hey, i know that yall are pissed cas of yet another tragedy in the sport of kings....but lets face it....it happens...its just unfortunate that yesterday, chelokee dislocated his ankle, but hes goin to be jus fine, and i did cry at philly park today when i saw eight belles lying on the ground...things happen..theres a risk to everything...these horses are bred to run, and they llove doing it. these animals are treated better than most humans...they treat these thoroughbreds like royalty..i dont know if you remember tiago, from last years derby, well he only drinks fiji water...and you should actually go to the backside of a racetrack one of these days and watch how precious these animals are..and there handeld with care, since there so fragile....
so maybe you should actually know what goes on behind the scenes before you jump to make accusations, on how she was maltreated, and should have never been entered in the derby..well i have an answer to that my friends...
if she was to run in the soup yesterday, worse may have happened..she has never ran on an off track...where today was a fast track....
also...she was one of the few..about 4 horses...that had a triple digit beyer figure..she also is a big filly, as big as winning colors, the last filly to win the derby...she was bigger and better then most of the field...some of us actually know the horse and watch her race...unlike those who just flip on the tv on derby day nd say.."oh..she sucks,. shes a girl..she doesnt belong in here.."
doesnt that sound a little sexist? thats why they offer the triple crown and other stakes races to both sexes, so the talented fillies, like rags to riches and eight belles, can prove to the big boys that theyre all buisness, and what did eight belles do today? she came in second...she prolly would have won it if big brown didnt get a dream trip. this filly was sometihng else, and some people just refuse to believe that sometimes, the girls are better than the guys...
rest in peace eight belles...you gave a battle and made big brown run for his $$$
you truly are a champion in the eyes of many. <3
derby starters pedigree analysis

Adriano- sire is AP Indy; he should have no problem with the distance, but does he have the class?
Anak Nakal- out of Victory Gallop; may be better suited to the Preakness, but can handle the 10 furlong distance.
Big Brown- by Boundary; heres to all you bandwagon jumpers, and heres why he cant win it..im sorry ricky dutrow to down your morale and confidence..but its simple: he has little stamina influence on the female line of his pedigree. the only productive thing he may do is ensure a fast pace in the derby, or sit off of one, but he wont be there @ the wire.
Big Truck- hes by Hook and Ladder; he should get the distance thanks to the stamina on his mother's family, and his sire is chock full of speed.
Bob Black Jack- Stormy Jack; 1st crop for his sire, who was a miler. his mother was a sprinter, and his pedigree just screams sprint. its hard to believe that hed get the 10 furlong derby distance.
Colonel John- Tiznow; sire was dual BC Classic champion, and his dam is a stayer out of Turkoman, who was also the damsire of hard-knocking Hard Spun. this horse can run all day.
Cool Coal Man- hes the 1st crop out of Mineshaft; his great-grandsire is Northern Dancer on the female side.
Court Vision- by Gulch; dam is Weekend Storm, full sister to Summer Squall and half sister to AP Indy. great-grandsire on mother's side is Northern Dancer. should be perfectly suited for the 10 furlongs.
Cowboy Cal- Giant's Causeway; sire and damsire, Seeking the Gold, were runners up in the BC Classic. the cross between those two have already produced Noble Causeway. he should be capable of handling the distance, but can he run as well on conventional dirt as he can on the grass and poly?
Denis of Cork- 1st crop out of Harlan's Holiday; favorable for long distances w/ mix of speed and stamina on the female line. damsire is Unbridled, victor of the 1990 derby.
Eight Belles- Unbridled's Song; grandsire is Unbridled. Dixieland Band is damsire, and inherits sufficient stamina from male side of the pedigree. great-grandsire on female side is Northern Dancer. daughters of D.Band foaled Monarchos and Street Sense. speedy female line.
Gayego- Gilded Time; sprinter's pedigree. lacks maternal depth/quality.
Monba- Maria's Mon; little doubt that he can handle the 1m1/4. Maria's Mon is also sire of Wait A While and Monarchos. damsire is Easy Goer. polytrack questions, but owns a victory over the CD surface.
Pyro- Pulpit; his offspring are better suited to 8 furlonngs. speed on mother's side of pedigree, except for damsire Wild Again, BC Classic winner. WA's best offspring have been sprinters. will need to buck the trends to handle the derby distance.
