This Sunday, I will be turning (fill in the blank) years old. Ahem. A lady never reveals her age, Dahling! I am sure you can ballpark my age. It's not that I'm ashamed, I think getting older is just a weird time warp kind of thing. I mean, physically, I haven't changed that much, my face is the same, me body....Ok, ok. I confess, I've been giving some of my erm, shrunken clothing to Michelle Williams. I'll blame that on the quitting smoking. yah!! That's it!

The other thing I've noticed lately, is the surveys. You know, you get these online surveys or you register online for a website, you get to that section where it asks you, are you:

a) 18-24 b) 25-30 c) 31-35 d) 36-40 e) 41-45 f) 50-55

That annoys me!! It annoys me because I've reached a new age bracket!!! GAHHHH!!! So, what annoys you about getting older. Hey, no obvious answers, that's a cop out!

Grey hair, and making the noises that my grandfather used to make. And I'm only 37 (38 in July)

so you're 25 now?

:)

I like getting older.
I can start blaming the silly things I do on old age instead of youthful ignorance!

Oppawhat

The "Beer Belly" that started to develope in the late 20's has a new name in the 30's. I call it a "Spare Tire"(around my waist). For what started as the size for a Toyota Corolla, is now starting to look like a size for a Toyota Camry. Oh man, dreading on what it's going to become. BUT! That doesn't bother me as much as feeling it when I tie my shoe laces, that's the depressing part. :(

Hey guys!

Thanks for the happy wishes :) It really isn't bad at all. Heck, I've been 29 for the past 2 years now!! Being 29 again and again is GREAT!!!!

Dewey, As for blaming old age instead of youthful ignorance -- men have it way to easy. They can blame everything on the fact that they're a man!!

Ms. Pacman it is Michelle!!! Gonna beat you wocka wocka!!

Oppa, you have 2 kids and you go downhill :p

Oh one more annoying thing about getting older. You start working with people from a different generation and they don't know what you are talking about when you make references to A-TEAM, CHiPs, Molly Ringwald. They don't know who Kojak is and essentially, they have missed the best generation of music and movies
of all time - the 80s!!!

Pop Quiz. Who is Scritti Politti and what song did they sing? DOn't cheat!!

RE: Working with the younger generation, and the lost in translations.

I have a REALLY OLD tv at work, and one day I was adjusting the .... wait for it.... wait for it.... RABBIT EARS.(gasp)

One of the kids looked at me, back at the tv, and at me again, then asked me with all seriousness "What are those things" I replied "Rabbit ears" to which he asked
"what are they used for"
Forgot to mention the tin foil connector between the prods.

I'm feeling old now, think I'll grab a Fresca, open a Moon Pie, and pull out my pack of Blackjack chewing gum.

Does this make anybody else feel really old?

I'm a woman and I can understand staying the same age for 2 or three years or maybe even 5 years. It's fun because you get a chance to tell people that you are much younger than you really are, and they believe you. It's great!

I agree Barbara :)

I got carded the other day going into North Bowl to play Ms. Pacman. I started laughing and said, are you serious?

Another sign of the times, I used to always be in a huff when I went into bars as a college student because I looked like a 12 year old. Now it's a compliment :)

Thanks for all the well wishes :) I had a great birthday which involved a large chocolate cake with those trick candles.
