Having just arrived back from visiting our neighbors to the North (um, Vancouver, to be specific) it was put to me in no uncertain terms that Barack Obama is favored to lead the United States by an overwhelming 75% of said Canadiens. This is an interesting factiod. Just as Europeans favor Obama by similar margins, will the typical U.S. voter follow the international trend? LOL!

My best guess is clearly "no" at this point. Neither candidate has taken an obvious advantage in the many polls available at "RealClearPolitics.com" and that tells me the average U.S. voter is still in an evaluation stage. Either Obama begins to "transcend" his messianic "change" message, or McCain overcomes his age.

Obama can do so if he has the lack of character found in countless politicians before him, proven by choosing his adversary Hillary Clinton as his VP candidate. John McCain has a decidedly different path: pick a robust and youthful (err...relatively so...) running mate for VP.

Between the two, I am betting McCain makes the better selection, but I still can't find better than 50% for either candidate in November...Hold on to your hats, this ride is gonna be harrowing - at best!

They let you in again, you NEOCON, a war monger.
Also, why the hell are you constantly bad mouthing about Europe and Canada?? This makes you a hypocrite since you love to do business and visit these countries regularly. Canada should ban you as well. And you know what...rather than being on a side line and sending my brothers and sisters to war, you go fight since you are so inclined to invade third world countries.

Gurkette, they finally allowed you to come off your suspension?

Glad to have your positivity back.

Marks, Vancouver is a nice place to visit, but...well, you know the rest.

Looks like McCain has taken a lead in the polls.

I'll pick McCain by a field goal...after all he's half Democrat.

That is because the rest of the world does not share our views in race. I truly feel that if Obama was a Bob Smith white man he would lead McCain by 35 points.
There are a lot of whiter people who are barely making it under republican run but will find ever excuse they can to not vote for a black man. What I don’t understand is how the color of a mans skin will make some people signup for more hard times just so they don’t have to vote for a person of color. It is very sad that we as the land of the free have such hang-ups and other country who are not as grate as the United States more advanced social then us. People in other countries are tired of dealing with old mean white men.

Hard times? You wouldn't know hard times if they ever came to our shore.

You want to really know what hard times are? I'll tell you. Try lining up in the monsoon rains for 2 freakin' hours so you can get enough government rice to feed you family for the day.

Then, IF you are lucky enough to get it, pray hard for a lizard or a fish to mix with it. Yeah, and when you're done with your bountiful meal, why not stroll down to the barangay to see if maybe, by some stroke of luck, someone needs a worker for the day at a whopping total of $1. That's where my land is in the Philippines. Try dying because you can't afford a damned asthma inhaler for $2.

You blathering crybabies irk me to no end with your puny, incessant whining. So shut the hell up, GOP, you don't know what the hell you're talking about, you spolied brat.

BTW formerGOP

B Hussein Obama is getting 90% of the black vote.

Maybe you should be chastising the blacks for their blatant vote based on skin color.

fgop, if they had a lick of sense they wouldn't vote for either candidate. BO is as big a farce as JM. They have already told us they will sell this country to the highest bidder. There are some ignorant idiots around that would use race to not vote for him, but not near as many ignorant idiots as there are that are voting for him because of his race.

Informed intelligent people won't be voting for either of the communist bastards!

Also, remember BO is the one running an ad trying to convince the idiots that raising the price of gas will be beneficial for drivers.

This pretty much sums up my opinion of B.O.

Graywolf, nice to see you back. Of course you're right about the candidates. Our choices are pitiful. It's very sad.

We're not there yet, Graywolf. Mama is planning on November after we shoot this next movie.

What part of Florida? I lived in Tampa, W Palm Beach, Daytona, Cocoa Beach and Orlando during many years there.

Florida? Wow, GW. I knew you were looking for work, but that is a fair ways away...

Good luck there!

The Mrs got a promotion and relocation, so I gave up the job I was in for 6 mo and moved to St Cloud. Now looking for something around Orlando.

We've had pretty good luck selling the house there. Now, if I could figure out how to transfer that luck to finding a job...