Recapturetheglory- Cherokee Run; sire was champion sprinter. speed on maternal side of pedigree. 9 furlongs may be limit, but win in Ill. Derby was one of the most highly rated preps from a speed rating perspective. its plausible he won't find the 10th furlong as big a hurdle as some of his opponents will.
Smooth Air- Smooth Jazz; not bred for 1m1/4. 10 furlongs might prove outside his reach, given his breeding.
Tale of Ekati- by Tale of the Cat; beautifully bred. speed on male side, distance on fermale side of pedigree. granddamsire is Sunday Silence. inbred 3x4 to Mr. Prospector, 4x4 to Northern Dancer, and 5x3 to Nijinsky II.
Visionaire- Grand Slam; may have difficulty w/ ten furlongs because of speed-oriented female line.
Z Fortune- Siphon(BRZ); stamina on sire side, speed with mother. quick closer that may be up there, and most likely will be carrying a hefty price.
Z Humor- out of fantastic sire Distorted Humor; sire of Funny Cide. pedigree freatures notable classic influences. looks solid enough to endure 1m1/4. same exact cross as Any Given Saturday, w/ AP Indy as dam sire. DH crosses well w/ Seattle Slew mares, prime example being Funny Cide, whos damsire was Slewacide. inbred 3x4 to Mr. Prospector and 4x5 to Northern Dancer.

tell me your thoughts and predictions for this saturdays 134th kentucky derby.
i like the following horses:
1. colonel john i dont care about the cali horse and polytrack myths, this horse loves the dirt. just watch his workouts on kentuckyderby.com. there phenomenal. he just eats up the track. and his sire is tiznow, who won the greatest race of his life @ CD. he can deffinitley get the distance.
2. big brown im not sure he can win it, but hes gonna be up there the whole time. hes gonna be on or near a nice pace that is setting up for saturday. if he can pace himself, hell be in the money.
3. pyro im drawing a complete line through his blue grass. im blaming the polycrap that he was running on. but, he shouldnt have ran 10th. anyways, that can be his bounce race. hes gonna fare well off the hot pace, since this is seeming to be a closers race.
4. eight belles i love this filly. shes big. shes got tons of stamina. she can do the distance. i liked her last race in the honeybee, where she showed tha shes a fighter and wasnt giving up to alina in the homestretch. larry jones is making the right decision with this big, leggy filly. lets hope that she doesnt draw the 20 hole. she also will be carrying 5lbs less than her male competition. shes had scintillating workouts over the churchill surface. if she gets a nice post position, watch out boys, cas this little girl can run!
5. court vison hasnt really done anything since his 2yo season. hes been hitting the board, but nothing impressive. he should fare well off the hot pace. liek i said before, this horse can close off a hot pace, since its going to be liek the 05 derby, a closers race.
6. bob black jack i loved his SAD. you may call me crazy, but is he runs his SAD, hes gonna be up there, and for a good price too.
7. z fortune this is a good closer that is gonna carry a hefty price. this horse can run. i liked the way he ran in the ark. derby. ill deff put a couple $ on him to show.
saturdayy is an amazing day for racing fans...on espn2 from 5-6 there is a live telecast of the florida derby nd a tape of the dubai world cup....both are shaping up to be good races indeed...
so the florida derby..its a G1..but it doesnt have G1 calibur horses in it...maybe with the exception of majestic warrior...but he hasnt proven it so far this year..two allowance winners tomcito and big brown are going at it..but tomcito i tihnk is the better of the two....it will definitley be a great race to watch..with majority of the field coming off of victories...face the cat is a horse that i am anticipating to see run in graded stakes company..he was looking good in his last win...but i tihnk for this race..im gonna have to incorperate nistle's crunch..the jersey bred..i saw his last race, and he looked real good. soo for thiss race...i tihnk im going to playy a lot of trifectas...cas there are too many possibilities..this is a talented field...my winner is feirce wind..i tihnk..haha i reallly like hey byrn who has won a the 1 1/8 mile distance...but granted that was against allowance company...
soo im putting fierce wind on top of big brown...and nistles crunch/majestic warrior to show...im not a fan of elysium fields at all..even though hes covered te distance...idk...im not on his bandwagon, but he has a great shot to win. =]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~
soo the dubai world cup...curlin a.k.a. super-horse is the 3-5 ml fave...
