Nearly 2 years ago, Chinika Perez was shot and barely spared from death. The gunman – a man she had been dating- shot her in the leg. The bullet pierced a main artery which left her permanently disabled. The shooting robbed the 28-year-old of her mobility. She spends her days in a wheelchair, because her left leg is gone at the hip and her right one is missing below the knee. But on Monday, NBA star Kobe Bryant teamed up with Conicelli Honda and gave her a gift that will give her back some independence. They donated handicap accessible mini-van. Now Chinika can move around... get places... hang out with her 2 kids.
