Why when I first click on to myfoxphilly.com is the police beating the first thing I see??  Why isn't the "front page" news telling the story that Floyd is still missing?  And why doesn't the story include descriptions of the injuries to the 3 men who were shot Monday night which caused the chase in the first place?  Also, they are showing the Mothers of these guys on the news, why isn't the news interviewing the Mothers of the three men who were shot?

I thank you, as a wife of a Phila. Police Officer, for your kind hearted words. It's funny that I have come across your comments on several different blogs, and they are sincere on every post you make. We all know that the system isn't, and probably never will be perfect, but let's be honest, it's the criminals who make all the mayhem happen. Thanks again...

I completely agree with you. The focus is always on the police. People do not realize that they cannot just shut down their adrenaline as soon as a car chase comes to an end.

im sorry for the loss, but there are people, men women and children that get killed every day that dont get any news, or one hundred and fifty thousand dollar reward and a huge billboard. as for why because thats the way this country is, just like cops get away with beatings, and shooting all the time.your be mad when u read this but thats ok for its just the facts. they maybe the law but there not above it. they need to follow it just like you and me

Cosmocat, thank you, I mean every word:) Serkone, 1) It is not the fault of the police that the communities do not step up when other people are killed. And let's not blame the country either. If the same memeber of the community that are always complaining about the violence would step up to the place and rat on people everyday not just when there is a $155,000 reward the streets would be safer. Also, if I am not mistaken, the majority of those killed in the streets of Philadelphia are usually doing soemthing they are not supposed to be doing and apparently the community doesn't value their lives the way they do the police.......again, that is not the the fault of the police and do not forget the media's role in everything.
2) I agree, the police are not above the law, I think they are held at a higher standard than the average citizen but they are human and they do make mistakes. When I see the video of last Monday night I have mixed feelings........was it excessive? Ask the mother's of the three men who were shot that night. It was a rough week for the entire city. I support the Philadelphia Police, but just like my family, I always support them but I do not always support what they do, there is a difference. I think the City shold do whatever they have to get past this.

With that being said, how come the "beating" is on every National news station but the murder of Officer Liczbinski was not? Again, remember the Media's role in this.