this a deep field with 4 us invaders: well armed (dont know why hes in here) great hunter (he could hit the board maybe?) curlin (self explanitory: hes great) a.p. arrow (it would be a longshot indeed)
soo my horse to win this race is the japanese invader vermilion...this horse has been infallible since last years world cup...vermilion as well as asiatic boy will give curlin a run for his $$$...even though asiatic boy was 3rd in his last prep for the cup, everyone has a bounce race..i mean come on..he won the triple crown over there last year..give him some props ya know..also returning to the cup is 2nd place horse premium tap...i love this horse to death, but he hasnt been in his form lately...he could give curlin a problem also..with that wide 12 post of his...happy boy is alright...hes not a standout..he could do something..like 4th maybe?
for me being an american...i am going to be rootin for curlin all the way...but im not going to bet him to win @ such chalky odds...im going to put vermilion on top of curlin over asiatic boy/premium tap...
the other americans running in dubai on saturday are better talk now in the dubai sheema classic...i think he has a great shot...spring house...yeah right you can forget about him....not with the likes of youmzain, who was 2nd by a head to dylan thomas in the l'arc de triomphe last year...quijano, oracle west, and yellowstone are others that i think will do somthing, but of course i will be rootin for BTN..
in the duty free there is notional...hes a LONG long shot though...i kinda like bullish luck as well as literato...i m still <3 broken over lava man's last place finish in this race last year..
in the sprint..the golden shaheen..theres colbalt blue..merv probably wishes he was still here to send his horse to dubai...i dont like this horse...barbecue eddie..ehhh...well hes alright in california..idk about the middle east..bushwacker...well same goes for him..hes good in cali..but they usually cant run anywhere else...benny the bull...im all about this one...hes amazing...he has a wonderful shot of winning this one..and idiot proff...i also like this horse, and he has proven that he can run outside of cali by setting a track record @ monmouth for 6 furlongs...1.07 and change!...now diabolical...the deleware valley phenom who was sold to godolphin...im going to be roooting for him becuase im a big fan..i saw him run @ deleware and the pha all the time ans i hope he comes home victorios in the shaheen..
massive drama is in the uae derby..this is his prep for the derby i guess...i am not giving him a shot even with gomez in the irons..and hes 6/1 4th choice morning line...he may hit the board if that..
diamond stripes and barcola are in the godolphin mile...i realllly like stripes in this race..the mile is his best distance by far...im anxious to see how he does...im putting my $$ on him...blackkat blackkitten is my choice though..hes phenomenal...barcola can forget about it..also with gomez in the irons lol
haha soo im sorryy taht i have not been writing for the past week or what everr...ive been swamped with softball practice nd a scrimage for archbishop wood high school softball...
so pyro....no supriises there....i expected him to win the la derby
giant moon...what happened to him?
georgie boy and bob black jack did suprise me either...
z fortune..hello...i tihnk the fast pace affected him...
and war pass had a crappy trip..but taht may happpen to him in the derby too...so im not totally throwing out that race...i figured big t ruck nad atoned would do good though.
G3 Sham Stakes Preview

an important 3yo prep race is today at santa anita..the sham. the top notch horse in the field is the undefeated el gato malo...but i dont think he will come home victorious. i like colonel john just a bit better. its going to be a tough battle between these 2. there both very talented and exeptional runners. the other intrest in the field is the japanese bred reflect times. he was 2nd in the san rafael, a race that was won in a romp by "the bad cat", of el gato malo, for those who dont know spanish. coast guard will be scratched from this race with a minor ankle injury and will run in the el camino real derby at bay meadows ina a few weeks. so basically my trifecta for this race will be 1-6-7 colonel john over el gato malo and reflect times. colonel john salready has experience over the 1 1/8 distance because he ran 2nd in the cash call futurity in december.
the foy was an interesting race on sunday, no doubt. i could see cool coal man winning actually, but i would have expected a better performance by anak nakal, monba, court vision, and halo najib. i would have never expected such an average pace, granted i didtn have a racing form to look at. the times were actuallly messed up..the real times were 24,47,111,136,150. instead of 25,49,113,137,151. but i give my props to court vision, considering he hasnt run since december 22nd. and monba i know is definitely a synthetic horse. anak nakal and halo najib may have been affected by the pace, and there will never be a slow pace in the derby, considering the fact that war pass, who i think is a slight better version of hard spun, will set the pace.
