Well I see that our fine Mayor has had a change of heart.

HE (and he alone) has decided , with the help of his impaneled task force, to start having Phoenix PD  inquire as to the immigration status of all criminals. Not just Felons.

The Chief of Phoenix Police announced this new policy would go into affect immediately.

This because Phoenix has been criticized for being a "sanctuary city" for illegals.

You don't think that maybe that recall effort may have had more credibility then they gave it credit for?

Yes, I do believe that the recall action taken by his constituents had an impack upon his poor judgement and down right bad behavior, however I still feel the Dill Hole must be recalled because he backslides to often and can not be relied upon to DO HIS
JOB!!! He will never be re elected nor will he ever be governor

He is too wishy washy and can't be depended upon. His word means nothing anymore. We need someone who is consistent.

This is a good sign. It actually shows that if we make more intelligent noise than the marching illegals, They will listen. And it probably helps that illegals aren't supposed to vote and we can.

I agree with all of you. It also shows that he is just a typical politician. When the dust settles he'll try to back on this. Keep up the recall. Butch Napolitano should be next.

him not having a mind of his own, and only having our back when his jobs on the line, makes me want to NOT vote for him anyway.....or pull his butt out now even more so. Why cant poloticians just have an opinion they stick with and believe in? Being so wishy washy isnt helping his cause

Well so far I see that we are in agreement.

And yes, I say we continue the recall, I've already signed.

I think that a more notable message needs to be sent. One that says people are tired of the same ole crap!!

Not at all surprised.
Mayor Philly Cream Cheese has proven that he doesn't have the balls that Governor Plain Janeatano thinks she has.
At least (had my) Phil (of) Gordon knows his limitations.
What a punk!!!!!

I don't live in Phoenix but this subject is of interest. Does anyone know who sits on this so-called advisory panel?

Funny how someone can change their views when their job is threatened....I guess he realized Americans really do care what happens in their city.

There is a difference from him having this policy because it is the right thing to do and him to have this policy because he was forced into having it.

Phil was forced into this policy. And because of that, his time in office should be shortened by the voters!

Every one should know that there are about 8 to 10 people that go to ALL the blog sites in the valley under different names putting down three specific political figures. The Govenor, Mayor and Dan Saban. They have their own agenda and will do whatever it takes to suck in more backers to their cause. Don't be mislead by what these people state. Most, if not all of what they post is gibberish, nothing more nothing less. To even think that a weak recall attempt could sway Mayor Gordon is ridiculous. This policy was deliberated by an advisory panel appointed by the Mayor. This is NOT a "CHANGE OF HEART" as this blog is leading people to believe. It was enacted starting in February 2008. It's nothing new. I guess the bottom line is this, when the General Public doesn't take the time to inform themselves they believe anything they read on these blog sites. I do have to say, Nice try. Remember you 8 to 10 people your ISP is the equivalent of a finger print. You think you are blogging anonymously? Think again. And please do not ask me the names of these people. They are well known to all that need to know.

Well RD, once again you speak with all the arrogance of someone that is all knowing.

Correct, the panel was formed in Feb. They gave their recommendation to the Mayor and he elected to ignore it. That is until this recall started to pick up momentum. Now was his change of heart a coincidence, maybe, I would not bet on it.

As for Saban, once again time and money are wasted on a lost cause. He is running for an office where the incumbent has one of the highest approval ratings ever.

And all that babble about ISP's and anonymous blogging and all that, what in the hell are you talking about?

Maybe just maybe there will be a time (and I won't hold my breath for it) you will do some research of your own.

Until then I'm sure you will continue the P.T. Barnum approach to things and baffle the folks with B.S.

RD, You have just proved me wrong!!! You are a bigger nerd than I thought you were. Do you honestly spend that much time on blogs to go as far as look up peoples IP adresses and compare them on other blogs??? Wow dude, WOW!

I actually apologize for calling you a nerd, I was just at a loss when you shared that information with the rest of us. That still doesn't change the fact that that's a little uhh, nevermind. I'll keep these to myself this time.

Feskk--off subject, but I was too busy to respond to your question regarding the Zionist movement to get all the land from the Nile to the EUphrates. So, here is my response:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_Israel

Cut and paste that and you will learn what the Muslims believe is the goal of Israel.
