1st freedom in danger of Obama White House

Congress members such as Chuck Shumer and Diane Feinstein are gitty...already planning of taking away our right of freedom of speech by talking this week about how the (Un)Fairness Doctrine will soon be put into effect.

For those not aware, the (Un)Fairness" Doctrine, like unions, had its place one time in America.  It required news stations, who use to offer a political commentary near the end of its show, to provide equal time to an opposing point of view.  In a time pre-internet, this was extremly important!!!  (Funny how the left see Fox as bias, but CNN, MSNBC etc are not).

However, in an effort to silence people like Rush, Hannity, Boortz,  Savage etc., these anti-constitutionalist have expanded it to talk shows!!! 

The main differences is talk radio is ENTERTAINMENT, NOT NEWS!!!  The left has attempted to have its own talk radio (Air America) in an open market...it failed!!!  No listeners, thus no advertisers.  Not being able to compete in an open market, they will use regulation to silence the other side.  With internet and thousands of sources to get your "NEWS",  you have options to a political commentary on your news program!  The   (Un)Fairness Doctrine  would require radio stations to PAY for the same time (out of pocket if they can't get advertising, which Air America proved they can't) for any opposing point of view!!!  Stations won't want to or be able to pay this out of pocket expense, so will eliminate all talk shows!!!!!!

Remember, the (Un)Fairness Doctrine is a REGULATION, NOT a law, by the FCC.  It has 5 members, 2 Republicans, 2 Democrats and one member appointed by the President.  As soon as that 5th member is appointed by Obama, you can bet the (Un)Fairness Doctrine will be quickly implemented by a 3-2 vote!!!!

So, when you can't compete in an open market and don't like free speech when it may talk bad about you, you use regulation to silence it!!  Welcome to the Socialist States of America!!!!!

You read it here first.  By 7 Nov 2009, the FCC will have impleted this polcy!!!! The question should be, what are Obama and the Democrats  afarid of?  What comments, opinions or truths would be so damaging that they will take away our right of freedom of speech?????

After reading the article written by Jay Hamburg, as well as the articles in the Nov. 5, 2008 issue, I wish to address the quote from Nadine Smith of Equality Florida that she "worries about a possible backlash against gays". This may be true, but it is NOT what should occur. The exact opposite is what should occur now: a backlash against denial of basic, human rights and a backlash against the straight majority that voted to take away the rights of human beings....and taxpayers. Would this happen today if the target of prejudice and discrimination were black people, Asian people, Hispanic people, and Jewish people? No, because all these minority groups are protected under the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Unfortunately in 1964, very few gay people dared be themselves publicly for fear of murder, ridicule, ostracization, or even jail or confinement in a mental institution. The American Psychiatric Association removed homosexuality as a mental illness in 1973 as a result of burgeoning scientific evidence that it is a
natural variation of human behavior.


In California, the repeal of same-sex marriage has sparked protests and riots already. This is where gay and lesbian taxpayers of Florida need to go next. I am already disputing being taxed by a government entity for school taxes in a state that does not allow me to adopt children and will not recognize parental rights. Why should any gay taxpayer pay school taxes for the children of heterosexuals? Why should we pay federal income taxes to a government that devalues us as second class c

Sean Hannity was talking about it; one of the first signs of socialism....suppress the voices...."I've heard," that a well educated, well trained, wealthy group of voters....over 38,000....and growing...is becoming an adamant watchdog group....and they aren't happy with our country being sold out to appease illegals, welfare leaches, and to oblige the "white guilt," of liberal white democrats.

It appears that instead of striving to be something better in life, mainstream liberals want to drag the rest of the country down; synonomous with "No child left behind..." In actuality, the seemingly jealous democrats want to hold backachievers, similar to the way the school board holds back "smart kids," to accommodate and pad school board numbers to make things "fair," and "equal." Well, no more....it's gone too far, had enough.

WELL THIS A START.
OBAMA ALL SAID THAT THE U.S. CONSTITUTION IS A LIVING DOCUMENT AND ITS TO OLD AND THAT IT NEEDS TO BE RE-WRITEN.
WAIT AND SEE IF THEY DON'T START THIS, THEY ARE ALL READY TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET AROUND THE SUPREME COURTS RULING ON THE 2ND AMENDMENT.

That is, unfortunately, human nature. One other poster responded to me that I should not attempt to fight discrimination because gay/lesbian people represent only 10% of the population.When white people as a whole are only 10 % of the population in this country,something that could be the case in 15 to 20 years,I wonder whether that poster's point of view will change when he is the minority and facing discrimination.

Born and raised in Tampa, I'm a 5th generation Fla Native and proud of it! My mom raised 6 of us by herself, in a time long before welfare and food stamps. She worked 3 jobs, which is probably where I learned my work ethic and my distain for people who are too lazy to work and "expect" their welfare checks and food stamps year after year, generation after generation! I spent over 20 years in the Air Force, going in during Viet Nam and leaving after Gulf 1, and have a son currently in the Army preparing for deployment to Iraq. The loves of my life are my wife, kids, grandkids and the Harley (not necessarily in that order, but don't tell the wife, kids or grandkids)!! When not working on my second "career", I ride with a group called the Patriot Guard (patriotguard.org), attending the funerals of our heros who gave their lives for our freedoms. Most in our organization use our "personal days" or "without pay" to attend with permission of the family, and are proud to do it!! This group started because of people such as those at Westboro Baptist "Church" who began protesting these funerals with signs such as "thank God for dead soliders". NEVER AGAIN!!! Yep, I'm a right wing, conservative redneck. I don't like people using abortion as birth control. I think the ACLU is the worst thing that ever happened to this great country. I think 99% of the lawyers give the rest of them a bad name. I promise that if you come into my house in the middle of the night you will be carried out and buried. I think no one should be on welfare for more than 2 years during their life I don't think I should have to pay to support your kids fathered by someone whose name you don't know. I think every county should have a jail just like the Sheriff in Maricopa County AZ with tents and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I don't care if what i say offends you. I think illegals should be put on a bus and taken back across the boarder. I don't think I should have to press 1 for English. I think you have the right to burn our flag, but I promise you won't be successful if I'm around and don't care if I get sent to jail while your left-wing, liberal, Michael Moore, Rosie, Alec Baldwin America haters cheer!!!! I will PROUDLY go to jail to protect HER!!! If we disagree here, that's fine. You have to right to be wrong. I don't take it personal and hope you don't either. Land of the free, BECAUSE of the brave...