so i wont exactly throw away that race..because i hav to congradulate cool coal man..i tohught he was a bit out of his league. he performed well and i wont take that away from him.
now war pass was another story..at about 15 minutes to post.. a field fo 5...the odds were 99,99,70,1/9(you kno who),99
i like died
but come post time they were 35, 7, 25, 1/9, 30..and the $2 exacta payed 2.60. $2 tri payed $7 and the super payed 11 dollars.
no one was even close to feel his kick back...but i still ahve questions about distance...grranted this race was a mile..but he was weary in the champagne an the bcup...1m1/8....in the champagne..if it was 1 furlong longer..pyro would have won.and i tihnk that is how it will play out in the derby.
well see if he can get the distance come the 1st saturday in may
G2 Ftn. of Youth this Sunday 2/24

Sports
theres a nice field of 12 3yos in the foutnain of youth stakes this sunday. the field from the rail out is as follows:
1. Cool Coal Man w/K.Desromeaux
2. Golden Spikes w/J.Castellano
3. Court Vision w/G. Gomez
4. Kentucky Bear w/E. Trujillo
5. Z Humor w/ C.Velasquez
6. Ready Set w/J. Lezcano
7. Monba w/E Prado
8. Anak Nakal w/J. Leparoux
9. Elysium Fields w/E. Coa
10. Halo Najib w/R. Douglas
11. Make The Point w/ J. Velazquez
12. Adriano w/E. Castro
my obvious choice for the winner in this race would be Court Vision. i have watched every race of his and im impressed with his gritty attitude and nice running style, just closing off of the pace. but, he hasnt ran since the Remsen on decemner 22nd, but im not taking that into consideration. the pace should set up for him perfectly. i also like Anak Nakal to place. my show horse would be Monba, whos coming out of a 4th place finish in the CashCall Futurity. Cool Coal Man could be in the money also, i sawh is nice allowance win a few weeks ago at GP, but i tihnk this is a slightly higher class then he is. i am shocked that bill mott is enterign Z Humor, who jus ran a disapointing 5th in the Sam Davis last saturday. 8 days rest...i dont kno..i dont like that. i dont really like anyone else in this race.
i was really displeased with the mediocre performance from Z Humor on saturday in the sam davis stakes at tampa bay today. he was right up on the pace today, which he usually lays off of.. he did so in the champagne and came in 3rd to War Pass nd Pyro...i didnt choose this horse for my roadtotheroses.com stable because i thought his last race, the $1 million Delta Jackpot, took some out of him since it was a dead heat. obviously, it did. the result--->a poor 5th place finish in todays race. the winner...Fierce Wind, the 2nd choice odds-wise at post time, 3/1. trained by Nick Zito, who has a slew of other potential contenders, certainly impressed me, as well as Big Truck. but there not that great, in my opinion. my jaw didnt drop.
so on sunday, the G2 fountain of youth stakes will be run @ gulfstream park. there are about a dozen entrants, topped by Court Vision, who i really like, and Anak Nakal. although the top beyer in the field comes from Kentucky Bear, who broke his maiden in a 6 1/2 legnth romp, and earned a 93 beyer. i still think that Court Vision is one of the top derby horses so far. he has a tremendous late kick. others nominated for the 1 1/8 mile race are Adriano, Cool Coal Man, Elysium Fields, Golden Spikes, Make the Point, and pletchers horse, Monba. also entered is Face the Cat. this is turning out to be a nice field of 3yo's. last year's ftn of youth was a thriller, where Scat Daddy narrowly defeated Stormello, who just edged out Nobiz Like Shobiz, who nosed Adore the Gold. wow haha =]
some top contenders have been working out also...
