My brother and I grew up watching "Happy Days" and like kids will often do, we fought a lot.

One day he got the best of me and had me down on the ground with his knees on my arms. He started a long string of spit dangling down at my face.

I screamed,"If you let that go, I will call you Ralph Mouth for the rest of your life."

He did and so have I.

You've seen all the super-duper-aero-dynamic clothes the athletes are wearing to make them faster.

So why in the track and field events are they still wearing numbers fastened with safety pins. The numbers on their legs are glued on somehow, but the ones on their chest and backs are still flapping in the wind.

Doesn't make sense.

Maybe it's because I grew up in California, but I had never heard of a Golden Birthday before.

Just curious to see if you know what it is.  If you don't, I'm sure someone will share.

Since he's been old enough to say the names of our family and friends, we've been doing what we called, "Thank you Lord" with our son.

Teaching him to say "prayers" is in the works.

Either way, every night we ask him what he's thankful for and it's interesting what he chooses. Usually it begins with Mommy and Daddy. Always a good and wise choice.

But yesterday we had a wonderful day out on Pike Lake with our friends and 9 kids. We skipped his nap so we could take him on his first boat ride. We then came back so he could play in a Jumpy House, eat roasted corn and run up and down a hill chasing bubbles.

It was a blast . So we were eager to see what he would say that night. He started the same,  "Mommy, Daddy, " he paused looked at us and then said, "bed."

We laughed. Good choice, buddy.

this whole great divide between the Packers and Brett Favre this month..even this season.

Let's look 20 to 30 years from now.

I have been to a few events with Bart Starr and his wife, Cherry. They are such gracious, classy representatives of the Green Bay Packers and the memories so many people have of his career.

The "hurt feelings" now will continue for years to come.

Bart and Cherry Starr come from Alabama to help people here in Wisconsin quite a bit.

And while Brett and Deanna have been terrific about their charity work here too, I can't visualize them in their 60's flying from Mississippi to revisit the "Glory Days" that ended so sadly.

Here's the story:

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.

He was so consumed by the spirit of god that he fell and hit his head while worshipping.

Now a Tennessee man is suing his church for $2 point 5 million dollars for medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering.

The 57-year-old says he was asking God to have "a real experience" while praying.

He has fallen from the force of the spirit before --- but has always been caught by someone.

Lawyers for the church say other members saw him on the floor and starting laughing after his fall.

They say he failed to look out for his own safety.

Here's a twist--Contact 6 needs your help.

Okay maybe not Contact 6, but I need you or someone you may know who took a picture of me and my son during the Holidaze Parade in Grafton on Sunday July 6th.

I can't believe I didn't bring a camera. His first real parade where he was able to say "Hey everybody...Go Brewers..and Happy 4th," while waving an American flag. And his mom missed it.

Now what will he do if he runs for President someday and doesn't have that picture for his campaign commercial?

kidding:) Let me know..I would really appreciate it.

I heard a DJ say today something like, "Summerfest is filled with women wearing sunglasses like his mom had in the 1970's. You know, like the old lady on the Old Navy ads."

My ears perked up because my eyes just got a pair.

Nicole Koglin (who I think is a fashionista) has a pair.  So when my smaller, frosted, four year old Ray-Bans broke, I hightailed it over to Marshall's and bought a pair.

What do you think?

My husband laughed. But I think they save money on sunscreen because they cover most of your face. :)

I went out swinging way too many Thursday at Brown Deer Golf Course but it was a beautiful day and it was for a good cause.

The event benefitting First Tee Milwaukee County, dedicated to getting girls and boys involved in golf from a young age to teach values and responsibility. (www.thefirsttee.org)

For many kids it's free or at most $40 dollars for the program. Check it out!

Nothing against the '50s, but what's up with our government?

Here's the story:

"While some folks wait patiently for their stimulus check-- other people are getting two!The IRS says it accidentally doubled up checks to about fifteen-hundred people.

If you got that extra check-- don't cash it.

The Feds say you should write "void" on the back of the check-- and mail it back to the IRS with a note.  If a second stimulus check was deposited electronically-- contact your bank."

This is what I think:

Write void and send the check and a little note back to the government! Give me a break. What should the note say, "Thanks for getting me excited and then dashing my hopes by making me spend 42 cents more to send you this note to say, you screwed up."

They should put stop payments on those checks--jump into the electronic world of 2008.

While 1500 people isn't a huge mistake given our population, they should know who double-dipped. My fear is--they don't know.
