Hi Everyone,
It's time to fill out the bracket sheets--let the Madness begin. I'm curious how you fill out your brackets and if you have any secrets. I have to be honest, I spend some time studying the teams but it's only paid off once. The only time I won the contest is back in the 80's when I had Danny Manning and the Kansas Jayhawks beating Oklahoma for the NCAA title.
But we try, try, try again. First, congratulations to Villanova, Temple and St Joe's. I hope your stay at the dance is a long one. You all deserve a shot at the national title.
As for my picks, I usually go with a few upsets early, but stick with the big teams when it comes to the Final Four. They are seasoned teams, and I like teams that won their conference tournaments as a good bet to win the national title.
My Final Four: North Carolina, Kansas, Pittsburgh and UCLA. I'll then take UCLA to beat North Carolina for the national title.
My Upset team to watch: Davidson--I think they could win a couple of games in the early rounds.
Let me know what you think. Give me your final four and champion, and any Cinderellas along the way. Good Luck!!!
Hi Everyone,
I could use your help. I am an avid cyclist. For the past five years, I've been a member of Team in Training, the world's largest endurance training program. It is affiliated with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Over the last five years, I've completed four, 100 mile rides around Lake Tahoe, a 200 mile ride from Seattle to Portland, and a 300 mile ride from Cleveland to Cincinnati. All of these rides were fundraisers in the fight against cancer, with a lot of the money going to cancer research.
This year I would like to do another ride, but I must get moving on my training. Since moving here, my bike has been gathering dust in the house, just waiting for our next ride.
That's where you come in--I know there are plenty of bike trails and hot spots for cyclists in the Philadelphia area. I've heard it's one of the best, but I need some direction on finding them. Can you please let me know where the best spots are for a long ride? I appreciate all the help and would love to hear from cycling clubs and shops as well.
Thanks for all your help--see you on the road!