Friday, Feb. 15th
Crown of Thorns Santa Anita 6 furlongs in 1.17:80
El Gato Malo Hollywood Park 6 furlongs in 1.11:80
Cool Coal Man
Palm Meadows Training Center
4 furlongs
47:20
2 big derby preps are on saturday and sunday...the g3 risen star at fair grounds and the g2 san vicente at santa anita....lets start with the risen star stakes...
the horse that i like the best is pyro....this horse has been the bridesmaid to 2yo champ war pass 3 times....i think this is the perfect derby horse..along with court vision..but back to pyro...he has the highest equibase speed figure in the field with a 115...z fortune has a 100...this horse needs to fire just at the right time in order for him to catch the pacesetters...also a closer is z fortune..the impressive winner of the lecomte stakes..a race in which hard spun won last year...these are 2 steve asmussen horses that are the stars of his stable...three other horses that have a shot at winning or hitting the board are blackberry road, check it twice, and visionaire...my trifecta for this race would be 8-2-11..pyro...blackberry road..z fortune
now to the san vicente...
three top horses in this race..massive drama, georgie boy, and the impressive into mischief...winner of the g1 cashcall futurity...massive drama was 3rd in that race...but massive dramas last start in the g3 san rafael was displeasing...3rd....he set a suicidal pace and another good 3yo el gato malo or "the bad cat" ran him down in the stretch...that may have been his bounce race..and he may return victorious in the san vicente on sunday...georgie boy was entered in the sunshine millions dash, but scratched, and was probably a good decision becuase bob black jack ran 20 and 42 ..54..and 106!!!! for 6 furlongs....well...the santa anita course was practically blacktop becuase of the drainage problems...hes impressive..and i like him...now to into mischief..i liek his stablemate crown of thorns who impressivly won the bob lewis last week...i dont know if hell get it done...so my tri would be 2 massive drama...4 into mischeif and 1 georgie boy..
well see how the first round of derby preps go..and good luck to those who are in roadtotheroses.com fantasy game..like me..smarty party stables..so look out..hhehe =]
as you all know, i was one of the many in attendance aat the breeders cup on saturday. it was a thrillling day indeed, and i came inches away of winning a few thousand...which killed me...i got GREAT photos of Lahudood, Midnight Lute, Ginger Punch, and Curlin in the winners circle...the horses were lookin great that day...the only one that i thought looked horrible was Any Given Saturday...but there was tragedy in the Classic...George Washington was euthanized after beign pulled up at the 16th pole....this is an eyewitness account of wht happened at the racetrack...
i was at the winners circle right up against the fence..when all of a sudden all the media crew were not paying any attention to Curlin, who just won the Classic, but they were all lookin at the middle of the racetrack...i saw wht they were looking at...in the home stretch i was lookin through my binocs cheerin on hard spun wen i saw the tragedy....its funny because just the day before i was watchin the movie Rufiian on ESPN w/ my mom, and i was like " i hope i never have to witness a great horse be pulled up and euthanized on the racetrack."...i should have never said that.....anyways..when i was lookin i my binocs i saw the jockey mick kinane pull up george washington...he took a bad step..that is all that it took for this european turf star to go down...i sstopped cheering and tears started welling up in my eyes...i NEVER want to see a horse in pain..especially the excruciating pain that g wash was in...i stayed on the fence at the winners cricle nad called my dad who was at our seats right at the 16th pole, where it aalll went down...i could see everytihng through my binocs, and then 3 ablulances came over and the men held a tarp up, but only facin tha people rght in front of them..since i was at an angle i still peered on and saw them lay the horse down on the track, and attempt to put a stint on his right foreleg nad bandage it up..obviously it didnt work..and i saw the vet that ESPN has talkin to jeannine edwards and he said that the horse had sustained numerous fractures to his cannon, fetlock, and sesamooid bones...basically his leg nad sesamoids (the bones attatching the hoof ot the ankle) were shatterd into numerous peices, and his ankle was split in half and dislocated from the sesamoids...it was gruesome indeed..bone curdling pain that this horse went through..i could jus tell by the expressions of the vet that it was horrible and it was a compound fracture...which means that it broke the skin nad was immune to infection immediately....the hrse was laying on the ground and the nexxt thign i saw was the vets liftng the horse onto the ambulance with another tarp...i knew it was final...he was put down..after i got some pictures of curlin i ran to my parents to break the news to them...becasue the whole racetrack started cheering and applauding when g wash was in the ambulance..but i wasnt..i knew he was gone and i started to cry while reaching my parents..they asked w hy i was cryign and i said that thye euthanized him..at first they dint believe me but another woman had gotten off the phone and also stated taht ESPN announced his death..i was in a somber mood the rest of the night...i didnt eat much of my dinner at ruby tuesdays, and i cried most of the way home...back when i was runnign to my parents to tell the news..i herd a man say " aidan o'brien should be sanctioned for running this horse in this race." .. i knew he was joking but i would agree...he is the best trainer in europe..he should have known better..even when George Washington ran 6th out of 14 in the clasic last year, i was dumbfounded as to why he was in the feild...i felt taht aidan o'brien would fly back to europe wit a heavy heart that evening...another interestin fact is that back in 06, george washington won the 2000 guines the same day tht Lael Stables' barbaro won the ky derby...george washington was bred by mr n mrs jackson, and they havent seen him since he was a yearling...also..george washington was still running this year because he failed at the breeding shed in europe...if that were the situation, i would have kept him retired and let him be just a horse..
