The Scott McClellen book is said to FURTHER confirm the PROOF that the Bush administration willfully deceived Congress, the America Public and our most trusted Allies to trick us into invading a sovereign nation and deposing their government. In addition to the mountains of evidence is the know exposed pentagon program to embed propaganda spewing generals throughout Mainstream Media to Lie and deceive us into starting a war that has cost Trillions of taxpayer dollars, cost more than 4100 troops and killed almost 2 million innocent citizens.

Are you still going to cling to the lies and slander spewed by corporate talk media?
Here are the facts... not the Oreally factoids, not the rush spin, not rove...
read any of the whistleblower (disgruntled) books, look at the news archives, don't follow what MoveOn says... look at c-span or pbs.

This crowd will reject any and everything negative about this administration, particularly if it is based on facts. Now, float an ugly rumor that Obama is a member of al-Qaeda or something along those lines, they will hartily gobble it up like a fat kid eating cake. I am sure you have seen this. It's quite amazing and amusing to see how rabid they can be.

That is so ridiculous and so old it's almost amusing, except that it's born of metal illness.
The entire world, including all the Dems and that skanky liar, ex-prez Clinton "knew" there was wmd. They just all conveniently forgot that they 'knew'.
It honestly matters not what fantasies you lefties say or choose to believe, but the thrill you get from disparaging your own country, further belittles yourselves.

no actually Major Scott Ritter who was the marine in charge of WMD inspections following the first gulf war KNEW there were no WMDs because it was HIS JOB to know... but this was a bit inconvenient for the military leaders who need to keep us fearful so they can stay in business.. and get phat bribes from the defense industry.

this is fact... and as coltrane said, you'll go clinging to a lump of dirt... spin, gossip.. before ever stooping to the level of proof and fact.

"...born of mental illness" exemplary examples of the "facts" you so quickly cling too. Thanks for proving our point Char. Lemme see in righty-speak fantasy means based in fact and truth means hearsay, opinion and vitriol propaganda... I think I'm gettin it.

You want facts here are some fact:

Excerpt of CIA (IR) Oct 2002 (Declassified)

How quickly Iraq will obtain its first nuclear weapon depends on when it acquires
sufficient weapons -grade fissile material.

All Senate members of the National Intelligence Committee had access to the CIA, DIA and other agencies reports on Iraq. A briefing was offered and Some Dems didn't show for the briefing.
" If Baghdad acquires sufficient weapons- grade fissile material from abroad, it could
make a nuclear weapon within a year."

thanks for the data... it seems credible enough to vote yea... perhaps that is how it made it past an overwhelming majority of congress.... or perhaps it made it because we are supposed to trust our brass and intelligence. But since daddy bush, rummy, cheney and the rest of the neocon teamB had fixed their intel and done litnus tests on all the key officers... no one was/is telling the truth. That intel is as credible as a three dollar bill.

From the Pentagon Propaganda campaign that setup generals as informants, to the white house destroying all evidence of any emails from 2003-2005, to the endless number of whilstleblowers who've all said the same things... and all received identical character assassinations, to the downing street memo, the Joe Wilson smear and the infamous yellow cake test tube with Colin Powell... How much circumstantial evidence do we need to convince us there is REASONABLE DOUBT???

America is obsessed with TV cop shows that kill people for less proof... and we can't raise our attention above the din of talk radio and corporate media propaganda?

we are a sad an undeserving generation of citizens... we have so much, but always we want more. its sad.

No Mark, the cure unfortunately is to dismantle the pentagon... it is rife with cancer and needs to have appendages removed to save the body.

damn right and that scum is soon to be running CENTCOM where he'll get us attacking Iran before cheney leaves office... or better yet, he'll do what his predecessors did in Mogadeshu and make the democratic president look as worthless as a peanut farmer.

Completely disrespectful.

Follow the money and power trails and you will see why McClellan did what he did. If he was so upset why didn't he quit instead of riding the gravy train around? Because he is scum and wasn't exactly great at his job anyway. Wait for him to find a place in Obama's staff...

right, and don't follow the money trails in Bagdad... 11B in cash lost on the tarmac... hundreds of billions payed to bush contractors with no accountability...

yeah, you follow the pennies and nickels while the nation goes bankrupt. typical right wing brainwashed parakeet.

you are such a yellowbellied benedict... he was your point man in 2001-3, bush showered him with praise when he left... don't even try to play condi or dana ! Armchair critic hack.

