Wow! I am behind in checking this post. I went to boot camp in Orlando. Club Med, baby! I was stationed in Cecil Field, Florida. Yes, I had "A" school in Memphis. It was a blast! I got to work on some "very cool" technology. Did you all get the gas chamber?

The GAS CHAMBER ! I forgot about THAT !

I was SO PO'D about that. That they would tear gas us so we would know what it was like.

I said "what's next? Are they gonna SHOOT us so we know what that's like ?"

We were in that little building, and you put your gas mask on , they pop the canister, you take off the mask and hang for a few.
They said "Don't try holding your breath, you'll be here longer than that".
Well, I held my breath ANYWAY.
And I would have made it , but for the guy in front of me.
I'm standing there, and holding my breath...
and I'm standing there.... and it's been awhile.... and I'm holding my breath and my eyes were squinted almost all the way shut...and I'm not feeling anything....
and I peer around the guy in front of me...

And HE WAS STANDING THERE WITH HIS EYES CLOSED !
Everybody in front of him had already left !

So, I pushed him and said "COME ON " and then I inhaled 2 lungfuls of tear gas.
I'm sorry I pushed the guy, but I think I'd STILL be standing there in that little building if I hadn't.

Ok, sounds good. But, I'll probably drink club soda.
I don't like to drink and drive. What is it now? 2 beers and you're over the limit ? I don't need the hassle.
Since we're on RachelRegina's blog, shouldn't we extend the invitation to her as well ?
Wouldn't it be rude not to ?

I'll check back in awhile.

When I was in, the Navy had a commercial that ran on tv.

They showed ships and aircraft and happy people.

The tag line was "The Navy. It's not just a job. It's an adventure."

They weren't kidding.

Lol im with you on the beer thing, but id have to drive four hours for it because im living in VA. Can't get any more Navy than that. I was stationed down here last year and i came back home to jersey for about six months then moved back down here.

LOL JT with the Tagline. i def agree. i had good times.....stationed overseas my first command, met at least two people from every state in the U.S. and PR. Yeah....big adventure!

I am a watcher of GDP. Born and raised from Camden, NJ. Prior military (Navy) and has been to Italy, Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Sicily, and Turkey. Sometimes I miss it, but sometimes I don't. Great times, met good people.
