Idaho Sen. Larry Craig resigned Saturday over a men's room sex sting, bowing to pressure from fellow Republicans worried about a scandal dimming their election prospects.

No, I do not think that he made the right decision to resign. Sen. Craig did not resign for himself, he apparently resigned to limit the amount of damage his actions have caused the Republican Party. But let's face it, Craig is not the only gay person in the Republican party and certainly not the only person, whether gay or not, in either party who has used unconventional methods to obtain or give sexual favors.
How many politicians would be left if every one of them resigned?

As far as his anti-gay stand, it is not unusual to feign opposition for a group in order to keep the eyes off of you.

The Republican party has been in a downhill spiral for quite sometime now. Sen. Craig's resignation is not going to stop it.

Senator Craig used poor judgement ending in this fiasco. Solicitation of sex in a public bathroom, even as a result of a sting, is a asinine thing to do. Yes, he was right to resign. Using poor judgement seems to be a trait held not only by him, in the Republican party. Now if only Bush would resign.

Why should Bush resign? Or did you just put that in there as a general statement? What does Bush have to do with this? Oh.. I guess he is the reason for everything. Sorry, I forgot. Blame Bush for everything, blah blah.

If Craig were a democrat, the main stream media would be regaling us with..."he made a mistake"..."He's only human"..."forgive him , have a heart"...ect. ect. Then he would be re-elected ! To act as if corruption is exclusive only to the republican party is absurd and narrow minded. Just look at your own city government
