I was just wondering why many authors of Jena 6 posts don't offer a chance to comment. Has anyone else noticed this also?

I saw on the 6 pm news that the authorities are going to go after credit card companies that solicit business on campus. The report says that students can "sign up" for a free pizza or sandwich by filling out a credit app.  One young lady on camera says she now owes 5000.00, "just for signing up for a pizza". I am sure that credit card went shopping all by itself. These are COLLEGE students, not elementary students! It takes a certain amount of intelligence just to attend college. Sorry, but I have no pity for them. I guess this is what's called "The school of hard knocks" -or- "What's a matta U"

Newworldpatriot, you mentioned that my space is deleting your posts. If you look out your window right now, you will see the black helicopters. Be sure to check your food and beverages for flouride and other mind controlling agents. That person you "met" at the grocery store is really a spy. 

There was no opportunity to comment on Neworldpatriot's blog about this subject, so I had to start the opportunity to comment.  I started to read and digest this blog, and then I re-read the supposed author, Ivor E. Tower. Nice try newworld.

If it is really true that someone will be editing or filtering blogs, then our ability to enjoy this pastime will be lost. Too bad........ it was fun!    Maybe I will c-ya all later.

It is obviously a true fact of life that people with limited income and resources need to purchase an older car, many with high mileage. I fully agree that 60% interest on a car loan is criminal, and the way these folks were treated on the video was nasty. The words "as-is" tho, mean EXACTLY that, AS IS. That part is also a fact of life. I do not believe that a government at any level has the authority to legislate this issue. It would be impossible to have the government protect every aspect of our lives so that we can walk down the street and count the butterflies and rainbows. You would then be a robot with no need to think for yourself. Life is full of risks, no matter what your economic situation. That also is a fact of life.

I don't feel that any of those topics are suitable to qualify as a display of any sort, much less a Holiday display.I think it was done primarily for it's "shock value" and really portrays someone looking for attention that he or she is missing from life. I may say tongue-in-cheek though, that with the recent intrusions by the government on our freedoms,one of those displays is very close to the impending truth.

I have a question as to how the following situation would be handled. Let's say that a person who works for a company that bans smoking has a spouse at home that smokes? Is that worker not exposed to the very EVIL substance that the employer's meddling was trying to protect against? Would they fire that worker? Would they force a divorce,separation? Would they call for yet another law? Afterall, they would certainly HAVE to do something as second hand smoke is THE main issue when these do-gooder, self-appointed elite get on their soapbox and try to control others lives. What about drinkers? What about people with chronic illnesses? Remember that Adolph Hitler tried to control the health of his citizens. Starting to sound familiar? God help us!

Now people have problems with electronic voting? Last election it was problems with paper ballots, counting,etc. What shall we do next election? Shall we each write our selections on a scrap of paper and place them into 55 gallon drums? They could then be counted by someone trustworthy [?] and the results published the following year! It seems as if the very people who alleged problems with paper ballots and wanted a better method are the ones complaining now about electronic votes. Whine, Whine, Whine. Get over it!!

Now I see that the city of New York is considering a ban on trans fats. It will become AGAINST THE LAW for any restaurant to serve any item containing trans fat. How much of your freedom to choose are we willing to give up in the name of safety? Are Americans no longer smart enough to make their own decisions? Look around you folks, Big Brother is approaching quickly. Pretty soon we can all greet each other by "comrade". Wake up America!
