Wisconsin recently went to the polls to decide who would represent their Party in November. At least that’s what’s supposed to happen in a primary election. But that day, the first major primary after SuperTuesday, after Republicans narrowed to the field to one candidate, something far more insidious and destructive happened. In large numbers, Republican voters "decided" to mischief-vote for Hillary because she might be easier to beat in November!

Yep, these days that’s Republican for Democracy—win at any cost, screw the will of the people, lie, cheat, steal —whatever it takes to keep in office. Oh, and do it wrapped in a flag wearing your lapel-pin with your hand cross your heart, mouthing the words to the national anthem.

Hypocrites! Wisconsin Republicans, following WTMJ radio host Charlie Sykes' scheme to destabilize the democratic process (alright I'm giving Sykes too much credit) chose to be as unethical as the very leadership we have all grown to dislike.

SO the question is, just because its not illegal to spoil the will of the people and cheat on your right to vote, don't you find it morally, ethically and patriotically wrong to cheat the nation out of its Constitutional right to elect the government of its majority? Did our grandparents use an unwritten code of conduct, ethic... a moral standard or did they need laws and rules to govern every action they could possibly do?

Is it any wonder our nation is in the condition it is? Economically strapped, divided ideologically and financially, acting like an imperial aggressor, condoning treason, torture, spying, kidnapping and gross human rights abuses on a global scale, this cancer that permeates our government has now spread down to its citizens.

Today as many Wisconsinites took "hot-showers" to cleanse from their mischief-vote, they began the practice in this election of undermining the will of the people and Democracy itself. Transforming the vote into a game like Fear-Factor or the Apprentice—win at any cost, damn the rules or ethical behavior, Democracy has been turned into a phoney pay-per-view wrestling sideshow event.

Sure it has been done before... historically more often and effectively by GOP voters-look it up- but today, as we all seem to object to the corruption in government, how can we justify condoning it through our actions?

Democracy is not a game. Our right to vote is not to be treated with such disrespect. The right to vote is our most sacred institution yet we treat it like a street beggar. Ask any foreigner what they admire most about the US... it is our right to vote. Freedom to choose.

Even though mischief voting Wisconsin Republicans stole delegates from Obama, the fact that he still handed Hillary a considerable defeat, speaks volumes about the will of the people. Do you think the cancerous practice of cross-voting should be denounced by our media, or condoned?

Are you alright with people becoming accomplices in the corruption we all despise in our government? Would our great-grandparents be proud of our behavior?

Oh, and don't throw the old "evil neo-con" pigeon hole label at me- I'm a Dem and you're a fool who is a big part of the partisan problem in this country...hee, hee, ho, ho, oh, stop me, please...

I'm not certain how a question about how we should respect the right to vote, got that... but okay... perhaps its the thin air?

I'm not certain what exactly you are saying... so perhaps you are just venting... take a deep breath, count to three, and smile.... all better?

I think your way out of your mind!!! You so desire your side to win that you can’t deal with the reality that voters vote their interest and NOT what YOU think their interest is. And where is your evidence of this Mischief Vote? Obama won Wisconsin! So even if what your contending is true… It didn’t work did it? You’re one of those who believes Bush STOLE the last two elections aren’t you? You are out of your mind!

You do know that these party primaries and caucuses are privately done right? The Democratic Party is a PRIVATE organization that has ITS OWN RULES for nominating someone for president. If you are so concerned with this, then maybe you should get with your party to make the rules strict in Wisconsin so republicans do anything to nominate a democratic hopeful. Although there are some government regulations on the process, ultimately its up to the private organizations to protect themselves!!!

gee for someone who no doubt soapboxes for less government.... your suggestion to increase regulation and control of the primary process is kinda silly.

all my statement said was shouldn't we accept personal responsibility for defending the sanctity of the vote.

not partisan, not liberal... quite a simple statement.... who's got the prejudice?

Again… where is your evidence of this Mischief Vote? Then whose responsibility do you propose the sanctity of the vote should be?

sceptic, those highlighted, underlined words in the blog post are called hot-links or hypertext. That means you can click on them and they will open another window with more information. In fact, they were put there to answer the very question you asked... so give em a click and read about it...

I'd also suggest you try using a search engine with "mischief vote" and you'll get dozens more stories.

Also, if you perhaps read the whole post.... I know, its alot of words.... it states clearly that I think its our personal responsibility.... meaning you and me, and everyone else... to personally commit to moral and ethical behavior, rather than ruthless tactical strategic behavior.

