its about time..........hard spun has finally beaten street sense....he did it this evenign in the kentucky cup classic a G2 race at turfway park on the polytrack...hard spun is now 2 for 2 on the poly while street is 0 for 3....street was flanking hard spun the whole race...but he never resisted to the constant pressure of street sense....i wathced the race on hte 5th floor at philly park....but there was only a 4 horse field with the scratch of muqbil...so hard spun n street sense went of at 4/5 and a $2 exacta paid 5.60...now both of thses colts are headed to the b.c. classic at monmouth park on october 27th....i mgoing nad im soo excited to see these 2 very talented colts....

the only downer on the day today was that lava man scratched out of the goodwood...which i excpected believe it or not...so he will race next week oct 7th in the oak tree mile.....GO LAVA MAN!!<33

YESSSSSS!!!!!!. Just goes to show you how versatile & talented Hard-Spun is. Watched it on the Delaware Park show. Modest/slow fractions ('member how fast they were in the derby?) this time. Revenge is sooooo sweet, lol.

ohh yesss it is indeed!! i tihnk if hard spun can run those fractions of 24 and 48 in the classic...he may be able to perform well....i think hard spun is peaking just at the right time...i cringed at the fractions in the derby, but i was pleased with the fractions in the ky cup...it wasnt a crawl, but it was a fairly average pace, which was good....i wonder how curlin and lawyer ron are going to run today on espn at 400..that should be an interesting race....although im not convinced with lawyer ron...sun king is my horse!!! yay!

I'm starting to think Hard Spun my surprise everyone and get loose on the lead in the classic. Monmouth is a speed-favoring course. But, it won't be easy. Unlike the Kentucky Cup, there will be some early speed in the classic. I really wish Hard Spun was going to stick around and run for another year. Can you imagine how strong he'll be in 2008?

he such a nice looking horse and i think mario will keep him close to the pace in the classic...hopefully he will draw close to the rail...he should keep a pace like he did in the ky cup classic...he is going to be a great sire now tht he won a G1 in the kings bishop and he defeated street sense....i cant wait till i go to the breeders cup october 27th!!!!

the name is Sara. im 14 years old, and an avid horse racing fan. i go to the racetrack with my mom all the time, and i hate to brag, but im a pretty good handicapper. =] ive met famous jockeys like Garret Gomez, John Velazquez, Calvin Borel, Robby Albarado, etc. the highlight of my life so far is meeting the Jacksons at Delaware Park. i always write blogs around the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup. i would love to one day become a jockey, since im only 5'3". if not a jockey, a thoroughbred trainer would be a nice option as a career. anyways, i am a freshman at Archbishop Wood High School, in Warminster, PA. and in case you were wondering, my favorite boxer is indeed Oscar De La Hoya...haha =] if for some reason you would like to contact me about anything, my email address is: fdg81558@aol.com and my AIM screen name is fdg81558
