A news blog is meant to inspire intelligent debate amung thoughtful people. Sometimes the debates are very heated and intense but that's perfectly fine by me. What I can't stand is being called names by people who are just not up for the fight. It is always my goal to guide and to raise the bar and set the standard. I have been called stupid, coward, hate monger and others that Fox replaces with "BLEEP". If you know you are going to get an intellectual spanking.....why would you beg for it by being rude and ignorant?

No doubt, like Bill O'Reilly always says that if someone cannot support thier views with facts then they resort to personal attacks.

I love to debate, but it does seem that at least on this blog site people would rather judge and put down eachother rather than have an intellectual debate.

People that are rude or demeaning say more about themselves than the posted topic.

Some people think that just because you "win" a debate that you are being rude. I'm not great speller or typist but I do try to minimize my mistakes. Some people put forth no effort at all to put a thought together. When I point that out I'm a bully and a coward for picking on someone who has limited intelligence. They know enough to subscribe to and post blogs but don't have the ability to open dictionary.com? I have no problem admitting I have that site #1 on my favorites list and is almost always open.

I agree with the majority of the views expressed above.

One of my pet peeves is simple misspellings (to, two, too).

The dumbing down of America occurs here many times daily, but if it is discussed you are demeaned, though it is not meant as an attack on any particular individual. I prefer individuals to show their intellect and have seen several disappear due to being attacked for expressing their views on this subject.

Some who have disappeared are busy right now.Keep on blogging.If people want to debate they will.I have dictionary up all the time.
