I am outraged at the coverage that Fox News showed of the three prior convicted criminals who were armed and considered dangerous by the police as they just left a shooting scene. They were subdued by police and when they were cuffed and secured they were taken away to jail. Fox news covered this story with a sensationalist style of reporting as if they just discovered something worth gossiping about. The reporting was one sided and still continues to be. I have not a police officers family interviewed or any police officers attempted to be interviewed. It seems that Fox news has the one side they needed and how sad that at a time when the PPD is mouring the murderer of another brother is the time that you choose to "uncover" and completly blow out of proportion the arrests. It seems so desperate the attempt that you have made to draw a line between this departments sense of loss to how these criminals were treated. What a way to dishonor everything that three of our Philadelphia Police Department have now DIED for. It is so disrespectful to cover the funeral of Sgt. Liczbinsky and then show coverage of the "beatings" and if you really cared about this matter just give the footage to the mayor and ask him to investigate. Now a nationally covered media event that you have made sure that your news team got credit for, you have dishonored our fallen heroes and continue to disrespect the people that protect this city everyday from the prior convicted fellons that roam our streets and are sucking our city dry. As for me and my family, we will continue to love, and respect our fathers, brothers, sisters, mothers, family and friends who strap on that vest and badge and do the best that they can, even though they are outmanned, outgunned and disrespected. God Bless you Philadelphia Police Department for all of your hard work and sacrifices and Thank you.

I agree with you. And I think that is why John Atwater tried to deflect some of the heat by posting the blog to make it look like the Phila police had mistaken one of the three criminals that were beaten for cop killer Floyd.
Stop with the smoke screen you did have one sided reporting.
Also now look with you did Fox 29, Al Sharpton, one of the premier media Hos and his clown circus has now come to town.

A shame that the "reverend" can not share his faith with the PPD who need it the most in their time of loss. No, he is a disgrace for anyone who believes in anything. I wonder how much money is being donated to his church now to come to Philadelphia. He should pray with both sides and pray for peace and justice in this torn up town. No, there is no money or media power in that. Way to go, Fx.

I don't about Sharptons motives. But your motives are clear and your bias even more so. Can you please explain what justifies police officer kicking "suspects" who are obviously subdued and on the pavement?

I am a retired soldier... should I use the fact that I was in green to justify what my brothers and sisters at arms were doing to those prisoners at that prison in Iraq. Should I turn a blind eye to that since they have pledged their live to protect and defend the Constitution of the USA?

No... I cannot and will not and should not let my heart and faith in the United States Army protect the guilty and condemn the innocent. Their are blog on the net saying that this was a case of mistaken identity. Will you now in this very blog go even further and say it's still justified?

Even with that though I understand and grieve in my heart for men and women of the PDD that have dedicated their lives to helping others. But I also congratulate Fox News for exposing what is clearly criminal behavior on the part of those pledged to prevent it.

Funny seeing you here Style! Lol... I think John Atwater actually made it worse. Fuel to the fire. PPD witnessed the shooting. I don't they thought it was anything to do with Floyd. Let me not get started on the media. CNN, MSNBC, radio stations all across the US are now focused on Philly and NY. The cops that EXECUTED (yeah I said it) EXECUTED an innocent man on his wedding day are set free. A few officers that took it too far... Man some have been fired, demoted, and transfered! You gotta be sh**in' me! I am outraged. Really outraged.

Statue-- there is no justification. The officers did take it too far. However, there are two sides to the story. Not trying to make it seem better... Come walk in my shoes for a day. I'll bet your aspect on life changes. We are now the hunted instead of the HUNTERS...

In response to StatueMan, Come ride a day in the 17th and I'll show you why officers sometimes "go over the line"! If you would see some of the filthy disgusting things that these people do on a daily basis, it would make your stomach sick! Thes so-called "suspects" are not suspected of anything --- they were SEEN by police shooting someone! That elevates them from "suspects" to "DO-ERS". You and the rest of the liberal mind based people in this city are exactly why these people are the way they are -- MUTANTS!
As long as we let people get away with this kind of stuff, they will keep doing it. I have actually been spit on for doing my job. I have actually been punched in the face for doing my job. And all that people can say is "well, that's what you signed up for", no that is not what I signed up for! If this is the way that this country is headed, I'm moving to Canada. Instead of making excuses for trash like these criminals are, why don't we vote for some judges that will actually sentence these people and keep them off the streets! Take a look at the last 3 killers of the officers, and that will tell you why parole is such a bad idea( In case you didn't know, all of them were released early and were being supervised)

OK Statueman: You need to ease off these people. You quickly defend people that are suspected of killing & shooting (among other things) but still fail to see where the cops and their families are coming from. These cops are working under extreme duress that of which most of us can't relate to. Most of the bloggers that are strongly against the police understand how our young black men are placed on an almost definite path of self-destruction when having to grow up with the lack of parental stability, not completing their education, having the dangers and temptations of the streets tapping on their shoulders everyday and under those extremities losing control is only a matter of time. NOW with that being said put yourself on the path of the police officers - outmanned on the street sometimes without a partner, outgunned when they are facing automatic weapons that fire off 15 rounds before they can fire off their first. Not to mention the thugs have body armor that protects them from the glock but the cops' vests are easily penetrated by the force of the more powerful weapons. Overworked because there are not enough of them to cover the heavy crime areas which forces more overtime for our already overworked officers. They put their lives on the line everyday for YOU and all those people taking a stand AGAINST THEM and still they go back out tomorrow to PROTECT & SERVE you and the same people that berate them. Remember that when you are about to call 911 for help. Over the line Statueman - blogging all the way from LA. I know there are enough extreme matters in LA to keep you

(CUT-OFF BEFORE ENDING ABOVE) Statueman: I know there are enough extreme matters in LA to keep you a busy blogger - let the Philadelphians handle their own affairs in their own communities.

PhillyBlue.........I think fox29 should have a team do about 10 tours with you, in the heat of summer, with cameras rolling, of course. Maybe then people will get an idea of what you guys and gals have to put up with on a DAILY basis. They can always blur-out the faces of the dregs on the finished video.

It could be a dangerous assignment.

Any volunteer's Fox? You're still my favorite news cast, but, lets not let "fair and balanced" get lost in the shuffle here.
