I know it's almost Halloween Buddy, but you don't have to scare all the Independents to vote for McCain and the Congressional Repubs like that! ( They already realize that it'll take an experienced man like McCain to get us through all the Major Problems in every area of governance facing our Nation presently. ) Obama needs to gain experience; then he can come back. But now’s not the time after only 2 years in Congress voting down party-lines and uncertain “PRESENT” votes. Think about it Buddy, I know you’re reasonable, and I understand your interest in Obama. But our country must come first.

Filibustering is employed by BOTH parties. The Dems have prevented MORE than their share of progress with it.

I just heard an Education System Analyst on NBC, who are typically Democrats, discussing George Bush's PLANS for our education system. He said the PLAN was a good plan . . . but Democrats prevented it from working by holding back funding.

They're all a bunch of idiots. We need to all meet at Jamestown and start over. To conduct Congress the way Franklin, Jefferson, et. al. intended. Me, you, kippp, Frank, and Ed would take leave of our jobs for a session to keep our Nation moving forward. No time to tell lies, take bribes, and vote "PRESENT". And if we did, we'd Tar and Feather each other!

It really depends on what kind of Democrats elected. I'd prefer a Congress that doesn't doggedly follow The Party Lines of the Extreme Minority-Right or Left. One where Gingrich Grid-Lock is avoided and only One Law, etc. per Bill, not the present Add-On Special Interest Crap hidden within. IMHO Thank You For Your Indulgence

good post, I have not thought of that. Everyone knows that the republicans have done everything in their power to stop everything that comes across the floor. It would be nice for some of it to get past, but the republicans hold everything up as much as they can.

Push and pull, it is why the founding fathers designed it so, for as long as there is this dialouge people are less likely to take up arms.
