'GET-R-DUN'

"The 'virtual fence' is virtually useless," says Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA). The recent failure of the highly touted "virtual fence" (that DHS spent more than $20 million developing) is a slap in the face to every citizen who has been demanding control of the borders.

But DHS isn't committed to securing the borders. If they were, they would have followed the mandates of the Secure Fence Act, and duplicated the barrier built in San Diego.

That 14-mile fence has been extremely effective in lowering illegal crossings and drug traffic. In fact, apprehensions have decreased due to fewer crossings. In simple language, the double-layered fence works.

Hunter is so incensed by the current state of border fencing-- single-layer, and virtual fencing that he’s introduced legislation demanding that it "restores the most important elements of the Secure Fence Act," notably 700 miles of double-layered fencing to be constructed within six months of the bill’s enactment.

H.R. 5124 is strongly supported and should be strongly supported by every citizen in the nation who is serious about border security.

To add…
Representative Gayle Harrell (R-81) doesn't like the idea of Florida being a "Sanctuary State", and she's doing something about it.

Harrell introduced the "The Florida Safe Borders Act of 2008"(HB 821), a bill that would crack down on illegal aliens and their employers, and empower state and local officials to investigate and report illegal aliens and their employers. Harrell needs our help!

This important bill is currently stuck in the Government Efficiency and Accountability Council, and your help is needed to move it forward. If this bill is not read by this counsel, relief from the increasing pressure of illegal aliens draining benefits and services from Florida taxpayers will only worsen. That's why we are counting on our Florida members to take immediate action.

There is even a movie unlike any you have seen. It's called "Border", and it’s the one movie the open-bordered leadership in our nation doesn’t want you--or anyone else to see. Why? Because it tells a true story. It's not Hollywood fiction with a happy ending. "Borders" is a raw firsthand video record of one man's journey to our borders and the unspeakable horrors that he found.

Here you'll discover the true level of lawlessness at our borders -- the rape trees, and the death. You'll experience the frustration being felt by ranchers, farmers and citizens who are desperately trying to hang on to their land being overrun by vicious gangs and drug smugglers.

And most shocking of all, you'll witness drug mules being escorted across the border into the U.S. by Mexican military! Our leaders don't want you to know how serious this situation has become. They prefer we all remain ignorant to the real truth--the truth that Chris Burgard captured on film--the truth that is guaranteed will make your blood boil!

By now you know that the liberal media isn't interested in exposing the true reality of what is happening at our borders.

Once again, it is up to you and me of this country--average citizens who want their land, homes, and country safe from invasion to take a stand and get the truth out to a nation that is being deceived by the media and our leadership!

If we can't count on the media and our leadership for the facts, then we must look to friends like Chris Burgard, who risked his life and is now bringing the horrifying truth about our borders to light.

Good post Mater. One of the reasons stated by the politicians for dragging their a$$e$, is that it would be inhumane to send all of the law-breakers home. I just saw a figure in the Sentinel today that suggested if you and a spouse retired today, you would need to have approximately $225,000.00 to supliment insurance and Medicade for your health needs until you passed. How are OUR fine representatives planning on paying the tab for the needs of all the illegals who because of a lack of education, skills, or language abilities going to be sub-standard wage earners ? It would be more HUMANE to force the Mexican goverment and wealthy to addopt the policies of an honest and reputable goverment. That would spur economic developement and jobs there. Needless to say it would certainly be more HUMANE to the American taxpayers who at some point in their lives should be allowed some time for a retirement and an opportunity to relax and enjoy life !

Thanks Meb!

Does anyone really think any of this matter's any more to them, if it ever did (which I drought), they sure have a strange way of showing it...But of course NOT, because they don't have to go! If only our government and the politicians have been pulling each others thumbs out of their butts, this country wouldn't have become more venerable! How Loyal is that to the American People? Who's running who again??? But of course who would take any kind of blame???

Mater, I'd reached the conclussion a long time ago that most people fall into two categories. Those that follow the same path and leader every day in the same manner as dairy cows. Then there's the second group that have a bit more strenous lifestyle, though they follow the same path everyday, with the blinders on, they are steered by someone at the reins. This group's manner is much like that of the draft horse. There is a third group, though it seems to gets smaller every day. They are highly intellegent, independent thinkers, self sufficient, hardworking, but an endangered species. This group s manner is much like an eagles, but more and more people try and shoot them down when they soar ! Seems more and more want to steal their keep ! If ever the day comes when I feel the need for a truly defiant act, I won't be the mouse flippin the hawk the finger !

They are slowly taking everything including the people's rights and control standards away bit by bit and people have really become dumb, like you said...a herd of cows being lead into slaughter!
