Ok. I'm going to be a sentimental cheese for a second. It happens so rarely but this is a special occasion. This Thanksgiving is the FIRST Thanksgiving I will have EVER celebrated on the actual day. Usually because of work, trying to get to family, Thanksgiving falls on Saturdays or Sundays. Not this year!!!

So I am thankful for that. I am thankful that my family is healthy. I am thankful for my big goofball dog who managed to steal a KitKat bar from my bag this morning and eat it -- so I am extra thankul that he's not sick again. I am thankful to the people I meet on the street who make me feel good about my job. I am thankful to the man at the bank who gives biscuits to Charlie, I am thankful to the men and women who serve our country and who will be missing out on their family gatherings.

I am thankful to my good friends who have supported me through the years. Philadelphia is a special place for me because I am back. 5 years ago I was working at my first on air job, making 13 thousand dollars a year and trying desperately to make ends meet. My friends in Philly paid for me and flew me here and took me to Bistro St. Tropez for a filet mignon. I licked my plate.

What else, guys? There's just so much, it's time to sit back and appreciate it all. So tell me something good.

Speakin' of critters, I've been away for a few days, how's Charlie doing?

I am thankful for life. Thankful for the good, bad, right and wrong(because you can't have one without the other). Thankfully, I can choose one and hopefully make adjustments if there is a better choice.

A sentimental cheese ? That's better than being a limburger cheese !

Sounds like you have nice friends.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and friends, Julie !

Honestly, I don't think Charlie was sick, I think he was still mad that you turned him into Dogzilla.

NEVER underestimate the grudgery of a dog or cat. Elephants ain't the only ones who never forget.

I also am thankful for my family, my daughter in particular, and my friends.
I am thankful for all of the furry, fuzzy kitties that have come and gone in my life.
I am thankful that I have a job that I enjoy
(most of the time!) and, lastly am thankful that I've found a truly fantastic tattoo artist!!

well, I hope you all have had as hearty and wonderful T-day as I have. I must admit, had some serious travel rage going on Wednesday. Finished work, went to airport. Waited, flight cancelled because of fog in NY, cab to train station, train to NYC and on ward and so forth. Got to final destination and was in a bad state but some choco chip and wine helped out!

Newz, Charlie must have forgiven me by now for the dogzilla costume. Gave him turkey tonight!

A1jeepgurl, what are you gonna get tattooed?

BSG Razor -- whoohooo!!!

Ah, bought off with the old toikey trick. Clever!!

Dewey, did you do your prediction on scifi.com about the relationship between Cain and Gina yet?

I voted the lovers guess. Sorry, but I think that would be totally hot.

Thanks for your interest in my tattoo Julie. I am currently having work done on my left lower leg. My artist has designed something awesome with kanji symbols, calla lillies and water...............
Had 2 sessions already, and can't wait for my next, which is Wednesday!!

I survived my turkey day also, with wine and pie!

Newz, a dog is like a man. You win the love through his stomach. Of course the ole toikey trick worked.

hey jeepgurl, It sounds really cool. I have to say I have never had the guts to get something permanently inked on my body. If it's not too personal, what does the kanji mean?

Hey Julie.......my kanji is for "strength" and "daughter"..........................
the calla lillies honor my Mother, who carried them at her wedding.
My other tattoo (on my right forearm) also has kanji, meaning "no regrets" and a dove, to honor my Father, who recently passed.
A pic of that one is included in my blog photos, if you're interested!

Hey jeepgurl,

I checked out your tattoo. I think its beautiful. I feel that as long as they mean something, you can never be embarassed by what you ink on your body. It is against my religion to get inked but I have considered getting my mom's seal tattooed on my wrist. In homage to her and her incredible preserverence and endurance...although she probably wouldn't like it. :p

Oooooh, Julie, you rebel you!! lol

Took me a loooong time to finally get inked....
but I'm really glad I did.

You'll know what's "right" for you.
