Hey Blogger Buddies...
So sorry about the delay! I started a new job last week that had me COMPLETELY drained..I'm lucky I even stayed awake to watch AI!! I don't know how though, considering this was one of the more B-O-R-I-N-G Idol weeks ever!! Here's what I thought of San Diego..
There was a great start to the show with both Tatiana and Perry (who's son was just adorable). I think both may make it pretty far. I've heard some pretty bad rumors about Perry's criminal past though..Hmmm..another Corey Clark??
Michael Johns has a nice sound to his voice, but the runs are all over the place. He needs to just sing and what a great job controlling his accent!! Wow, Valerie Reyes...She had WAY TOO MUCH breathing going on..HaHa..
Monique was a complete mess!! From the clothes to the voice..oy! I thought Christopher was just as bad..I honestly think they may have been giving eachother vocal lessons..LOL..How about Samantha?!? The female equivalent of Elliott Yamin...white girl with SOUL!! She will definitely be in the bottom!!
I could not believe they told Blake no!! He so should have gotten the chance. Especially after seeing some of the ones they let in!! Alberto was a nut!! How do these people really think they can sing?? I don't get it!! How cute is David Archuleta?? I can't believe he's only 16!! I'm really hoping he can train and get better. If he does I see him in the bottom as well. Oh my goodness...I have my favorite..I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CARLY SMITHSON...she is my pick for the winner this season..I LOVE HER!! Her voice is friggin amazing! BLOWN AWAY!!
Unfortunately I didn't take notes for Charlotte, but very few stick out anyways. As far as the brother and sister combo go, granted they were both good..but I so preferred the sister!! They won't get that far anyway. The girl that Simon said her belt was too big, it's a shame I was pulling for her. She had talent..I think her boobs, rather her look got in the way. And then when she turned into an arrogant brat at the end, I was glad to see her go!! The only other one I am shocked about is the new dad..they definitely should have let him sing a different song. He had a nice voice beside all the vibrato stuff, but he was probably exhausted and nervous. I hope he tries out again next year...
Another week gone by, another group going to Hollywood..Let's hope that next week has more to offer....Take care guys and hopefully I won't get behind this week!!

Okay...so let's see.. I was definitely not as entertained by the Dallas group as I was by our Philly friends last night. There were a few wackys and a few voices that truly stood out. But, before I start on that, WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO THE JUDGES??? Simon hugging someone, Paula acting like a high schooler at a dance, and Randy agreeing with Simon?!? Have I missed something? This is not quite the American Idol I remember. Since when has Simon told someone no, but then talked about how nice they were after they left??
Let's talk about the ones who embarrased themselves. By far the one that sticks out the most is one who they didn't even spotlight. All I have to say is "Everything is bigger in Texas" and you will know who I am talking about. His family is probably so embarrased to see him on TV. There is a difference in being a cross dresser and looking like a complete fool. There are ways to do it with class!! Oh and what the heck is with Brandon and his lucky bag of fingernail pieces. Can anything get more unsanitary and disgusting than that?!? I was with Ryan with the dry heave! I have surely seen it all now!! And how about Douglas...HAHAHA..why did he keep swinging his arms around? Did he think that was going to make him sound better? And Angela Riley, whose husband swore she could sing. I didn't even pay attention to her singing..all I was watching were the faces she was making. She looked like she was in pain!! Oh and the girl who was more annoying than Ben Stein "Dry Eyes" (from the Visine commercial). Tammy Tazinski..could she be anymore monotone? Was she high? Someone get that girl a Red Bull or something! And as far as birdman goes....::SPEECHLESS::
Now onto the good ones. Again we started off to a good start with Jessica Brown. I loved her smoky tone. She had a beautiful voice and congrats to her on her recovery!! I liked Katie Malloy too. The 2nd song she sang was WAY better!! I don't think she was the best so far (GO JOEY), but she is definitely top 12 material I think! The only other one I really liked was Nina Shaw..yo she really sounded like Britney Spears! I'm glad she let her voice come through though because she can sing!! I think she will go pretty far!
