My goodness... well I'm officially married! I can definitely say it was the best day of my life, having all of my favorite people in one place. Uche and I got married on September 1st, 2007 at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Rittenhouse Square. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! Our reception was held at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Center City, in the Samuel M.V. Hamilton building. It's funny... I didn't realize how *stressful* the planning process was, until *after* it was over! It's such a relief to have "down time" again... if that makes any sense.  In all... it was worth every single day of stressful planning--- and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!

If you're planning a wedding-- I'd certainly recommend the folks I worked with-- Phil Kramer photography.... he's the best, Ten Pennies florist.... Ann Catania is the best.... Baranette's Bridal in Willow Grove.... that's where I bought my dress... Suky's.... that's where I bought my jewelry.... the best..... I seriously created a wedding "dream team!"

Thank you soooo much for your emails and kind words..... I feel like you guys are part of my family.

Enjoy the pictures.... see you in the morning. :)

Okay, so it's been absolutely *forever* since my last update--- things are just crazy busy these days! In addition to planning a wedding and working to make Good Day Philadelphia the best morning show on tv....(smile).... I still try to visit with kids when I can.---  Anyone who knows me will tell you, I love kids. (They just have so much potential!)  Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet kids at Longstreth Elementary School in Southwest Philly. The kids and their parents are part of a program called "FAST." It stands for Parents and Schools Together. It's an eight week program,  held at different schools throughout the city, and organizers focus on doing activities to strengthen our local families.  When kids are in this program, their grades improve and they have fewer behavioral problems. --- It's really a fantastic program-- if you'd like to read more, check out www.pssckids.org.  I took several pictures--- which I'll put on here as soon as I can. In the meantime, here is a group pic.... I'm on the left!

Oh and by the way... would you believe we *still* didn't get a computer for my grandparents??!!! They read all of your comments though. My grandmother went to her church and had a friend print out all of your responses... since they don't have a computer! My fiance and I went to Best Buy to get them one... but it was too overwhelming, and there were too many choices to get anything accomplished in one weekend. So.. yeah... I'll keep you posted on that one!

Alright... I'm off to speak to high school students with my father! :) It's a program called "Lawyer For A Day" with the Philadelphia Bar Association. My father's a judge.. so it makes since that he's speaking... I'm not sure what I'll add to the conversation... lol ... but I'll do my best.

Have a good weekend!

See you in the morning! :)

Hi-- I figure it's about time for me to create another blog entry. :) I'm putting the "wedding stuff" on hold for now-- because I need a break from it.

So... I have this idea: I'm going back to Kansas next week to visit family, and my grandparents have asked me to help them buy a computer with the internet while I'm there. (I'm sooo happy they've decided to give it a try!)  My grandmother has held out for years... even getting a *computer*... because she says she doesn't want a "mouse" in her house! (She actually wrote a book about our family history, using an old fashioned word processor!)  But anyway  -- I'm going to show them how to navigate the internet--- and show them this blog with their picture-- which I posted too. So when you get a second, you can say hi to them, and they'll read it.  -- It'll make their day! :)  By the way, my grandfather just had a birthday on Valentine's day. I took this picture of them in downtown Wichita, Kansas... at an annual city festival.

--By the way, I enjoyed reading your comments on my last blog. You guys make me smile!

See you in the morning,

Sheinelle :)

Wow... let's start by marking this day-- what is it? February 13, 2007: Sheinelle writes her first blog entry!!

I've been meaning to do this *forever,* but the days keep slipping by. I figured, why not start on Valentine's Day? Well--- it's almost Valentine's Day...

Many of you have emailed me nice things, or comments in general about the show, and I usually respond via email. I sincerely appreciate it.  Really... it's nice to know people are watching and enjoying the show. (It's not always easy waking up at 4 am!)

---Now though, I'm going to try using this "blog" concept... we'll see how it works.

I promise to keep you updated on some of my wedding plans.... because I know I've promised that too! Feel free to chat with me about anything else you want to talk about too-- it'll be our little forum for you to "speak your mind!"  (Within reason of course.) :)

The snow is falling now, so I'm going to run before I have to "slide" all the way home. (Hopefully it won't be too messy!) We'll have the latest in the morning.

I've included a picture of my fiance here--- so it makes this my first official "wedding" entry.  His name is Uche.  And I.... not surprisingly, think he's fabulous!  lol

Thanks for reading my first blog entry! Have a good day-- hope to see you in the morning. :)
