Saw the reunion concert of THE POLICE in Las Vegas this past weekend. So much fun! Here is the set list.

Message In A Bottle
Synchronicity II
Don't Stand So Close to Me
Voices Inside My Head
When The World Is Running Down
Spirits In The Material World
Driven To Tears
Walking On The Moon
Truth Hits Everybody
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
Wrapped Around Your Finger
The Bed's Too Big Without You
De Do Do Do De Da Da Da
Invisible Sun
Walking in Your Footsteps
Can't Stand Losing You
Roxanne
King Of Pain
So Lonely
Every Breath You Take
Next To You

I was disappointed they didn't play "tea in the sahara'. That's one of my favorites.

A tip: don't leave right away...as they do come back out again and again. I thought it was over after 'every breath you take'......but they came back out again!

Details: Stage was on the boring side. It was definitely not like the U2 stage in Vegas (which was the last concert I saw at the MGM)... I know I shouldn't compare but the stage was not as dynamic. They stayed in the same spots for most of the concert. There were huge Plasma Monitors up top...picture quality was very very clear! That was great, as we could see them all perfectly. There were some nice lights....smoke etc.

Stingo sounded fantastic...looked hot. I think he should have talked to us a little more though. Stewart was awesome! Truly one of the best musicians ever! Incredible on the drums. Andy completed the trio ripping on the guitar.

I think you'll enjoy it! They'll probably loosen up even more here in L.A.

Vegas was fun. Played some slots. Unfortunately, no jackpot. I'm done with the quarter machines. Picking up blackjack for next time!

Police is playing here in SoCal this week, have if you go.

The fade to black in mid action was drama at it's best. David Chase is brilliant.

I particularly liked that he chose to fade to black right as Meadow was about to enter the restaurant and Tony looked up. As I Tivo'd back...his expression didn't indicate whether he saw her...in fact he didn't give away anything. What happened next is obviously up for interpretation. Considering all the players that were in the diner....anyone or none of them could have whacked the family or taken them into custody. It was such an uncomfortable moment.

The moment reminded me of seeing a great painting, a sculpture, or hearing a new song. At first...maybe you're not quite sure what to make of it. You're angry(for wasting your time), amused, sad, disgusted....but later...you see something else. You then begin to appreciate it. You appreciate the artist for giving YOU the power to decide.

Sometimes I think the Sopranos all lived, continued their lives as a suburban, dysfunctional family. And then, sometimes...I think they were shot down. Executed much like Scorsese's Goodfellas or the Godfather.

What did you decide?
