Today I stood at Parade rest for a Man I never even Knew. I was there from 9:00am to well after 7:00pm. I did this for a Fallen Community member. I am proud to be an American, so I left an American Flag T-shirt and and stuffed puppy dog. I am also a Philadelphia Guardian Angel.
I met several people today who did Know this man! Not a ONE of them had a negative word about him or his family. One Couple saw how cold I was and bought me 4 cups of coffee and two muffins.
Senator Williams has offered a $10,000 dollar reward for this perpatrator(s) arrest and conviction. A woman in the crowd gave all she had on her (sorry I didn't get her name). A community gathered to remember a TRUE American Hero.
I learned from many speakers that Mr. D'Antonio was a decorated Viet Nam Viet, a family man, a husband, a father and a mentor.
Melvin Figeuroa (who lost his daughter to violence) arrived and he said it best, " In the morning, Mr. D'Antonio's loving spouse left home a wife, but return home a Widow Yesterday".
We the community need to be outraged by this senseless act of violence perpatrated on this gentile and compassionate man and his family.
Their memory of this holiday and all other holidays will be marred with this tragedy.
It is time to speak up if you know anything of this henious crime or any other crimes to call either the 12 district police dept, or Senator Williams office. You can also call We Tip. All these numbers are available through 411. Its not called "SNITCHING", its called being a GOOD CITIZEN.
Again, We lose another GOOD GUY to a thug/punk/coward.
You punks will Atone for your Sins when you finally meet your maker and Mr. D'Antonio and the other countless victims will be looking right at you when you are sent to hell in dammnation for all Eternity.
Thugs and Punks, you make me, and now Southwest Philadelphia SICK.
We vowed tonight to take back our streets. I told them all, "If you want to take back the street, you will all need to get in the street".
I for one will fight the good fight. I might die, but I promise you all I am going to take some of you with me.

Hey Punk! Did you see your video of your crime at the Oak Lane Dunkin's Donuts. You left sometime behind. Can you guess what it was ?
I was wondering dude, have you ever been in trouble with the law before? By the way you were dressed I am going to guess you have been.
We couldn't see your face because a coward like you would never let us see the scum that you are. You also give the black community a bad rap too.
A young black male robbed the donation box of the Murdered Police Officer at the same location that another young black male killed him.
Since you are so STUPID to guess what you left behind, maybe you should watch CSI.
let me give you a Clue DUMMY-Fingerprints and DNA.
Better get your uncle to drive you to Deleware for a bus ticket to Miami. Your 15 minutes of fame are soon to be your Christmas Gift.
YOU ARE SO STUPID AND LOW CLASS.

I have seen in many various large grocery stores the practice of retrieving foods left By customers who didn't want the product on another shelf location in the store.
Some items are meats and poultry and frozen foods. With the recent outbreaks of contaminated foods, don't you think that this practice needs to be stops or at least revised to not allow grocery store employee's from putting this type food back on the shelf for unsuspecting consumers to buy. I recently bought a TV diner and cooked it properly , yet I still got food poisoning.
I cant believe this hasn't been discussed yet on the news media

I am so sorry that this family has lost their little boy in such a tragic way. I am sure the driver of the vehicle that struck the little boy feels just as bad too.
What I didn't see in the article is whether the driver was speeding. I watch the news every night and I saw this segment aired too. The driver was not cited nor arrested. This could only mean that the driver did nothing wrong and that the child was not being properly supervised.
It is therefore my opinion, that the speed bumps are not going to deter good driver's from driving better. I am sorry but I can't agree to the added exspense for these road bumps.
I do however suggest that the city conduct a speed study on that street and if after the study is conducted if they reccomend the "bumps" then by all means install them.
In the meantime, lets remind ourselves as parents, that we must teach are children not to run into the street.
God must have needed this little boy to be with him.
My condolences to all concerned.

Hey Fox29 news, cant you make it a little bit smaller so we cant identify these thugs? I for one want to see how the look and see there faces close up so I can id them on the street.
I am sure that indivual photo's in the mug shot books are available. Please make them available to us citizens. I am however gald to see that the list now is only 9 most wanted as Dennis Lemon was captured. However, I am saddened to know that his place surely was picked up by another thug waiting for his place of fame.
The tragedy of these men make me think of the song "I cant cry hard enough". see the lyric's below:
Performed By: Victoria Williams
Written By: David Williams & Marvin Etzioni
From the Album: Swing the Statue p & c 1990 Rough Trade Records
I'm going to live my life
Like every day's my last
Without a simple goodbye
It all goes by so fast
And now that you're gone
I can't cry hard enough
No I can't cry hard enough
For you to hear me now
I'm going to open my eyes
And see for the first time
I've let go of you like
A child letting go of his kite
There it goes up in the sky
There it goes beyond the clouds
For no reason why
I can't cry hard enough
No I can't cry hard enough
For you to hear me now
I'm going to look back in vain
And see you standing there
When all that remains
Is just an empty chair
And now that you're gone
I can't cry hard enough
No I can't cry hard enough
For you to hear me now
