Its that time a year....yes its Deer Season in Missouri. The season and the hunt is as much about the brotherhood of your family and friends as it is about the actual hunt and killing a deer.

I have hunted for the past 25 years with a friend and our boys have grown up hunting with us. We have a good time telling tales about the seasons past with fond memories and there is a good spirit about the whole event. If someone actually kills a deer that is a bonus to the event. We usually fix big meals in the late morning after the hunt and discuss ever minor detail of the early day from how many shots we heard to how cold it was.

This year was a little different for me. My 23 year old son who I have hunted with for at least 13 years finally killed a nice buck from his tree stand. He was just telling me this morning that he was thinking about not hunting from that stand anymore. All that changed about 7 am. The 10 point buck walked within about 20 yards of him and as they say the rest is history. It was one of the most exciting times I have experienced with my son. He was so happy and so was I.

At what point does Tony realize building Izzy's confidence is costing them games they should win....so is the last one now 4 or 5 blown saves? I am no expert but it seems something needs to change...!

Are you taking steps at work?

My  kids bought me a Pedometer for Christmas. You see, I recently have tried to take up walking in an effort to have a healthier lifestyle. (the idea is easier than the action). Since my work is a great deal in an office, meetings or seeing clients in their home or business my work activity is made up of walking to the copy machine, walking to the next office for files and getting in and out of my vehicle. Today I decided to see what the readings would be for a normal day. I was shocked and I am still not sure it works right but here are the numbers;

Steps - 7372

Miles - 3.49

Calories -199

Can anyone tell me if this seems normal? I will see what tomorrow holds.

David is what everyone hopes a baseball player would be. He works hard, he is excited like a little kid playing in the big game, every game and is humble in his and the teams success. He is a great MVP choice and I am very proud he was selected the MVP, because he is valueable to the Cards and the game. David my hat is off to you.
