Now that Alycia Lane was fired from NBC 10, do you think anyone else will hire her in the area or will she go back to Miami? Maybe Fox can hire her.......

ok, so ive always been dying to know...can you reporters please answer this question...what type of schedule do you work? how do you get your stories? it looks as if it is a stressful job, even if you're doing one of those "feel good" stories like Gerald Kolpan. But I've always wanted to know what is a "typical" (if that word is even in your vocabulary to describe it) day for you. This question mainly goes out to the general assignment ones like Julie Kim, Steve Keeley, and Joyce Evans. So can any of you give you me an answer? Some how, i think Julie would be the first to give me one because i always see her posts on here. HI JULIE!
ps. your labrador is adorable! I want one being as though me and my friend just moved in a new house but unfortunately, she doesn't want a big dog. :(

Well for the last two weeks I made a road trip with my friend. We drove 16 hours from norfolk, va, to covington, louisiana. talk about tiring! we drove through seven states and agreed that NC took the LONGEST to drive through only because we are technically three hours from VA but SC actually took longer. We went through seven states: VA, NC, SC, AL, GA, and MS . It was great because being prior military i have visited several countries being stationed overseas for two years and not several states. being a northener by birth, it was different being in the south. ALOT of green stuff. I think they are called trees, and in South VA we even saw cotton fields and old houses with slave quarters behind them still in good condition. We also saw a lot of those um.....flags. The south is very friendly. While we were there, my friend got free food and everyone speaks to you (which can get you cursed out in the north, lol!) and yes, it was HOT down in LA. so while you guys were freezing i was wearing my capri's and ballet shoes. I didn't visit New Orleans, though I was only an hour away, but I did get to eat ALOT of southern food like po'boys, gumbo, HOMEADE pork rinds (called cracklin's in the LA) and fried liver (which i didnt like). I must admit, i had a great time and loved being around the folks. They think us northerners are rude and always in a rush and say that we are used to the cold. I told them i love the hot weather down here. When it was time to leave, I was happy, but I would like to go down there again. Maybe take a plane because the driving was LONG!
