If you have a lead foot this is for you! Imagine never having to pay another speeding ticket!

TraffiCare says, with them on your side, you don't have to! TraffiCare is almost like having ticket 'insurance.'

Here's how it works: pay the $12.95 monthly membership fee and you're allowed up to seven moving violations a year. That means you never have to pay the fines or increases in insurance premiums! The creator, Troy Simpson told me, "you would pay around $12.95 to be covered for speeding, red light, seat belt, stop sign, yield sign, illegal lane change, anything considered hazardous."

Is it worth it?

We crunched the numbers. The average speeding ticket in Pennsylvania is about $100 (probably more). TraffiCare costs about $13 bucks a month so that's $156 a year.

If you only got two tickets adding up to $200, TraffiCare would pay for itself, save you an extra $44 AND any jump in insurance! Simpson explained, "if a person receives a ticket, insurance company gets wind of it, they're gets raised $15 per month well TraffiCare steps in and pays that $15 per month for the life of the contract."

Remember this only works for moving violations. If you get a parking ticket or a ticket for not having your drivers license or insurance, that's on you.

How could you forget to mention the points that get added up with each of those violations?

Eventually it will lead to a suspension, and how will they help you then?

But, you still get the points and your license can still be revoked. The conviction is on your record.

You are right! This program will not protect you legally. Yes, it will pay for your tickets but if you rack up points on your license, that's your responsibility. TrafiCare puts a limit on the number of tickets they'll pay for each year (7) but that doesn't mean you should TRY to get 7 tickets! You'd probably lose your license before then anyway! When I tell people about this story some people wonder if it encourage reckless driving? What do you think?

Well considering you get at the least 3 points per ticket, and lose your license after 7 points, I think ticket insurance is a scam. Pay yourself every month in a savings account and atleast you can collect interest to help your speeding tickets...
Cops give them out like candy to begin with, it's crazy!

I just feel that a story on something like this should come with a warning about the other consequences of getting these tickets.

I deal with enough people every day who think that the only option is to pay a ticket when actually just paying the ticket does more harm than good most of the time.

"When I tell people about this story some people wonder if it encourage reckless driving? What do you think?"

I don't think you are encouraging reckless driving any more than any attorney who defends someone from a moving violation. Again I would just make sure, when speaking of this program, that it is clear that this does not cover all of the consequences of these tickets.

Are you kidding me? This is absolutely absurd! Who is this guy? Drivers speed and run red lights all the time, endangering people's lives and now they can pay a small fee and not worry about it! Just great. What's next? Insurance to let you drink and drive legally.

Great, incentive for idiots to drive with even less care. GOD HELP OUR CHILDREN.

This insurance should be cross refrenced with auto insurance. Yes, you could save big bucks on tickets, but once cross refrenced to your carrier you should get slammed with a huge rate increase. Michelle, you think this is a good product to offer people already prone to put others at risk???? You must not have children to worry about!
