If you are of African heritage and;
*You believe racial profiling is a very serious issue
*You feel that tower cities ban on young people is wrong
*Think you deserve your own history month
*Feel that having ebonics recognized as a language is a good thing
*Or you automatically assume a person of European heritage is racist.
Please continue.
If you are of European heritage and;
*You believe people of another heritage are "taking over"
*Make an assumption, due solely to decent, that an individual is going to do you harm
*Believe that your heritage is better than another
*Think that another is going to play the "race card" and for it to have an effect on an outcome these day
*Resent another heritage because you think that gives them an advantage these days
Please continue.
These are very short lists for the current things I hear and read, but hopefully are enough to make my point . Nor is this a definitive list. It should be thoughtfully expanded to include your particular heritage, its similar views about itself or other backgrounds..
Now if any of what was said applies to you:
1 Grab a razer in your dominate hand.
2 Hold your other hand partially extended, palm up.
3 Remember to cut down the highway, not across.
If you happen to bleed anything but red please reply and I will listen and preach why you are different and should be treated differently and allowed to treat others differently. Good hopefully that will take care of people that think they are owed something for something that happened in their "culture's" past. Now the rest of us can get on with reaping what we have sown in our lifetime.
I heard about this story back in June-July of this year...and it has never been far from my mind.
I hear something about it finally, after months of wondering what will happen to Bobby Cutts, Jr and Myisha Ferrell. Cutts trial isn't until Feb. 2008 but here is the news on Ferrell's case if you dont already know:
The woman charged in the Jessie Davis case pleaded guilty Monday morning to two counts. As part of the plea deal, Myisha Ferrell agrees to
testify against Bobby Cutts Jr. -- the Canton police officer accused in
the killing -- and she was sentenced to two years in jail. She will be
eligible for judicial release after one year.
There is a poll on the news story's page asking if "two years is enough jail time for Myisha Ferrell?"
The results of the poll so far are as follows:
Yes : 11.55%
No : 88.45%
Now, I always try to keep an open mind, but my girlfriend on the other hand automatically says, "that is BLEEP....she should have got more time."
I still haven't heard why Myisha helped him. In fact, I haven't heard anybody's side of things except for what the news can tell you....and they never make ppl out to be the "good guys" on anything.... BUT I feel that depending on how important her testimony is to the prosecution in this case...what if Ferrell can really shed light on what happened to Jessie Davis.....maybe she did get the sentence she deserved...
Please respond and let me know if anyone feels the same.
