I am so tired of so many people comparing Hilary Clinton and Obama as female and black, and this really seems to be the big focus on these candidates.

Do you really think voter’s main influence on who they vote for will be because they are female or black??

Why should this be so important? I care about what the candidate stands for and what their Presidential plan is.... not what sex they are or race.

Unfortunately I think that voters will be to influenced on voting for a female or a black person, and not really knowing what they truly stand for, and what path they want our country to take.

What do you think?

Your right we should not focus on sex nor race but on the fact that both of those candidates SUCK! And they will bring America to her knees if they get their sorry a-s into office. God help us all if they do.

It shouldn't be...but it is... Some women will vote for Hillary because she is a woman...and some blacks will vote for Obama because he is black.

Was listening to a radio show the other day where they were asking women who they would vote for...the majority said Hillary. When asked why..they overwheling said "because she is a woman". They could not name one accomplishment of her...just that she was a woman.

lol well I just think it's so stupid that all these people are focusing on the sex and race of them and that's primary all, and I am hearing this from just random people I run into through out the day, and of course you see and hear it in the media as well.

Yes I do agree if either one of them win the election we are in great trouble. Just the thought of it scares me!

I also do think, and pretty much know they are useing this to there advantage to win voter's and popularity.

I wish they would both disapear... it makes me want to vommit thinking I have to hear about them and see them for over a year ahhhhhh

Who want's to go live on a remote tropical island with me for a while lol

unfortunately I think there are far too many shallow voters out there who WILL vote based on sex and race. They pay no attention to qualifications or issues, only appearance and emotion.

How about how much they paid for a haircut? It is difficult to find a discussion or even criticisms that are based on issues. When people run out of a defense, they will attack using whatever means necessary to WIN. And then they pretend to want elected officials with integrity.

I think most blacks will vote for Obama simply because he is black. And many women will vote for Hillary simply because she is a woman. (except black women, who will vote for Obama)
It is a travesty of the worst kind.

In my opinion, the 2008 presidential election will be the most important election our country will face to date, and to even think someone will vote for a candidate because they are black or a women and are not educated or doesn't care about what this candidate stands for is SCARY!!!

I agree Mark, this is indeed the most important election in MY lifetime, even greater than the Carter/Reagan election.
This country is at a very dangerous crossroad, and if we are not on the right road, it will lead to the destruction of everything we hold dear.

"I think most blacks will vote for Obama simply because he is black."

This is actually contrary to what I've heard on the news and read in the papers. Many blacks have stated that they will *not* vote for Obama because he is black, strange as that may sound. A couple of reasons behind this is:

1. They claim he isn't "black enough". Or....

2. They feel that "white America" isn't ready for a black president yet, so they don't want to back a losing candidate. Some have claimed that Hillary (shudder) has a better chance of their votes.

I kind of liked Obama, just a little, until he started cozying up with Al Sharpton and his ilk. The more I learn about him, the less I like him. If it came down between him and Hillary, however, I'd still rather pick him. Hell, I'll vote for ANYONE over Hillary. I have no problems with a female president (or a black one, for that matter), just not THAT one.

Still crying, Does it make an F-ing difference between the two? I don't think so. OMG, please pick someone, other than these two. Maybe I should vote, but I'm affraid of who to pick. What a dumb---. Ha Ha, can't vote anyway. Not registered. Of course in this election, ? does it matter, since you don't have to have ID?

I just love it when I hear people "bash Bush" and I ask them... so did you vote? Most of the time they say no! If you don't vote then don't complain!

I am voting for Freshhorse. Out of the choices from the Idiot pool??? I have no respect for Hillary, John Edwards is on the verge of being as vain as Paris Hilton, and I am concerned about his wifes condition. If it takes a turn for the worse how effective can he be as a leader? Obama???? I don't know. Thank God I don't have to make that choice.

Jfore is right
"unfortunately I think there are far too many shallow voters out there who WILL vote based on sex and race. They pay no attention to qualifications or issues, only appearance and emotion."

They will also vote based on religious affiliation.

Yes you are for the most part correct, and those items are not something voters need to focus on with this election.