Your actions should be ends in themselves, not as means to an end... manipulation of other's rights should be considered a bad thing... Vote for who you want... not who's best for your candidate to beat.

Does that make more sense?

None of your many words make any sense. Your blue links show nothing other than some yahoo who put together a kit to try to accomplish something but nothing that say it was followed and completed. How do you explain the win? I know that may be hard for you to wrap your multi worded mind around. AGAIN I ask you… Whose responsibility do you propose the sanctity of the vote should be?

Are these few words hard for you to understand? Can you answer a straight question without submerging it in so many words one loses the original point?

I can see why you favor Obama because he does the same as you.

Lots of words with NO content, but it feels good; doesn’t it?

He won because the citizens overwhelmingly voted him to... but mischief votes gave clinton more delegates than she deserved.... and if this dishonest trend continues.... (and there is no reason to assume otherwise in Ohio and Texas) she could remain in contention with her delegate count much longer than the true majority would have her... and end up possibly stealing the nomination at the DNC in Colorado... by taking the uncommitted superdelegates.

But I can see where this could be hard to understand... the whole impropriety, misconduct, election fraud, and ethics issue... doesn't seem to come up on the FOXviews Network.

Most of their listeners' opinions are just playback recordings from their propaganda experts. I apologize for wasting time talking about issues that require cognitive functions... do you feel better?

Again… it’s back to the fact that the Democratic Party is a PRIVATE organization and they make their own rules… If you don’t like it influence them to change it… I still don’t see you proof the Clinton achieved more delegates by Republican hands… AGAIN where is the evidence of that? Lots of words… no content… That’s what wastes time.

Whose responsibility do you propose the sanctity of the vote should be?

I agree the super-delegate process stinks of corruption... as does much of politics today... that said... the sanctity of the vote is universal... but as I've said repeatedly, it starts with each of us... if we don't resolve to hold true to an ethical, moral standard, how can our institutions be expected to follow?

Corruption is stopped by the individuals who condone it either through direct action or purposeful inaction - until the greater populus no longer tolerates such behavior, it will continue to rot our nation.

So who? YOU!...and me, and everyone.

do I have statistics... no... because the question isn't being asked at the exit polls.... but I personally know of a dozen people in my small circle, who did, and after posting this, found many more who did as well.... I sent emails of my observation to the DNC, zogby and moveon... and I wrote this post in several State markets... thats as much as I can do... but to ask folks like you to consider being respectful of everyone's right to vote...

Mischief votes steal the vote from people who deserve their right to be heard... it is dishonest, corrupt and does not require legislature to fix... just people with a friggin shred of decency to abide by it.

WOW… Lots of words and no real answers…

America IS decent and, yes, even the political process is decent as well… It’s a SMALL group of people who cry about corruption and dishonesty, which is ALMOST non-existent. You only site self experience and you’re one person out of millions! Which means .0001% (maybe even smaller) of persons involved in the democratic process is being dishonest. Not a huge impact is it? BUT keep crying if it makes you FEEL better.

Lots of word NO content, and a waste of time.

glad to help you reenforce the silly fantasy you believe in... unfortunately most of the planet doesn't have access to whatever you're smokin... but puff away.

You and the 18% of dreamers in this country who are hooked on propaganda... just keep on following the talking heads on FOXviews.... oreally, hannity, Rove, Snow, North, Kristol , Coulter and limpbaugh will set you free.

Oops, are you still here?
I figured a person with your skills was able to type "crossover vote" into a search engine without my help... sorry. If you want, you can roll your cursor over those words in quotes and copy them to your clipboard, then open a new browser window to perhaps google, and paste them into the search.

Typical of your kind, ask someone else to do your work cuz you're to 'busy' to do it yourself.

but so as to not be purely critical of your laziness and hypocrisy, as I've stated more than a few times already... exit polls did not ask those questions, and gee the MSM wouldn't tell you anyways... but there are some stories here.

Well the presidential erection cycle has begun.... the first one in more than 50 yrs with no incumbents running in either party.... also the most obviously influenced by the media who have winnowed the runners to their favorites.... even before the Iowa Caucus. Have both parties sold out to Big Media and Multinationals? Does anyone in the US care? Is anyone paying attention? Lets hope people are doing more than watching TV to form their opinion. The stakes are becoming incredibly high in this rapidly globalized world... where decisions made now effect the entire planet and all its inhabitants... Are you paying attention?