this is the sport of horse racing that i have grown to love throughout the years, and i will always love it..there is tradegy in every sport..so dont blame the greedy owners (althoguh they were pretty greedy for the owners of g wash are the 2 richest men in england..they also own dylan thomas who ahd a dissapointing performance in the turf and rags to riches, the stellar filly who captured the belmont from curlin)...there will always be a lust for money in hrose racing, but not all owners are like that...look at roy n pat chapman...everyone was pissed because they retired smarty after the belmont, but they were r ight. he had a bone chip nad he could have been dead if they decided to run him in a prep for the breeders cup...soo look at it that way..there are many grooms, hotwalkers, stablehands, jockeys, trainers, and owners who struggle in ths sport.
i hope i never have to witness wht i witnessed on saturday ever again in person.

ahh yes..it is that time of year again..the breeders cup world thoroughbred championships...im am sooo excited since i will be attending the latter of the 2 day event...here are my observations and choices as of today..10/24/07...they will most likely change come post time..
breeders cup filly & mare sprint
i really like the west point horse DREAM RUSH...but pat biancone's LA TRAVIATA i think could upset her..these are two very speedy fillies..i also think OPRAH WINNEY is a likely contender, for she has won over the monmouth track, and i have seen her do so in august on haskell day...my other value filly in here is BARONESS THATCHER..i have loved this horse from the begining of her career..she is strikingly beautiful, and resembles smarty jones looks wise...she has speed, and was robbed last time out..she puts up a fight..and i tihnk she is worthy of hitting the board in this race...as i do love the local horses..MIRACULOUS MISS could spring an upset, but i dont tihnk she is at the calibur of these classy filly and mares.
breeders cup juvenille turf
my horse in this race that i will put the money on is GIO PONTI..i love the way this horse runs, and he puts a giant effort in every race he runs in...todd pletchers THE LEOPARD is another good turf juvenille..he was dissapointing in the futurity aginst the likes of TALE OF EKATI and KODIAK KOWBOY...but that was on the dirt...he is a monster on the green stuff..winning the pilgrim stakes in his next start...i also am very fond of this horse.....CHEROKEE TRIANGLE has speed in his breeding, with his sire being cherokee run, nd he is a colt taht i think will run well..but not good nuff to win it...now my favorite euros in this field is DOMESTIC FUND and STRIKE THE DEAL..these are very talented horses who i think are good enough to win the juvie turf
breeders cup dirt mile
i have never been a fan of him, but i tihnk the mile and 70 yds is the perfect distance for DISCREET CAT. last years cigar mile impressed me..he is due to win since he has done absolutely nothin so far this year....GOTCHA GOLD is the horse for the course in this race..he defeated LAWYER RON in the salvator mile erlier this year..and that is something to consider..he will gun it from the start thoguh..he likes to be up front..and he may set crazy fractions like 22 and 46...but idk..i used to be a big fan of PARK AVENUE BALL, but what has he doen for me lately? nothing. i am puzzled as to why he is even in a stakes race..let alone the prestigious breeders cup..i wouldnt be surprised if he came bursting out of the pack late to get maybe 4th..if hes worth it..now CORINTHIAN..he is sometihng....he could give DISCREET CAT a run for his money...he also defeated both POLITICAL FORCE nd LAWYER RON in the met mile months ago...he jusst needs a clean trip.. and maybe he will be in the winners circle for the last time...as a semi-longshot bomber..XCHANGER is my horse..i like him better at 1m1/8 , but what are ya gonna do..