He has never been my pointman - and yellowbellied is the furthest from what I am. When have I ever said that Bush was great? Stop overglorifying this guy like he is important - Valerie Plume anyone?

I'm too tired for silliness this evening ColbyDog - I'm off to bed. And due to the wonders of raising a 16 month old boy, I will probably not respond again until Monday.

Hmmm who was president during Mogadeshu...

Colbydog,

May I remind you Director Tenet was a hold over from the Clinton administration, he severed from (1997-2004).

If there was a lack of quality Intel it is the fault of Bubba Clinton. He did more to destroy our human Intel capability than anyone.

If you have any doubts, remember the Chinese Embassy that was bombed in Belgrade. Clinton believed we didn't need human Intel when we had electronics and Belgrade was another oops, just like Clinton's missed opertunity at Osama.

No, WMDs. Explain the Chemical weapons used by Hussen in wars with Iraq and the Kurds. The bodies found in mass graves.

How about the chemical weapon shells they did find in Iraq post the fall of Sadam Hussen? The skud rockets.

Also during the Clinton Administration:
The USS Cole, attacked on October 12, 2000.

Deaths 19 (including the 2 perpetrators)
Injured 39

Perpetrator(s) al-Qaeda, carried out by Ibrahim al-Thawr and Abdullah al-Misawa

1st attack on the Trade Center Feb 26, 1993.
6 people killed.

The blast from the homemade 1,500-pound urea-nitrate bomb blew a hole five stories deep and half-a-football field wide. The explosion badly damaged the tower's inner support beams and caused $500 million in property damage. But the twin towers were repaired, cleaned, and reopened in less than a month.

Yes Kestrel,

Tenet did become CIA director during Clinton's administration but only after the GOP congress blocked Tony Lake's nomination making the Clinton camp have to select a right-leaning candidate. After-all Tenet will forever be known as "Slam-Dunk" for his role in the Iraq Invasion- as well as his seat next to John (the butcher) Negriponte behind Powell at his infamous UN yellowcake debacle.

My bet is that he became embroiled in the cheney/neocon web of fear as was McClellen and anyone in that inner circle. Its been referred to by countless political, military and intelligence figures.

One thing you can bank on is that their was a concentrated effort to destroy clinton at any cost. From the witch-hunt led by kenny starr to the whitewater folly... is it really that difficult to see them setting up clinton in somalia? They did it with Carter and the Hostages... and unfortunately, if Obama becomes President, I fear they will do it again.

Remember, Porter Goss was installed after Tenet and he vetted everyone and removed those not "with the program" I would have a tuff time trusting anyone in the Intelligence community... after this administration.

And did you read last week where the Carlyle Group is going to run the intel backbone for the government??? If thats not the fox in the hen house, I don't know what is!

rsa, the chem weapons you site were destroyed during gulf war 1 as documented by Gen Schwarzkopf. In his book he detailed the finding of many munition bunkers including a massive bunker filled with chem/bio ordinances. He had it blown up on the spot which created a huge toxic fallout that has been linked to the Gulf War Illness and deaths of thousands of Gulf War vets. It also was proven that the reason such a foolish directive to explode several tons bio/chem agents was that they were manufactured in the US and that wouldn't have been good PR.

As the UN weapons inspectors coherently detailed, they found 97% of the weapons and the other 3% were simply not irrefutably accounted for. There were no more more. But since this did little to help our imperial leaderships mission, Ritter, Blix and anyone not "with-us" has been smeared and cast as "disgruntled former workers" - picking up a pattern yet?

Well the presidential erection cycle has begun.... the first one in more than 50 yrs with no incumbents running in either party.... also the most obviously influenced by the media who have winnowed the runners to their favorites.... even before the Iowa Caucus. Have both parties sold out to Big Media and Multinationals? Does anyone in the US care? Is anyone paying attention? Lets hope people are doing more than watching TV to form their opinion. The stakes are becoming incredibly high in this rapidly globalized world... where decisions made now effect the entire planet and all its inhabitants... Are you paying attention?
