Gee, the poor oil companies really need our government to help bail em out...
they can't afford to build refineries and can't afford to pay their taxes
so Ole George 'Oilcan' Bush got em all exempt and subsidized.

We're facing tuff times friends... the economic downturn has hurt us all...
and the price of a barrel keeps going up... heh heh

Why these poor oil folk gotta feed their children just like the rest of us...

this graph shows the top five oil company profits since oilcan Bush assumed the throne.

Since theres no global warming or peak oil shortage...

why are we helping them at all?

and can I get some of this help too?

I could use a few billion... heck at this point
I'd settle for a few hundred thousand

8^)

I am surprised that the oil companies have the B*LLS to announce their profits! This is disgraceful. The oil companies are ruining our economy, we are all suffering because of the price of oil....and the oil companies have, in very poor taste, announced how rich we have made them. Isn't it nice that we did that for them. I'm sure their kids need shoes, too.

Like I said before, my significant other and I will probably take that $600 that our wonderful, caring government is going to allow us and buy new seat covers for the car we will probably be residing in by then.

So, what exactly would you like to have us do with this information? Since the insurance business is in a bit of a slump right now (I deal in personal and commercial property coverage. We sag every year at this time.) I wouldn't mind some of that help, too.

But given that none of your buddies in Congress seems to want to do anything about this, what would YOU have us do? Armed revolt? Nationalize all energy businesses? Seems like all anyone, and I do mean anyone, wants to do is sit around a gripe. Include me out of that. Life is too short to waste time on urinating and complaining.

Well the presidential erection cycle has gone into the final stretch. In some of the most violent conventions since 1968, the people have again seen their rights trampled under the boots and battions of a brutal police force. Meanwhile inside, thousands of hysterical fans screamed like it was the Beatles as their choices for office took the stages. Have both parties sold out to Big Media and Multinationals? Does anyone in the US care? Lets hope people are doing more than watching TV to form their opinion. The stakes are becoming incredibly high in this rapidly globalized world... where decisions made now effect the entire planet and all its inhabitants... Are you choosing experience or what TV tells you is experience? Poncias Pilate was a Governor and Jesus, a community organizer. Beware the false prophets.