breeders cup juvenille fillies
CLEARY FOXY is clearly a ferocious animal on the grass..but this race is on conventional dirt...how will she take it? i love this filly, but im afraid to put a win ticket on her jus because of the fact that she has yet to run on the real stuff...A TO THE CROFT ia a horse tht i think could spring an upset if she decides to run better than second, which she always has seem to run...larry jones' filly PROUD SPELL is another one that has interested me...i would liek see this filly win it..i think she has the credentials to go home victorious, and i love her trainer, larry jones, trainer of HARD SPUN...IRISH SMOKE dissapointed me in the alcibiades at keeneland..im not fully booked on her..but maybe she could run in the money....you can call me crazy..but i really have taken an interest in TASHA'S MIRACLE..i tihnk she is a gorgeous looking filly..and she can run too!..i tihnk she is a bargain at 10-1...now INDIAN BLESSING, on the other hand, is definitely the girl to beat in this race...but...she got a 97 in her maiden victtory..and dropped to an 87 beyer in the frizette..she ran incredibly slow...i like to see high beyers in the mid 90s for 2 yos who win stakes races...i still like her though..but im pickin TASHA'S MIRACLE as an upset chance! =]

WAR PASS... wht should i make of this colt?...he was impressive in the champagne..but i think it may have taken a bit too much out of him..come time for the big dance..i tihnk he will falter in the stretch and run 2nd or 3rd...TALE OF EKATI jus threw his chances of winning the juvenille right out the window..he ran 4 furlongs in a blistering 45.79!!! but that can work with you also...i dont know what to make of this horse either.. i thought the workout was way too fast..my favorites in this race are KODIAK KOWBOY, SLEW'S TIZNOW and SALUTE THE SARGE...these are alll very impressive colts who are on their way to stardom indeed, but the distance is a quesiton for me with SALUTE THE SARGE...i do have faith in him that he will come home on the board..SLEW'S TIZNOW is a fantastic looking colt...a full-brother to SLEW'S TIZZY, he runs ten times better than him..KODIAK KOWBOY is a favorite of mine, ever since the start of his 2yo campaign...he was impressive at churchill downs..and he did run well in the futurity, where of course TALE OF EKATI was victorious...PYRO....he has a late kick that i like..at 6-1 i am certainly puttin somethig on this horse at those odds...
breeders cup filly & mare turf
NASHOBA'S KEY.....she is my favorite horse this whole year...she has been the most imprssive..she has faced and was victorious in every challenege that has been thrown at her...she has won on the grass, and the synthetic..she has beaten 3yos and older mares, with the likes of CITTRONADE..i am puttin a win ticket on this 4yo undefeated filly..HONEY RYDER will run well..as usual...i dont tihnk she can beat the likes of NASHOBA'S KEY..i like PRECIOUS KITTEN at a mile distance..not 1m3/8....PASSAGE OF TIME is another euro that has a shot of running big...i liek her...WAIT A WHILE has failed to impress me this year..but its todd pletcher..soo shee will run huge most likely
breeders cup sprint
SMOKEY STOVER...hes my horse in ths race..he is a spittin image of LOST IN THE FOG..i loveed him sooo much..and im rooting for SMOKEY STOVER just because he runs like him, he looks like him to a T , and the same connections...MIDNIGHT LUTE i tihnk is a fraud...i dislike him very much...i cant believe im actually saying this, but i think ATTILA'S STORM has a big shot..its his 3rd try so why not? COMMENTATOR has never really caught my eye...and he isnt going to against the likes of GREG'S GOLD...he had really bad luck in the ancient title...i like him, but he drew a bad post...he will probably hit the board..but you never know..i liek him and smokey stover...KELLY'S LANDING is a horse that i have always liked...he is a gigantic horse...hes very big..and has all the speed to go with the size
breeders cup mile
i hate AFTER MARKET at the mile distance..hes much much better at 1m1/4....ICY ATLANTIC is the horse for the course, loving momouth's turf...he has won here, but im not fullly impressed with him..i really like NOBIZ LIKE SHOBIZ..what a turnaround of a career...he is a lawnmower! he absolutley loves runnin on the green, and hes gonna show off his speed in the homestretch of the bc mile..hes my winner in here..TRIPPI'S STORM could be a surprise...i also am looking at KIP DEVILLE..who i never used to like..i was indeed surprised at his valliant effort in the woodbine mile..runnning a good second to SHAKESPEARE...COSMONAUT..maybe..if he decides to run saturday...PURIM i like way better on the dirt...but was shocked at his performance in the shadwelll mile... i like MY TYPHOON at the filly an mare turf distance on 1m3furlongs
