Hot topic: Gas prices.  They just hit $3.50 a gallon on average in Pennsylvania.  Now people are lining up for $3.19 gas in New Jersey.  What's the solution?  Share your ideas and your stories!  We may even use them on television!

we have to do something about these prices, before it gets out of control and we will be paying 6 dollars a gallon

What bothers me is looking ahead to next winter. Heating oil and propane costs have already doubled. I forsee people having to pay 4 times last winter's heating bills.

You have the environmental whackos to thank, and no one else for the high price you are paying! They would not and will not allow:

1. Drilling for oil in the Arctic, which will not harm the environment one iota despite all their rhetoric. 2. Drilling offshore of the US where we know there is plentiful supply. We already drill offshore in the Gulf with no environmental issues whatsoever, ever. 3. Drill out West in places where there are known oil deposits and drilling can be done without negatively affecting the environment. 4. Building more refineries to increase the ability to process and deliver more oil to market. 5. Build more nuclear power plants - oh my God, they're having a heart attack now. Fact is, this is a great source of energy and the fears this group has put on the American people about his are unfounded. 6. Build more coal plants that now have much cleaner emmisions and are much more efficient than they were decades ago.

The fact is, we ar totally dependent on oil and while there are alternatives, none of them will be ample enough to replace oil and the ones that could, like nuclear, will take a decade or more to get in place. Solar, wind, water and other sources are wonderful, but are not going to make a DENT in the overall energy supply any time soon. You people are deluded if you think our dependence on oil is going to shrink significantly any time soon unless you want to go back to living in the Dark Ages. Or let China, India and Russia's economies grow and flourish while just taking it on the chin economically in the US and take one for the

I still see plenty of people speeding, driving with 3.00 pints of coffee in hand (that's 25 bucks per gallon of coffee) and going out to expensive dinners(and waiting up to an hour to be seated). Time is money....for gas. People have lost all perspective. BTW, if you're standing in line waiting for an hour waiting for a table at a nice restaurant you have to ask yourself "how do I bill my time"
