Hey guys,

I did this story tonight on how the FDA is expected to clear the way for milk and meat from cloned animals to be sold in supermarkets nationwide, as early as next week.

The decision is expected to generate intense opposition from several consumer groups...especially because of safety issues/concerns.

I've got to say...by far, it's one of the most "interesting" topics I've ever covered.

Cloned meat and milk!?!? What?!?!

I've got to ask- Would you buy cloned meat and milk?

I'm not a supporter of cloning, but, can it be any worse than some of the processed foods we eat?

I think the product should be labeled as a "cloned product" or something like that, so we can make a choice.

It DEFINITELY should be labeled, but nah, I don't want it.

We and THEY don't know if it's any worse than some of the processed foods we eat.

Looks like we're gonna find out.

I agree with the labeling, but I don't have much of a problem with it.
I'm more concerned about things like Bovine Growth Hormone. I do not want any of that milk.

I understand your position.

After reading the jungle as a kid....

I'm not scared of hot dogs, cloned food, bio engineered veggies etc...

At least we are not eating Soylent Green.

OK. Cool. But there wasn't any cloned food in The Jungle.

Just scrapple and stuff like that.

And we ALL know that scrapple is made from ground-up pig noses.

I agree with you guys...the cloned products should be labeled, but do you really think anyone's going to buy the products?!!?

I think the word "CLONING" alone scares people off! No?

I think it would IF they're labeled.

Remember awhile back the story about irradiated meats ? A lot of people said they wouldn't buy them.

I don't think they're labeled.

Yes, from a MyFoxLA user! A story also broke out in Southern California about this! My big concern is this: What kind of health problems are going to rise as a result of this? Electrons is right...messing with nature will backfire...and with catastrophic results. If any of you can receive the show "Healthline with Dr. Bob Marshall" on radio, Dr. Marshall speaks out against cloned foods of any kind. He is a nutritionist who had a nearly fatal disease back in 1976, and he fought back by researching medical sciences, the bible, and diets people used to eat before the "advancements" in medicine. He beat the odds, and continues to help others with what he has learned.

Cloned meat can be bad news...be very careful with what you eat!

Oh yes, FDA please label the products!