breeders cup distaff
this is the most wide open race i have ever clapped an eye on...if this race were to be run 12 times..you would have 12 different winners ....my mind is waverign with LADY JOANNE..i thought it wwas ironic thoguh becase i thought her name was pronounced "jo-ann" instead of "joanie"...my grandmother joanne ( pronoucned "jo-ann") passed away in late may...and i felll in love with the horse just because of the name..she is impressive though..i give her credit for runnign up against the big girls and giving a good performance...GINGER PUNCH is one that i have always been a fan for..i tihnk she will put up a good fight in this race..and i like the distance for her..UNBRIDLED BELLE is purley a shock in my mind..i would have never guessed that she would have ran away wit hte del cap the way she did..and then beat the same calibur horses in the beldame...i dont like her post..and i dont like her... i tihnk she is a fluke and i am not wagering on her to win place or show..maybe 4th for her...INDIAN VALE decides whether she wnts to run or not towards the homestretch of a race....if she feels pressure..then hse will either falter or give the other horse a run for their money...she reminds me of a horse by the name of ROCKPORT HARBOR...he was stubborn like her...she may give her all on saturday..and i m greatly surprised that she is the m/l favorite..and not someone like LADY JOANNE or GINGER PUNCH..im not a big fan of INDIAN VALE..and i never will be..when i think she will perform well..she doesnt..when i least expect it.. like in the beldame..she actually puts an effort towards running!...she still is very talented indeed, and this disttance may suit her well...HYSTERICALLADY is one who i will put money on..i dont care if she is from the west coast..she ran away in a blowout in the molly pitcher at monmouth..that was enoguh to impress me..i m throwing away her last start just because it was on the artificial surface....OCTAVE is another one who you cant count out...she alaways seems to finish on the board where ever she runs...
breeders cup turf
DYLAN THOMAS is my horse...i was very impressed with his valliant battle to the wire with YOUMZAIN in the prix de le arc de triomphe...he is indeed the best horse at 1m1/2....im pickin him to win...ENGLISH CHANNEL never seems to show well when it comes time to run his best against the big boys...he is indeed the best american in this race... but i liek the old boy in BETTER TALK NOW..he is my horse for the place wager...he may not have showed that much this year...but i believe he will come up big in the turf...you can have your RED ROCKS...i think the horse sucks...thats it!..no one else but DYLAN THOMAS, ENGLISH CHANNEL, and BETTER TALK NOW have enoguh to win this race.
breeders cup classic
here is another wide open race...LAWYER RON and HARD SPUN are obviously gonna gun to the lead and fight it out from there...but i have a feeling that HARD SPUN will pace himself and let LAWYER RON burn himslf out...i love my local boy HARD SPUN...but there lurks the looks of CURLIN and STREET SENSE..these are two phenomenal horses...this is the only race where i dont have a clear cut favorite in my mind..i will probably go ennie meenie miney moe at post time and choose a winner from there....if i had to pick an outcome..i would choose HARD SPUN to win..CURLIN to place by a neck over AWESOME GEM...STREET SENSE will get 4th...i jus have faith in HARD SPUN and idk but i jus think STREET SENSE will fail to show up on breeders cup day...i liek TIAGO at 1m1/8...as well as LAWYER RON..and ANY GIVEN SATURDAY... i dont kno why GEORGE WASHINGTON is in here...DIAMOND STRIPES is waaayy beter at one mile..

its about time..........hard spun has finally beaten street sense....he did it this evenign in the kentucky cup classic a G2 race at turfway park on the polytrack...hard spun is now 2 for 2 on the poly while street is 0 for 3....street was flanking hard spun the whole race...but he never resisted to the constant pressure of street sense....i wathced the race on hte 5th floor at philly park....but there was only a 4 horse field with the scratch of muqbil...so hard spun n street sense went of at 4/5 and a $2 exacta paid 5.60...now both of thses colts are headed to the b.c. classic at monmouth park on october 27th....i mgoing nad im soo excited to see these 2 very talented colts....
the only downer on the day today was that lava man scratched out of the goodwood...which i excpected believe it or not...so he will race next week oct 7th in the oak tree mile.....GO LAVA MAN!!<33
