hey palin has run a goverment obamma has not and mc cain has shown more class than obamma could muster in a life time hey they had a lot of votes with hilary but obamma didnt need them now palin can go after all 8 million i know shes already got quite a few and last friday palin raised 4 million dollars in one day

LQQKING, I know this is off topic, but is there any more news on the Great Louisiana Stampede ? I was curious if there were more conservatives or liberals, who take more liberties with the law, making the mad dash for the hills.

The Stafford Act of 1968 clearly defines the role of the Federal Government as a SUPPORTER in relief efforts with regard to domestic disasters..
The Primary RESPONSIBILITY for these efforts remains in the hands of the State and Local Governments.
It was evident from the initial announcement of the possible path of Gustav hitting New Orleans that a Certain element of the Democrat establishment,, AND the MSM,, took the news with a certain degree of joy as they foresaw a re-enactment of Katrina..WHAT a GIFT from Heaven..NOT only does this happen as the RNC convention is about to begin but also MERE months before the election..WHAT an Opportunity to “Bork” the Republicans..

Well,,The Initial “Dancing in the Streets” is over as a more sober reality sets in..NOW we are beginning to see CONCERN on the SAME faces wgere ONCE we saw only grins..

Louisiana is NO longer ruled by a Governor suffering from “Denial” as disaster looms on the horizen..
Instead,,they have a Republican Governor who’s ALREADY gone a LONG way towards cleaning up Louisiana Politics and has already set in motion efforts to AVOID the Katrina events that the Democrats and the MSM exploited so ruthlessly..

The RNC,,FAR from Whining as the other side would have done ( AND did AFTER Katrina ) ,, Filing Lawsuits against GOD for his interferrence in Democrat affairs by disrupting their Convention and bringing the whole thing to the Supreme Court,, instead are USING the Convention as a means to garner RELIEF efforts and supplies for the coming disaster..

....excellent description of Democrats Hawk ! They do take a very “dark” and disgusting view of human suffering...and seek to exploit it for political gain at every opportunity.
Just look to the “players” on TV in this “Game” (Obama's description of serious matters not mine!) , on the right all our representatives are asking “how can we help” and on the left all the elected reps are asking “how can we blame this on conservatives and get some more hate based votes for us”

...So Obama's very first criticism of Patin is that she is consistent with John McCain, so this tells me that he is upset that he chose a man who in every possible way is different from him just to get votes ! I so no problem with a Real American hero Picking a real woman who is also a Real American! So Obama has already conceded that if John where to have a medical problem the nation would not face any big shack up at the top. Perhaps he should have stayed “true” to his core values and not played political games with his VP pick !
