this whole great divide between the Packers and Brett Favre this month..even this season.

Let's look 20 to 30 years from now.

I have been to a few events with Bart Starr and his wife, Cherry. They are such gracious, classy representatives of the Green Bay Packers and the memories so many people have of his career.

The "hurt feelings" now will continue for years to come.

Bart and Cherry Starr come from Alabama to help people here in Wisconsin quite a bit.

And while Brett and Deanna have been terrific about their charity work here too, I can't visualize them in their 60's flying from Mississippi to revisit the "Glory Days" that ended so sadly.

Another case of Wisconsin lacking common sense and any form of grace.

Too bad he left on a bad note.

Good thing is time heals ALL wounds.

That's what i believe time was truly & spiritually created for. We look back years from now and mostly remember what was good.....and how much time we wasted on being bitter.---Peace

The Packers organization took down the "Thanks For The Memories" banner in Lambeau's entrance.
Does that mean they do not thank him for the memories?
They got what they wanted. Why the childish reaction?
There are hurt feelings right now. Brett and Deanna know the fans love them and thank them. I hope that's enough to bring them back for a visit.

I absolutely, positively agree with you 100%. One of the things I admire most about Brett and Bart is their devotion to charity. Bart, especially, in his involvement with the Lombardi Classic in the Falls and Brett with Make A Wish.

Based on my work with Make a Wish, I know that Brett meets with wish kids at least 12 to 14 times a year. Much of this work is done behind the scenes (apart from any media attention). These were not photo-ops for Brett. He spent a SIGNIFICANT amount of time with every Wish kid he came into contact with and they became a part of Brett and Deanna's extended family. Brett regularly keeps in contact with them. He will be sorely missed, I believe, as much for his work on the field as he and his wife contributed off the field. I don't know if Brett will continue his charity work in Wisconsin. I sincerely hope he does, because there is a definite void he leaves that many people may not be aware of.
