I don't want to cause any exudus, but given that I inhabit this realm, it appears i have been infected by a computer virus. It might have been any number of news sites I visit, but the only one I visit which has individual and anonymous input is this one. Be careful clicking on links and make sure your firewall and antivirus software is up to date.

Update: Apparently it was one of those types that pops up with a very valid-looking warning message and gets you to do something. It was relatively benign, but I'm scrubbing my hard-drive anyway.

mmmmmm, if anyone would ever get a virus from someone in here you would think it would be me, lol I have ever gotten one yet.

Marks, how could anyone have given a virus on here? was it from a link? dang, that sucks. hope you got rid of it. and whoever did it should be banned from here

Someone gave you a virus from here, Marky? Are you sure? If it was a link, more than just you got it.

Good luck getting rid of it! I'm with TM. Whoever did that needs to be banned from here. That really sucks...

Mark, I just read an article on the the main news page that if you have 'gadgets' from sites like Google, hackers are targeting them. Could this be the source? Might want to check out the news here on Fox.

Ah well, it is always dicey when choosing who you blame something on. Heck, it could have been anyone, or as NTX notes, I might have "Googled" my way into it...

Be careful with your email til you get this fixed. Some virus' can send that BLEEP to everyone in your address book.
And yes, he could have gotten it thru a website. Some are embedded with javascripts that will fry your hard drive or allow them to 'see' and use your computer to hack into others and make it show it came from you,
just by going to their website.
