So as you can tell by watching Good Day today I'm a bit of a Potter nut.
I try to read a lot about the series and get some clues based on what the author herself says. I figure she is the best source after all.
So what do you think will happen in the next book? Myself and my friend Elizabeth (who is big into Harry as well) will be talking about your theories as well as our own all morning long on Good Day!
PS - Dumbledore is dead. Don't bring up any theory that says otherwise. JK Rowling herself said he is dead, and she wrote it, so she would know!

So on our website this morning I put up a web poll asking who was your favorite Eagle.
I added Koy Detmer to the list thinking a few people would say yes and realize he is a solid guy who has been in Philly for a very long time.
Sue he's not the best QB out there, but the guy was pure Philly.
A spunky guy who was always ready to step up and lead the team from behind center. A man with a lot of guts who played his heart out.
He would have facial hair and drive around in a new beat up old car every season, then auction it off for charity.
The guy is just awesome.
Now we can say he is better then Tony Romo.
Sure it's as a kick holder, but Koy's holding helped the Eagles win the game, and Romo's helped the Cowboy's loose in grand fashion.
So yeah, I like Koy.
And here is a fun fact from his wikipedia entry:
"Koy is known to only pack his playbook and a toothbrush when leaving Philadelphia for road games. The one set of clothes he wears to every game is constant throughout the year."
How awesome is that!
Some players have a legion of people that travel with them, clothing lines, t-shirts.
Koy has a toothbrush and a desire to play the game.

Call me old fashioned ... but I liked the old fashioned voting machines!
As I left work this afternoon I picked up my mother and we ran to vote at our local polling place (Local for her, I moved about two months ago but haven't changed my address yet so I still vote there)
When we got there we went through the usual routine giving our name and the like ... then we had to wait in line while one machine stood empty.
One of the two electronic machines was broken ... wouldn't work at all I was told.
Apparently a few people did vote in the machine before it went down and officials said they may not get to fix it before the end of the day ...
The election worker there didn't know what would happen to the votes stored in the machine if it wasn't fixed before tonight.
I'm left to wonder if they will make it into the count at all? I'm sure officials will say that they will make it into the final count in January, but in today's world, that isn't soon enough because the race will be decided and a victory speech given before midnight.
It's 2006. We were supposed to be in hover cars by now and taking vacations on the moon!!!!
I have to imagine that our ancestors would laugh at us ... we spend billions of dollars on things as a country ... things we need and things we don't ... out of those billions, we can't spare some cash to make sure things go right on election day ...
How many heroes have died to make sure we as a country can vote?
In the last two presidential elections, the integrity of that vote has come into question, and I'm sure it will again this time around ... seems a sad tribute to our past, present and future.
I did the best I could though. I showed up and voted.
I just hope I'm heard.

The most common question we get here in the Web Department:
How do I set myfoxphilly.com as my homepage?
WE LOVE THIS QUESTION!!!!
It means you like us and television people are typically very insecure and need all the validation they can get!
So ... the answer ...
In both Internet Explorer and Firefox you would go to the tools menu at the top of your page and select options.
In internet explorer there should be a place near the top of the window where you can put in your homepage.
In Firefox you need to click on the general tab and the place for your homepage should be there.
All you need to enter is www.myfoxphilly.com
Thanks so much for all your great e-mails ... we love getting the compliments ...

In case you missed it I just had to boot off a blogger ...
I had honestly wanted to never do that, but then again when someone floods a comment section with things about wanting one of our morning anchors to have his baby, it happens.
So yeah, he's gone and I'll keep booting people that do that ... especially considering he spelt the anchor in questions name way wrong. If you are going to harass somebody, please at least spell their name right ... it’s common courtesy really
if it gets worse then we'll have to start censoring everything and reading every post for approval before it gets on the site. I don't want to have to do that because I think that holds us all back.
We want this to be as free as possible, but let it be known that if your goal is to harass others and draw attention to yourself, you won't be around much longer ...
On the flip side ...
We love all the great posts we have been getting! The comments on our share your thoughts blog have already been read on Good Day and will continue to be ...
This section is probably the most exciting of the site and as long as we all play nice, it will continue to be!

Here it is ... the website you have all been waiting for!
MyFoxPhilly.com has many great features that you will come to know as time moves on, one of them is blogging!
To get started blogging just read this entry, and you know all you need!
First you will need a blog account to comment on, or post on any topic you want. If you want to let Sue know you loved her "musings," you need to sign up (this helps cut down on the rif-raf).
How to sign up?
Click Sign up in the box above the "Community" tab at the top of the page. Once there you will have to fill out a form and provide a few details.
Once all that goes through you can customize your blog and your own "Personal Newsroom." The newsroom is basically all the posts you put up.
Once logged in you can click on my info and upload an avatar. An avatar is that picture that shows up attached to anything you post. Mine is the one of me looking tired with clouds behind me.
Fun Fact: I'm wearing the same shirt in that photo as I have on now as a type this. To be fair though, the pic was taken more than two weeks ago.
If you want to put up an avatar, find a pic of yourself or anything else that you like and make sure you know where it is saved. Click Browse and locate your photo. Once you upload it you will be taken to a screen with a red box. Just use the box to crop your pic and then you have your avatar!
You can also click on Settings and change or update your information in there.
If you click on Themes you can change the colors of your blog.
And if you wonder if anybody even looks at your blog, click on stats and you can see!
The Community section is ment to be just that, a community.
Feel free to sign up for an account and start posting your thoughts. Some of your submissions (Photos and your initial profile) will have to go through an approval process. Don't let this turn you off to it. We will get stuff approved as soon as we can and often the 24 hours it tells you it will take, is really more like 24 minutes.
Once you are signed up you can post away on any topic you want! Just select a category at the bottom of your blog window and that will place your blog in one of our sections. Right now the traffic section isn't posted on the home blog page. That's only because nobody has blogged about traffic, so if you want to talk about the roads, feel free!!
Once people start submitting stuff into the sections, myself and the other moderators will place good posts and ones we like up on the home page.
Also, if you have photos you want to share, you can! Just go to your photo section and upload photo's just like you uploaded your avatar!
If you have any questions just leave me a comment or send an e-mail to web@fox29.com!
Happy Blogging!
