Windfall and Excess Profits??

Nobama say's he's going to go after oil company windfall/excess profits and make them pay. As usual he is an Idiot. There is no such thing as excess profits, if you believe there is then your not a business owner or stockholder. Oil Co.'s make  roughly 8.3 cents in gross profit per dollar of sales. Why not slap his tax on sectors of the economy that have fatter margins? Will he? Electronics make 14.5 cents per dollar, computer equiptment 13.7. MicroSoft makes 27.5. Oil and gas companys made $86.5 billion in profits last year. Financial services $498.5 billion, retail industries $137.5 billion, information technology $103.4 billion. Elect this moron and the whole country will lose.

Again that's just politics Rev. and also he is expecting public ignorance. It's easy to blame the overpricing of oil on the oil companies. He expects nobody to look so he can seem like David conquering Goliath. Neither candidate are seriously looking for short or long term relief. They are only interested in what sounds feasible until election time. No politician I can remember ever have followed through with campaign promises anyway so why even bother getting shook up by a bunch of lies?

Jax- why get shook up? Because just enough idiots are out there voting. Since when does the government decide I've made "enough" money? Am I no longer ALLOWED to make as much money as I can to provide for my family and to give to my chosen charities? (and I give a lot). If by working harder and earning more means the government is only going to take it away and give it to those who don't work, then why should I bother to work hard! Why not just strive for mediocrity, and rely on the government to provide everything else?
This thinking is not what made and makes America great and strong.
You summed him up well! Obama's worshipers won't see him that way.

Top 25% of wage earners pay 86% of all income tax

Top 50% of wage earnern pay 97% of all income taxes

Top 1% of wage eaners pay 39% of all income tax

It seems almost half of adults pay no income tax?

Kinda strang that the top 10% make 87% of the money, why they get a free ride on the taxes?

Isn't it strange that the top 10% of the money makers make 87% of the money? Why not tax flat rate on each cash transaction? pay say ten cents on every dollor transacted.
