It's all over the news , horrific ! An american citizen that was picked up on a misdemeanor , (not to mention handicapped ) told the immigration officers he was an American citizen and still he was deported to Mexico !  Was his skin not the right shade ? This really upsets me . It could happen to anybody ! It's against the law ! So , what is your opinion ?

LW, you're not going to be silly and play The Race Card, are you? Race is sooooooooooooo irrelevnt any more. I don't know what all of the facts are at the moment, I'm sure more info will be released to the public.

I'd be more interested in what your resolution should be to this case.

I don't think it really matters about the skin shade anymore. I believe the eyes of our borders are blind and don't care. It takes more effort to investigate. Heaven forbid if an official takes that extra step to confirm a person's citizenship. Officials have absolutely no regard for people unless they run for office. The they are the voice of the people. Funny story..my mother and I and 3 of my auties use to drive to Rosarita beach for a weekend trip once a year. The first time I was crossing the border to come back in the US I was offended because I was automatically waved in vs being asked about my citizenship. I am a very proud American Hispanic..but for those immigrants that want to come and become American citizens, then they should know by doing this, that it would be America all the way! Please read the speech of one of our greatest Presidents:

Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN

Are we "SLOW LEARNERS" or what?

Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN

"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American fla

yeah, that sucks. But, I agree with DfD, lets get the whole story first. If a mistake was made, then a humble apology is in order to say the least.

here's a solution lets deport everyone in this state then find out who's a citizen and who's not..maybe then we can get back to the way California was with aerospace industry and technology ..not just a bunch of fast food places with people who cant even get an order right..the biggest industry now is the prison system..how the hell did we allow this..800 thousand for a house in reseda give me a break ..who is buying this crap ..sure the weather is nice but that's where it ends..as a minority now thanks to illegal immigrants and a p*ssy government and the catholic church who welcomes ilegales ..i wonder if cardinal mahoney would care if all those people crossing the border were Jewish or protestant or Muslim..it all comes down to one thing money..politicians gotta look like they are doing their job..its like the 98%pay back on a slot machine you put in 3 get back 2 even if its a loss..its a payback so its not a lie ..the race card dose not apply when it comes to Latinos your the majority now ..hows it feel?

So no outrage when extrodinary rendition happens to someone from a foriegn country like Germany or the UK but outrage when it happens to Americans?

Lulz, Americans are superior.

Everyone should cary two forms of identification at all time, that might help people prevent from being deported. Besides, when a person is incarcerated the officer have you fill up some kind of papers to find out about your information stating, "Where you from, your name, address, age, immediate family info, What kind of tattoo (and where in your body), what kind a hairstyle, what gang you belong to, Who do you want to run with in prison or county, what nationality, Naturilization info, and the list goes on. No one is locked up in jail or/and prison without the facility having your information. They take this information seriously. Now if you're Mexican, but was born in United State, and was asked what kind of nationality, I suggest you answer "American, American Hispanic/Mexican, or Hispanic/Mexican American". If I was the correctional officer and about to release an inmate who doesn't have any proof of identification and wrote down that his Mexican on his natiionality, I would have sent him to mexico either, unless he spokes up and claimed to be born here, then I would do the best on my ability to help him be release to his hometown here in US.

I was incarcerated with a person once, who wrote down his whole information, but refused to put down his name, so inside he was known as John Doe. I didn't even know an inmate could do that, my point is whatever information an inmate wrote down, thats who that person is...

Please don't comment me on grammar and bad spelling...

Where were his parents and other family members when he was being released from jail?

Surely they were aware when he would be released?

Good Thursday morning ! This man did tell them that he was an american citizen , over and over . He is handicapped ; and regardless why couldn't someone take an extra minute to confirm his citizenship. We just can't start deporting people left and right . We are a beautiful free country , I don't agree that we should have to carry all sorts of proof of citizenship !We cannot be judged by the color of our skin . Come on now !

Handicapped? How so?

Government incompetence? We could go on all day about that. Maybe here as well.
We deport people north, south, east, and west.
Free country? I have to stop at red lights.
All sorts? How many should we carry?
That silly RACE CARD again!!! Sure loser!

Above questions are still on the table and need to be answered, NOT with hysterical ranting. Come on now!

We only have your word for this. There are two sides to every story. I highly doubt that he was an American citizen if he was forceably deported.

Regardless, we have all these morons running around claiming to be "Mexican", even though they were born in the USA. "Mexican" is a nationality. If you're "Mexican", you're a citizen of the country of Mexico.

CS,

By all accounts, the guy is an American citizen. However, appears to be much much more to this story.

Is your pic representative of your text?

Elaborate please.

Does anyone have a link to a story about this?

Does my pic represent my text? I'd answer that if I had an idea what it means.

By the way, I said "forceably" deported. When a person claims to be an American citizen, ICE has a verification process. The only way I know of for a citizen to be accidently deported is if they volunteer to go.

PRECISELY!!!! That is being debated in spite of the blogger's demagoguery. Stay Tuned!!

AHA! The other side of the story, as I expected:

"Guzman told them he was an illegal immigrant, and gave media voluntary deportation papers allegedly signed by Guzman."

We will have to see what happens with this story . This man was wrongfully deported . It was a mistake that I for one would not want to be put through. He was left in Tijuana, Mexico ,he lived on the streets eating out of trash cans for one full week ! Com. Sense; forceably ? What was he suppose to do fight them and get beat up ?! He had a childs brain capacity . Regardless , his legal status should have been verified !!!!

The man claimed to be an illegal alien, and he signed voluntary deportation papers. There's nothing "wrongful" about it. Only the pro-illegal leftists are trying to make this into something it's not.

Are you an American or a Mexican? If you're an American, perhaps you should consider taking America's side instead of the side of mojados.
