On April 3, 2008 Sean P. Conroy (a while male) was killed by 4 balck young men on the 13th Steet El Platform in Philadelphia- where is Al Sharpton or the NAACP speaking out against the injustice done to this man on behalf of his family?  Conroy was killed shortly before his wedding.......

On March 15, 2008 Dameon O'rourke (a white teenager) was beat by 7 black male teenagers, where is Al Sharpton or the NAACP to speak out against the injustice done to him?

On March 5, 2008 Eve Carson the North Carolina Student Body president (a white woman) was shot and killed by a black male when the shooter and two others car-jacked her........where is Al Sharton or the NAACP to speak out again the injustice done to her and the bright future that she had lost?

On March 5, 2008 18 year old Lauren Burk ( white) an Auburn University student was killed by black males when they car-jacked her.   Where is Al Sharpton or the NAACP to speak out again the injustice?

The answer to all of the above is that the victims were the wrong color.

No, I am not a racist but I can see what is happening right in front of me.  The white people are discriminated against everyday.    I want to start a PEACEFUL organization to speak out on behlaf of white people all over the country when they need it.   I also want to start the United Caucasian College Fund.   There are plenty of under-privledge white kids who need help paying for college.  Who is with me?     There is no way that anyone can fight us with that.  White people are entitled the same exact things that  black people are.   I am so sick of the BS!!

What happend to African Americans in the past is horrible, it really is and I am sorry that the people of the past had to go through what they had to go through I REALLY am but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!   All people were persecuted in the past in one form or another.   ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

Al Sharpton says he can not allow this type of attack on his community why isn't he speaking out against the number of teen black pregnancies and how come he is not speaking out on behalf of Black women for the fact that most of them have to raise their children ALONE and that has a lot to do with why the black community is struggling, because there are almost NO POSITIVE MALE ROLE MODELS.  And why isn't he speaking out on behalf of the three guys who were shot the night of the "beating"?

WHO IS WITH ME?

In my opinion, there are a ton of racial double standards that must be eliminated before we can move forward, as AMERICANS!....Not blacks, whites, hispanics, ect.

I agree with you, and Al Sharpton can take his clown circus back to NYC

I don't want to hear anything from him until we get an apology about:
Tawana Brawley for accusing six white men of rape, some of whom were police officers. Which all turned out to be bogus. Rev. Al Sharpton jumped on that media bandwagon as one of the more vocal of those that accused the innocent WHITE men.
Brawley and her family moved to Virginia, taking with them a "defense fund" of $300,000 which had been contributed by well-wishers. There remains an outstanding warrant in New York against the two for ignoring the subpoena. Tawana Brawley later converted to Islam and changed her name to Maryam Muhammad.
Al Sharpton has been faulted not only because he defended Brawley's story well after its veracity came into question, but because he leveled unfounded accusations and, according to many, played "the RACE card."

In 1995, a Jewish store owner in Harlem was accused of driving a black record store owner out of business, when the United House of Prayer, one of the largest black landlords on 125th Street, raised the rent on the Fashion Mart owned by a Jew, Freddy Harari, who then raised the rent on his subtenant, Sikhulu Shange, who ran a record store. At one of many rallies meant to scare the Jewish owner away, Sharpton said, “…There is a systematic and methodical strategy to eliminate our people from doing business off 125th Street. I want to make it clear…that we will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business.” Following a demonstratio

All blacks out!” In addition to shooting, he set fire to the building, eventually killing himself and seven others. Initially, Sharpton denied having spoken at any rallies. When tapes surfaced, he said, “What’s wrong with denouncing white interlopers?” , it was Sharpton's words that incited the riots and these deaths

AL SHARPTON THINKS THAT IT IS OK FOR BLACKS TO COMMIT CRIMES AGAINST WHITES, BUT WHEN WHITES COMMIT CRIMES AGAINST BLACKS, THAT IS NOT OK. HE IS THE FIRST ONE TO PROTEST FOR THE BLACKS WHEN THEY ARE CAUGHT BY THE POLICE AND ARE FACING PUNISHMENT FOR THEIR CRIMES, BUT YOU DO NOT HEAR A WORD FROM HIM WHEN IT IS THE OTHER WAY AROUND. IS THIS NOT A DOUBLE STANDARD OR WHAT?

BY THE WAY, LOOKS LIKE AL SHAPRTON HAS HIS HANDS FUN LATELY. HE WAS ARRESTED IN NYC LAST WEEK DURING A PROTEST AND NOW HE IS BEING INVESTIGATED FOR TAX FRAUD. I GUESS HIS "RACIST" WAYS AND ACTIONS ARE CATCHING UP WITH HIM. LOOKS LIKE "KARMA" IS TAKING ITS COUSE-WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM SENT TO JAIL...

