VMA....what a mess

Did anybody watch the VMA's?
The VMA's aired the other night, and it was the worst one yet. The guy they had hosting didn't draw a laugh all night. It was extremely boring and not well planned at all. The new face of music (that's what they call it...music) sux.
I think there was maybe 2 or 3 SONGS all night. The rest was mumbled words by various artists (that's what they call them) that... only those with a secret language could understand. No wonder kids can't spell or even speak correctly today!!
Whomever did the pushing to get that host should be executed....oops....fired.
Let me know how you felt after watching ?
Did you find the host an absolute idiot ?
Dog track disaster

Wanting to try something new, we decided to go to the greyhound races as we've never been before. So, we dressed casual and hit the road, hoping for some excitement. BOY, was that a mistake !!
We first stopped by the hai-lai (spelling?)arena.....It was a FILTHY mess; bums hanging out in front and the inside was disgusting. The sign (outside) is falling apart along with the rest of the building. We got the heck out of there & headed for the dog track.
We figured it would be a descent place to spend a few bucks. ONCE again I was mistaken. The parking lot is a dirt area with no lighting and completely disorganized. The inside shocked us all. It was a pit !!! Kids hanging out..calling out for their Dad, who's gambling away somewhere in the building. It was so filthy, I think the dirt on the track was the cleanest part of the whole place. What a disappointment !! We watched the dogs run 2 races...and left.
Needless to say, our trip was fruitless & I can't imagine why these places are so delapitated and dirty.
So, if you think it might be fun, ...it won't !!
Anybody ever been to these places? What was your experience?
British Invasion

Have you noticed the increase of British people on television shows lately? OK ....I know I watch too much "reality" tv, but here are some shows I'm talking about;
1. So You Think You Can Dance. There's 2 british people on this one. One is the hostess & one is a judge.
2. American Inventor............ A judge
3. American Idol......we all know who that would be.......
4. National Bingo (which i will play tonight).....he's the host.
I'm not complaining, but it makes me wonder what's up???
Do Americans lack enough qualified people? Know of any other shows?
What's your take?
I'm in shock that Rosie o'donnell was ACTUALLY considered for The Price is Right??? I guess the producers are hell bent on ruining a good show, after 35 years with the BEST game show host ever..!!!
Rosie actually "turned it down" because it required her to move to LA.
What is wrong with these people?? Are they trying to destroy an American lunchtime tradition???
What if Rosie changes her mind......this can't be happening!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
ROSIE..again?

I can't understand, for the life of me, why people like Rosie O'Donnell. I haven't met one person in the last 20 years that likes her. She's a disgusting, overbearing disgrace of a person that has no business being on TV. What kind of trash do you think she has on Barbara Walters..it must be real good. Once again she didn't let us down, using foul language and comments (creating blinding visuals in my head...yuk) and just being obnoxious at a women's function attended by Hillary, Barbara, & students under 18. She has once again made a fool of herself in public. She TOTALLY RUINED the view ( not that I watch or anything). The "DON" said it all when he "flipped" on her. I could go on & on...
What do you think of Rosie?
Kayne West

What ever happened to Kayne West for ridiculing the President ? Talk about being racial..in case you don't remember. His pathetic words.."Umm..The President doesn't like Black People", during an awards show. He should have been investigated for making such a statement & never be allowed to be 'live" on the television again. But, as usual..he just made another album, got big bucks & not a d*mn thing was said. Let me hear some feedback on this one.
Tonights FOX Movie

Since we are in the heat of racial debates, I find it offensive & racially degrading that Fox is going to play a movie tonight called "White Chicks". That's 2 Black males, dressing up & making fun of White Girls. I can't understand why this isn't considered offensive. Had it been the other way around it would be an outrage, and pulled off the air. Oh yeah, Halle Berry's new movie is titled, "Nappily ever After". I wonder if she will be fired for such a racially charged Title?
