The crime rate in the United States is WAY OUT OF CONTROL!  You have sphincters executing kids in a park, mother chopping up their kids and putting them in bags under the sink.  3 people killed today by a driver who TRIED TO RUN.

Why is this happening?  The United States is too god darn worried about the criminals rights above the victims.  You hear stories every day about family members going balistic in court rooms due to the sentence their son's or daughter's killer got or getting off due to a technicality.

People do not worry about getting the death penalty anymore.  Why?  Because they KNOW it will be at least 12-15 years before they are executed.  I firmly believe that SWIFT punishment should be doled out.  No matter what the reason, if you kill someone you should be put down.  Liberals don't like my thinking....too dam bad.  If the U.S. would get tough on the criminals, I MEAN TOUGH, the crime rate would drop.   If an illegal immigrant is arrested for a serious crime or a repeat visitor to our penal system, to hell with the trial, put thier butts on a bus, train or plane and send their butts home.  Child molesters should be left alone with the family of the victim for....say, 5 minutes.  Bet you that crime would drop also.  Drunk drivers should lose their license for 1 year on first offense and permanently on their second.    Why is it that the U.S. has the highest crime rate than any other country.  IThere may be another country higher than that of the US but you get my point.

SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO CORRECT THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN THIS COUNTRY.  AT THE RATE CRIME IS RISING I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THE PROBLEM IS UNDER CONTROL WHEN MY KIDS GET OLD ENOUGH TO GO OUT ON THEIR OWN.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Stiffer laws.
No more pleas.
Make the jails all self sufficient and hard labor.
No more early release.

Another words, more chain gangs.

It's all in the wordings of the laws that gives the criminals the escape goat in doing the time for the crime....some judges have no choice and some are just down right stupid! It's all in how you play the law game...if anyone is to blame, it is the idiot law makers that leaves out certain specification within the law written!

"SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO CORRECT THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN THIS COUNTRY."

What justice system? We don't have one; we have a LEGAL system.

Justice: punishment befitting the nature and severity of the crime

Legal: according to law

And never the twain shall meet. We've been in a social experiment for the last 40+ years; it's a FAILED experiment that no one will admit to. "Politically correct" has replaced CORRECT, and "legal" has replaced JUSTICE. "To protect and to serve" is a bald-faced lie insofar as the "protect" part goes. And law enforcement perpetuates the lie. Why did it take a citizen to come up with the idea of the OPD and OCSO having a joint task force to take care of prostitution in a certain neighborhood? Why couldn't the Chief and Sheriff come up with that idea?

There IS NO justice .... just the law.

I agree with harsher penalties, and don't understand how we, as a country, let it get so out of control.
I think drunk drivers should get the same penalty as would a person firing a gun into a crowd, as it amounts to the same thing, maybe you will get lucky and not hit someone, but there is a better chance that you will destroy many people's lives instead. If not that, at least take away not just their license, but also their car, regardless of ownership. The owner of the car is responsible for who drives it, and if that person lets someone drunk drive it, then they were just stupid and irresponsible. I feel the only reason we don't have more severe DUI punishments is that a lot of the rich and political still drink & drive, and probably always will, and they will block and tougher laws with all their power.
As for the death penalty and our criminal system in general, let's just say that I don't believe in life sentences. If someone's total sentence is going to be more than 20 years, give them the death penalty instead so we taxpayers don't have to proide them room and board for life. There are much better ways to spend that money, like on better pay for teachers and police, so we can attract better quality people to do these much underpaid jobs. if someone is going to be incarcerated for 20 years, they will be hardened by prison even if they were not of a criminal mind to begin with, and therefore be useless to society.
There are 3 reasons to put someone in jail, depending on your philosophy: to punish the criminal, to protect the victims and potential victims a

We don't need stiffer laws or more of them. We simply need to start enforcing the ones we have and to stop allowing liberals to use excuses and special programs as a way to circumvent the penalty process. We need to realize that being female doesn't make you the better parent. We need to be able to review judges yearly and remove them if they aren't following the law and doing what's best for our citizens, families, and country.

Yeah shrink, I believe that is where it starts. When I screwed up as a kid, my dad would kick my ass good! Believe me, it was a detterent!
A little less coddling, and a little more discipline, would go a long way toward reducing the crime rate among kids.

We CANNOT correct this mess until we as a nation agree to REMOVE all the congressman, and senators from office. STRIP WASHINGTON.

TEMPORARILY SUSPEND OUR NORMAL WAY OF
DOING BUSINESS IN THE GOVERNMENT, AND INSTITUTE ( TEMPORARY ) BIG CHEESE. ME.....

I'll CLEAN UP THIS ENTIRE COUNTRY, and i'll rid the country of CRIME, AND SCUM BAGS faster than you can kill roaches with RAID....

IT'S THE RED TAPE OF THE LAWYERS who are
actually our politicians. You can't get anything done in Washington because there are too many cooks spoiling the brew.