With all of this stuff going on why hasn't anyone done anything about it? It is insane! I've said before; If Martin Luther King Jr. were here he would be outraged and what is going on in the black community and I am sure he would not be happy with the spin Al Sharpton puts on everything. The last thing he wanted was special treatment. He would now be Marching for the black community to take ownership and responsibility for their own lives and the lives of their families. I really think he would be ashamed......... What a disgrace.

I agree with you totally. I just want to know why Al Sharpton only visited 1 of the boys and not all 3 while he was at the prison Sunday? I don't get it. I don't see the point he is trying to make, maybe its because he just doesn't make sense. Plain and simple his fight is against whites only, its not to help the black community at all.

I'm a lite skinned African American who was raised in both the ghetto of south central los angeles and the opulence of Santa Barbara California... mom divorced Dad... both were lite skinned blacks who had darker siblings.

Needless to say when my first cousins kids meet me for the first time they're taken back a bit as I look them in the eye and say "Yeah you got some white in you!"

OK so on topic... I hear what you folks are saying but don't start like a minority before you become one. Try to stop putting so much importance on being white (some of you). Nothing is more boring then to have a purple person constantly mentioning the fact that they're purple.

Lastly... I'm going to write a blog to address your blog Menamouse cause I believe what you said you said from the best parts of your heart and soul and mind. There is nothing white about that... there need be no us and them or I'd have to constantly apologize to myself for all that cotton.

Al is a hate mongerer who stirs-up the most basic of human emotion with his filth and creates racial anomosity from which he lines his pockets. He use black people to "GET RICH"......sorta of disgusting actually. He is no better than a slave owner!!! Oh except the skin color thing. Every timme he opens his fat mouth, he sets race relations back 20 minutes.....think how many times he's open his mouth. It's truly staggering!!!

I know tension is high and Al Sharpton has a gift of bringing out the worst in people. However, he really isn't a hate monger or a racist for that matter -- just a money grubbing media BLEEP that needs to play the race card to stay paid. I saw him on an Oprah special and a panel of black people (including Oprah) ripped him after the Don Imus scandal -- for making a big deal over Imus because it carried weight and mentioned countless examples of situations that he didn't go after because they were too "low key" -- if the cameras won't go there the money won't follow. So, there are people in the black community that know he's a joke as well.
Respectfully,
PhillyBred

That's even worse, peddling influence and getting rich off the back of his own race. He is hate filled, not only to Whites, but Blackes as well. There is not a place in H3LL dark enough for a wretched, filthy ,hateful, a-hole like him.

Yours is written alot better....lol I think everyone on here has made a good point. I think he is racist and I don't feel he is a positive role model for the black community. One thing I've heard a lot too is that when there is a positive black male role model, "he's acting to white" what is that? Sharpton attacks Obama about grandstanding in front of whites - THE MAN MAY HAVE BLACK SKIN BUT HE IS HALF WHITE AS WELL. Maybe Al doesn't think sometimes but even that little remark makes me think he is racist.

You hit the nail on the head! Equality unless to their advantage. Can you arrange a sit down with Al Sharpton and Bill Cosby. Maybe Bill can set him straight. Where do I sign up?

Al Sharpton Race Card

Tags1, that is a great idea!! I am seriously considering this. I will look into starting a non-profit organization. What should we call it?

ibejim, that is classic!

Starting a non-profit organization to address an issue is what makes this country so wonderful. In fact a truely effective organization that fights crime by positively affecting the lives of possible future criminals is one heck of alot more cost effective then building bigger jails, courthouses and prisons.

But more on Topic...

I think that MLK was not very popular in his day and Jackson and Sharpton are not popular for many of the same reasons. Why is it the media let's these men speak as if their voices are representative of certain people?

Because they are... I must admit I didn't like Sharpton when the media first started using him. I still don't like the way the media uses him and sometimes him only. But could any civil rights leader come on and criticize that video and not get a tounge lashing from some of you? If MLK rose from the dead and criticized those cops on that video for beating subdued suspects many of you would still take offense.

Black people need to stop looking at it as if it is us vs them (black vs. white) and start looking at this as good vs. evil and right vs. wrong.

GiaS1981

I would take offense if MLK came back from the dead and criticized those cops because we had 3 big stiuations going on.
1. A dead cop
2. 3 men shot
3. 3 men beaten

Which situation is the worst? I think I listed them in order. Al seems to not be concerned with number 1 or 2. People do not understand why. Therefore, people do take offense to him. It may possibly be because of the way the media portrays him.

One who takes offense says "Hey Al, what about the boys who were shot too?" or "Hey Al, what makes situation number 3 so much more important than 2?" I guess since we didn't see it happen, it's not as important.

Criticize the police for beating 3 men who just drove friend number 4 to shoot someone in retaliation. They don't get my sympathy whether they were white, black, purple or blue.
