So apparently there are OTHER weather people but why are they in MY article in LA Weekly??

 Well, I uh...geez...um...I just presumed that  I would be the ONLY one featured, but okay....I share the ink (to say the least) with a few others.

I'll bet Elita Loresca is writing the same thing on her blog over at KNBC.

She's probably thinking, who the hell is this Thompson guy?

I saw Elita on the cover and figured it was a feature on "SoCal weather babes." So you can understand my disappointment when I flipped through expecting to see Maria Quiban or Amy Murphy as the FOX representative, and then Thompson's mug pops up.

Yeah, no kidding. Gimme Jackie Johnson, Elita, Quiban, Murphy and even Liz doing the weather over the "Dancing Machine." What a letdown.

i like the dancing machine. but really mark should really take out the competition, and with a vengence. yeah mark, go all out matrix style with a 12 gauge under your coat and blow the competition away. get all mob style on them. let them know that their is only one weather man in cali and his name is mark thompson.

You have assembled the best team here at Fox 11 & My13 news! You, Rick, Jillian, Maria, and Amy are the team to beat! Don't worry about LA Weekly. Their sister publication OC Weekly has done some smear campaigns in the past, so I don't think highly of them. The Fox 11 team rocks!

Markie dude, deal with it or forget it, the latter being my solemn advice. Honestly it isn't worth even blogging over because it is insignificant. The first thing my friend is that you need to ignore it, the second is remember your place, you have got it better than a helluva lot of people, so enjoy, enjoy and concentrate on having fun, living life and not worrying about this. It has come, and is gone in the blink of an eye, but life my friend is not. Live and enjoy it and screw what some article has posted in a magazine that won't even gross any sales. Life is too grand to fret over this...best damned advice anyone will honestly ever give ya...live life for you!

Actually maybe Mark if you did the weatehr on GDLA we would be much better off, than you can frolic with the girls. I mean if the misses isn't too hard on you, those TV girls for Mark Thompson, the dance, the voice, the man!!! I say go Mark, go! Be wild and enjoy...

i like the way you give those weather reports. straight, clear, (with that voice), concise, and to the point. great energy, ethos and no vocal pauses.

please ponder the possibility of incorporating subliminal messaging in your broadcast.

something like those old campari ads. if you stare at the ice cubes they become breassts.

steve edwards gets the hankering every now and then. dorothy does it all the time with her boyfriends. jillian only does it with one person.
