Were police confused?  Did they think they had their suspect in the fatal shooting of a cop?

Dwayne Dyches' family and his attorney think police thought Dyches was Eric Floyd, the suspect they were looking for.

The arrest turned violent as police arrested three suspects; the arrest was caught by Sky Fox.

Here are the two side-by-side.  Do you think confusion is possible?

Floyd: Police shooting suspect

Dyches: Victim of alleged violent arrest

I see Al Sharpton is here to meet with the shooting suspect that was beaten. I didnt see Al stopping in Port Richmond or stopping to see the assasinated officers family or run in the race for the cure. OH thats right he only comes to town to start trouble. I could see if the city wasnt doing anything about this beating but they are and Al should stay home. By the way did these beating suspects have a licence to carry the guns they had with them. Maybe Al and his big mouth should go after the NRA and get them to give up on putting pressure on law makers to stop laws banning assault rifles.

Were these men stopped because of a violation originally, or did the police just decide to stop them for no reason? Did they have prior records?

I have trouble accepting the fact that they just tarted to beat these guys for no reason. I saw the video, but w something said that triggered this behavior? This looked like the California incident to a T.

In order to assess a situation properly, we need all the facts, not a thumbnail sketch.

I don't think, they are twins. But, viewing someone from a car going fast....it could be a mistake. They are similar.

They're going to try to bury this story. There are plenty of witnesses who will say this is a case of mistaken identity and those cops will all lie to keep their jobs.

I'm glad Al Sharpton is their and wonder why other of the old guard civil rights leaders aren't?

Now's it's all about shut up and get paid and that's how this problem will persist.

I know this first hand... I've seen it and been a victim of it.

There is no confusion. As a PPO we have studied this picture numerous times. We know there was no "mistaken identity"!

These 2 look nothing alike. That's a good pleas from you all trying to push something on the cops. There's a big brew about this because this topic fuels the race fire and gets people CRAZY -- look how many of us are blogging about it. The 3 guys will try to get a lawsuit, maybe they will, maybe they'll even get something out of it (I hope not). Unfortuneatly, these things will never go away. I just hope the cops in question stand tall and stand together -- don't let the media, attorneys, Al Sharpton or anyone else break them down. They're not the ones out there in the trenches, they just rush to these stories for a possible payoff -- like hookers!
Respectfully,

I apologize to all those hard working hookers out there -- you all work harder and are probably more honest than the media BLEEPS, Al Sharpton or the blood sucking criminal defense attorneys.
Respectfully,
