Mall on November 17th, from 6 to midnight. Donation is only $7.00. I am asking if there are some business owners or individuals who would be willing to donate items or services to this worthy cause. This is set up as a 501c3, and would be tax deductable for the donation, but it would help to alievate a family's stress as they adjust to the new cards life has delt them.

My thoughts and prayers are with them both Stu, I will look up the info on the benefit too....

Ditto on what V said. That's very kind of you to be doing that for them Stu. I also passed this info along to my sis and bro. They're into the biker circuit and many of their associates are online in various forums, so hopefully it will generate something.

I hope things are going well for you and your new bride. Oh, and Gretaboo too. :)

(Oh, and Mona is a pretty unusual name. There was a woman where I live by the same name who owned a local tavern some time ago. Would you happen to know if it was the same Mona? If it was, I'd have to hit up the racer crowd too, because the bar was a place racers frequented and I’m sure they’d remember her and would want to help out.)
