I say we round up all the illegals we can, shake them down of their cash, and donate it to the firefighting cause. We pay our taxes faithfully, while these scumbags don't , and use more of our services than the average American; so...we should take Lynx buses around with a sign on them saying "More free benefits." Once the buses are loaded, deputies board with a collection plate!

TM6068...you must have missed the part of refunds did not include those who married an immigrant and those not an American citizen. You twisted the point here! The important thing here is our fellow Floridian's who have lost everything including their homes! This has nothing to do with Illegals but has everything to do with helping people who needs our help NOW! Are you willing to do so as suggested?

Mater, I applaud your idealism, but in reality, ALL of us are hurting these days. Most of us will likely put that money into our gas tanks, or on our delinquent mortgage payments.
While my heart breaks for the people who lost everything to some lousy scumbag arsonist, what little we can give will do little to alleviate their loss. The insurance will replace the houses, furnishings etc, but we all know that no amount of money will replace the personal items that those people held near and dear.
Your heart is in the right place Mater, but for most of us struggling to keep our own homes, it's just not feasible.
But, god bless you for trying.

Mater01 this is very thoughtful and I wish I could give up my money BUT I CAN'T I AM OVERWHELMED with my own bills and personal life right now. It is sad that this is happening BUT THEY NEED TO CAPTURE THE ARSONIST AND KILL.............sorry I am a bit angry this morning as you can see.

I'm not twisting the point; I pay taxes...and the taxes funnel to emergency services. We could have better emergency services, and other services throughout the state if we weren't funding handouts for illegals! Heck, you missed the point! I've paid enough in taxes.

Fox has a link that shows what is needed for these people that has no home to go to right now because it's all ashes now. While they are in the evacuation locations and motel rooms they still have needs! Insurance companies takes their sweet time paying on any claims as we all know and to help out in any way to those people that need us now is commendable, Mater count me in!

Even $50 can provide something, toothbushes - mouthwash, deodorant, diapers, food, drinks...and so on, to a families needs right now...has people forgotten how hard it is to get back on their feet again and the time in which it takes?