I may not be the PERFECT MAN, but I sure
as HELL can ring circles around ANYBODY in Washington. I'll bet the farm on that one.

Once I get things fixed up, we can put the government back to normal BUT,,,, with some healthy changes that I know we really need

Congressman, and Senators KNOW how to bend the laws to their own advantage. They've been doing it for three centuries......

IT'S TIME TO CUT THEM ALL DOWN TO SIZE.

Make me the BIG CHEESE IN WASHINGTON...

Drmonty GUARANTEEES SATISFACTION, OR I WILL VOLUNTARILY LEAVE THE OFFICE IF I CAN'T PRODUCE LIKE I SAY.

WATTA YA THINK??????????

The objections to executions not being humane might have some validity. Although most Americans don't have the stomach for it, I much prefer the concept of dismemberment for crimes. Cutting off a limb to prevent the person from duplicating the crime would definitely be a deterrent, but would allow the person to live and change their ways.

There might be a few people without arms and legs, but in the long term many would be criminals might have a change of heart. Even if we had to pay total disability to support someone without any limbs, it would still be cheaper that the economic and social damage that criminals are doing. Rapists and robbers are not very effective when they are missing all of their limbs.

We have raised a society that is spoiled our children have no morals. Our government is way out of control; their only interested in their agenda and WE THE PEOPLE has gone to HELL!!

Until we change our ways nothing will get better. Our children must be shown that there are consequences for their actions.

We spend 500, 000 thousand on a trail for a child molester/killer and then more money to decide if he is mentally challenged so he won’t be executed. Give me a break, I know people who are really mentally challenged and they don’t go around killing or molesting our children. We must be politically correct, he is entitled, WHAT, he gave up his rights when he killed that innocent little girl. In my book take him out and hang em, just make sure the rope doesn’t kill him, leave him for the buzzards. Oh, and please don’t shelter this from your children they need to see the consequence for their actions! Maybe then those who choose to hurt other will get the message it won’t be tolerated. Not you go to jail, we feed, cloth, and of course give you health care and if our jails get to crowded you just might get out to destroy someone else’s life and if we catch you again you have a right a trial of your peers.

What kind of world has it become when the criminals have all the right and the victim has none. This is justice!!!

I choose not to be a victim; I don’t leave home without my personal protection. If I see someone in need I choose not to turn my head and always welcome trespasser to my home, how they leave is their choice.

After reading all your comments above, you guys are all agreeing to what it is that i'm saying here.

WE NEED MR. BIG BALLS IN THE WHITE HOUSE

THAT'S ME......THE FIXER.

I don't want to be a politician. I just
want to get in there, and STRAIGHTEN OUT THE MESS THAT ALL OUR LAWYER CONGRESSMEN, AND SENATORS HAVE CREATED. Three centuries of
GREED, AND SELF INTEREST.

I SWEAR this is something that I would really like to tackle. But i'm not interested one bit in dealing with all these Washington
Losers. I just want to go in, and tell em all, THERE'S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN BOYS.

And you play my way, or I run your sorry ass down the road.

We're taking back the friggin country, and get some stinkin BALLS. You can throw
politically correct out the window too.

Stop being so THIN SKINNED you losers.

GET SOME HAIR,,,, cause you're gonna need it Pal.

I want EVERYTHING CLEAN. from slums to the highways. NO MORE GARBAGE. And that goes for SCUM BAGS TOO. They're also garbage, and if they step out of line, THEY GET IT......

TIME FOR SOME NEW LEADERSHIP HERE.

I tend to think of myself as a down to earth guy. I do hate the way things are going in the U.S. right now. With elected leaders not caring what the people think and just doing whatever the --ll they want to. If you need names, watch fFOX 35 more often. I am relatively new to the blogging scene but am more the wiser for paying attention to it more often. I think this country should only be concerned about 1 country....OURS! To hell with what the rest of the world thinks about it. France....who needs em? Iran, Iraq, ALL those middle east countries.....Let them blow up their own people if they want to. AMERICANS, not the people who either floated over on rafts or swam across a river have to basically take this country back. I do not vote. What good does it do. Promises made are never kept. Taxes continue to rise etc. People can say what they will about me not voting, doesn't phase me one bit. The last 2 presidents have lied to us constantly, "I DID NOT HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH THAT WOMAN " Give me a break! THE POLITICIANS ARE SOME OF THE BIGGEST CROOKS OUT THERE. Enough ranting. I like spending time with family and friends. It is not uncommon for me to call some of my neighbors over on the spur of the moment and cook a big mess of "MUDBUGS, SHRIMP ETOUFFEE, AND CHICKEN GUMBO" Hence the name, "FLACAJUN". I love to cook, I am a certified chef. Don't work in restaurants now but plan to own my own SOON! When it finally opens I will invite all of you. Well, that's me.
