Thanks to global warming, I have depleted approximately ten percent of my firewood stash and it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, for Pete's sake.

Some of this wood I've had since the end of the 2004 hurricane season. Al, you're killing me. Friends, get out there and let your cars idle, PLEASE. Gas is cheap now and it will help warm things up. Throw away (I mean, recycle) those CFL light bulbs. Get your incandescents out again.

The temperature went below freezing at 11pm at Gainesville Regional and it was 29 at 5am.

And how about those poor people in Cleveland? I guess they won't be growing citrus in Ohio anytime soon, will they?

Watch it! Last time I posted something like this, some DOPE said I was an IMBECILE!
At the risk of being labeled an IMBECILE again, I agree! So much for global warming huh? The last time global temps went up was 1998! If this keeps up, we'll be burning the furniture like in that episode of M*A*S*H! Remember that one?

HappyHumpDay Boys.

Climate change is a much more appropriate term. Whether it's natural or man-made remains to be seen, but changes are occurring. Obviously.

Personally, I'm looking forward to cooling temps. A high of 79 in the summer would be fan-freakin-tastic. Tho all my freezing Northern relatives will be wanting to camp out here.....

What sucks is one of my banana trees produced fruit for the first time this year. She got a sheet wrapped around her in October. I don't recall ever freezing in October the 30+ years I've been down here. Tho, it could have happened in the 80's and I could have forgotten. ;) Tonight will mark the 4th time the banana tree and other plants will be covered. hehehehehehe...... MotherNature says 'how dare you produce fruit!'. I'm glad I got pictures of the beautiful flower and tiny bananas. Hopefully she makes it. They always die when it freezes. Tho, they've always come back. *fingers crossed*

I glanced at a headline a few days ago about one of the 'markers' they use was saying October was the warmest on record. ah, hello.... Where?

Don't worry, they'll all figure out another name for that tax and tax us all for exhaling.

We can't control the Sun. But it can control us and Government can always find an excuse for another Tax. Two givens in our world.

Speaking of burning furniture, I've heard tell of a party at someones home many moons ago that was going so well, when they needed more wood for the backyard bonfire, the siding on the house looked attractive and did the job quite nicely. They only got a couple of sheets off

...and burning before someone halfway sober realized it might not be the best option in the world. Especially from the landlords perspective. Tho, they're good guys. They replaced what they'd burned in the heat of the moment of their male bonding experience the night before. Men. Gotta love em. Even when they act like complete imbeciles..

Big deal, the Earth went through a similar climate change 10,000 years ago I understand; it's nothing anyone can do; what happens, happens. I believe that man causing this is baloney, not bologna, baloney. This bunch of 'global warming' bozos are full of it, they're just making millions of $$$$ from unsuspecting people all over the world; the scientists that say its caused by man are also full of it; its a shame no one was around 10,000 years ago when this happened; I'd love to hear what they would say. Let the ice caps melt and glaciers melt; its a cycle of nature, what are you gonna dom, go up to the northern climes and install a giant freezer? Personally i won't lose any sleep over this whole thing. People have seen to many hollywoodized disaster flicks.

I changed my mind!

This is more evidence that man is destroying the planet with pollution! The particles we pump into the air are reflecting the life giving rays of the sun! Can't you see what's going on people!? If we don't act now, we could all freeze to death before Al Gore's flood hits us! We have to do something NOW!

This message brought to you by "POOBO" or "Pointing Out Obsurdity by Being Obsurd"

Shouldn't that be POABA? Abusrd is spelled w/an "A" last time I checked.

Now particles...I'll give the eco-freaks that. THAT constitutes pollution. That's the s*** that gets into your lungs. I'm all for cleaning up our act from a pollution standpoint. Particulates, oxides of sulfur and nitrogen, etc.

But CARBON FREAKING DIOXIDE is NOT a POLLUTANT - never has been; never will be. It is a biproduct of many (most) natural processes.

global warming? maybe not, but habitat destruction most definately. between the brown clouds above numerous cities around the globe to the plastic garbage dump spanning hundreds of square miles in the Pacific, to the dead zones in all the oceans, the human animal has damaged or destroyed most other species habitats.

Ooops...sorry Floyd. You can't clean up the nitrogen. That's what most of our atmosphere is made of anyway.

Both Nitrogen and CO2 are Necessary elements towards the restoration of Habitat Restoring PLANT life..

Climate change is ONGOING..

We are STILL at the tail end of the Mini ICE Age and we will see the ONSET of yet ANOTHER such period in about 500 years..

The Mean Global Warming trend of the ENTIRE 20th century has ALREADY been offset by the COOLING of the last TEN years...

Don't try to tell a global warming/climate change nut that it's actually gotten cooler in the last 10 years! They will call you all kinds of names and put you on the same shelf as the Nazis!

Notice that Al Gore hasn't been around in a long time? Maybe he'll grin at Obama and try to be Secretary of the Interior? That would drive home the fact that "Obama I" will actually be "Clinton III"!

When I look out my window and my thermometer reads a whopping 35 degrees my mind does not think global warming. So if THIS is global warming how cold would it have been without it? Let me think, oh I know 23 degrees right? Yeah, if you say so. BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

Problem is, guys, we haven't heard from Albert in quite awhile. Things have gotten colder, much colder, since he's stopped flapping his jaw. Stands to reason it'll get warmer when he starts blowing hot air again...

At the TIME that Washington crossed the Deleware it was CHOCK full of floating ICE..Something common up until THAT time but NOT seen for longer then the LAST 100 years..

Of COURSE Climate Change is the Appropriate term..It is ALSO the NATURAL term..NATURE abhors a STATIC condition ALMOST as much as it Abhors a Vaccuum..It's USE ( Climate Change) by the Global Warming Crowd MERELY reflects an ADMISSION that "Manmade" Global Warming is a SCAM and it's merely an attempt to SALVAGE an Environmental CRISES that does NOT now and NEVER has existed...

Hawk,

Funny how when GW crossed the Delaware, we were at the end of the "Maunder Minimum" or as the non meteorologists call it, "The little ice age". Before that, it was so warm in Greenland that the Vikings grew crops! And the English grew grapes in the northern part of England. They cant do that now either! All these things the alarmist on the environMENTAL front ignore.

I am your normal, middle-class, "working Joe". But I am also a capitalist and believe that nothing good comes from socialistic entitlement programs. I believe in hunting down and killing terrorists like the little rats that they are (except that that statement is denigrating to rats). I grew up in a very conservative household and was fortunate enough to have had a conservative American Government teacher (a retired US Army colonel) who helped to show me the "right" way. Are there things that I would like to change? Absolutely. But NOT the kind of "change" being espoused by Hillarock Obaminton. I have lived in Florida for forty of my forty-eight years. I've been a big Pink Floyd fan since my teen years hence the moniker, FloydFreak. My friends call me Freak, Floyd, and FF. The libs call me a neocon. I wear that badge proudly. Please note that I enjoy engaging in spirited discussion - even with those with whom I disagree. There are a number of individuals on these boards whom I respect even if I DO think that they're out of touch with reality. Please note also that I do not tolerate personal attacks on my character. If you think that I'm full of BLEEP, you have the right to say so. But drag my character into the gutter and expect retaliation in kind with FloydFreak's own brand of sarcasm. Keep it civil and we'll get along fine. To those of you that see good in America and want the OPPORTUNITY for prosperity for all - and do not just seek to soak it to "the rich", I say God bless you. And God bless America!