So the first week of Idol has wrapped up and I am not that pleased to say the least. After 4 hours of Idol, I am kinda disappointed. I hope next week gets a little more interesting. I haven't seen anyone who has blown me away and I am expecting more arguing from the judges. I guess we will have to wait and see. So until next week kids!! See you on Tuesday!!

Well Well Well....Philly auditions have come to an end. I must say I was more entertained from the negative than the positive. There were some that were really good, most weren't very memorable. The trio of Randy, Paula, and Simon seem to be in good spirits. Simon was nicer to some contestants than I was. Paula seems to be more sober this year (so far). It should be pretty interesting.
Below is my list of the spotlighted contestants (some contestants I may have missed part of thier names or completely as I was trying to figure out what was going wrong in the chat room) and my opinion notes I took on them. WARNING** some comments may be harsh and are in no way meant to hurt feelings or discriminate on anyone. Enjoy my comments and let's see what happens tomorrow in Dallas!!
*Joey Catalano: His weightloss is incredible. He looks fantastic!! He has a beautiful voice and is nice looking. I can't believe how nice Simon was to him. A great start to the new season.
*Alaa: Reminded me of Borat!! Terrible!! Humble to say the least.
*Melanie: Very nasal and very monotone. How did she make it?! She was not good at all!! I guess we found this year's Sanjaya!
*James Lewis: LOL...sounds like he is in slow motion. How can people like this be surprised by the judge's comments? What was he thinking? and that mustard yellow jacket? YIKES!
*Zhengzhong Zu: HaHaHa!! Sleepytime!
*Junot Joyner: I was not expecting that voice to come out of him! While he did have a nice voice, he is not very memorable.
*Jonathan Baines: Great voice! Good look too. He might get swept under the rug though.
*Temptress Brown: Wow..she is a linebacker?? Ouch! Why would the parents of these young kids let them come to the show and be let down? and besides that, why would she let her go on TV dressed like that? Disgraceful!
*Mark Hayes: Why did he sing White Christmas?? I really thought he would be better.
*Udi Sampaat: Frank Sinatra? Barry Manilow? Who lied to this guy? Am I the only one not seeing it? and what exactly did he want the judges to explain to him? I mean he has to know he sucks..right??
*Alexis Cohen: Definitely unique. I guess she is the reason that Allentown is so odd!! I think she should stick with her art. She sounds like Bette Midler in Hocus Pocus. She was kinda creepy. Did she really say actressing??
*Angela Martin: Her daughter is beautiful! What a sad story. She definitely has the "idol look." Beautiful, soulfoul voice. I don't know if she can break the corny showgirl routine though. If she does I think she may make the top 12.
*Alyse: Way too dramatic. Wow! What was she thinking?!
*Milo Turk: I don't even think this is worth writing about, but I will!! What is with the foot stomping?? Funny song, I don't think he has ever has sex himself!
*Kristy Lee Cook: Beautiful girl, amazing voice. Definitely top 12 material.
*Ben Haar: What on Earth? Are they serious? Why would Paula make him get waxed? They knew they were going to say no to him. I mean after all that he did, they could have let him at least get a minute of the song out.
*Paul Marturano: How creepy! Paula might want to get a restraining order on this guy. I so agree with Simon..creepy! SECURITY!!!
*Beth Stalker: I think she has sang beside my table at Macaroni Grille before. How did she get in? She was not good at all!!
*Chris Watson: Very attractive! I love that he made the song his own! Nice voice. Not bottom 12 material, but very humble and real.
*Christina Tolisano: Weird-O!! What an interesting voice. She is truly a dork!!
*Brooke White: What cute babies!! Nice voice, but again, quite forgettable. She sang one of my favorite songs though. SOMEONE GET THAT GIRL AN R RATED MOVIE AND A STIFF DRINK!!
So, needless to say I was not that impressed. I'm glad Philly had some true talent. I hope everyone enjoyed the show. See you tomorrow night in Dallas!
