Did anyone bother to watch the "debate" last night? Bash? Volkd? Earwig?
... the rest of the bloggers who still feel the media has a left-wing bias???

This, possibly last debate between the democratic candidates, was the latest example of Corporate Media propaganda.... does anyone feel insulted? You certainly should!

The corporate media pundits repeatedly asked silly inflammatory questions that did little more than drive infighting or show how ridiculous our news organizations have become...

Can your opponent win?
Do you believe in the American Flag???
Do you think Rev Wright loves America????
Do you believe your opponent has been honest???

What the heck is this?? .... this passes for journalism?
This is considered Fair and Balanced???

Does anyone deny that much of the last 100 years of US foreign policy has been driven by Corporate Interests rather than national interests?... and don't even begin with the line that corporate interest are OUR interests .... Corporations have received unprecedented concessions, unbelievable rights and privileges and unfettered access to every inch of our government. While at the same time moving their operations overseas and destroying our nation's middle class.

Sure, we all have shares in their stocks... well you tell the millions of families who are losing their homes because a layoff took away their revenue stream and white-collar criminals stole their pensions and not only get away with it, but getting a bailout by our government!

You ask why both these candidates voted for GOP-led bills eliminating class-action lawsuits against corporations... You ask why both candidates voted for the GOP-led bill to tighten bankruptcy laws and allow credit card companies to foreclose on the homes of citizens left out in the cold by corporate flight.... What about the 2005 energy reform bill that paved the way for energy companies to have the past two years of record profits??? Why did these candidates support these interests and now their foreclose bailout bill helps corporations not the middle class....

because the corporations who own this "liberal" media will not allow any of these REAL questions to ever be heard...

are you awake yet? Does the impending economic collapse have to burn millions before it even begins to be a blip on your complacent "compassionate conservative" radars?

Corporate Power has clearly shown they want Clinton over Obama... what we really don't know is what kind of hold they have on Obama... and whether their clear control of our "news" organizations will allow them to ruin what should have been the easiest Democratic election in history?? Yes I believe the Corporate elite has chosen all the candidates, but clearly, they have an agenda - and it is best served by McCain, then Hillary and lastly-Obama.

are any of you still not convinced?

Rove Must Go, Rummy Must GO, Ashcroft Must Go,
Libby Must Go, Tenet Must Go, Abermoff Must Go,
DeLay Must Go, Gonzalez must go... Wolfowitz must go...

Now CONDI MUST GO....

How many more must go???

before the quietly content conservatives begin to add it up?

This administration is going... piece by piece... slowly circling to the top figures.

When are people going to accept the reality that this leadership is corrupt

AND THEY MUST GO.... NOW!

This is the perfect example of what you get when you look the other way instead of confronting the truth... our leaders have become so familiar with their lies and propaganda that they forgot the web they weaved to get to this point... and make careless mistakes....

But no slip of the tongue can compare with the slip of judgment the conservative right
are content to accept in order to continue their comfortable lifestyles - at any cost.
Well the cost is our liberty, our freedom, our nation and ... yes... our lifestyles.

This administration has been AGAIN caught in lies. Caught in acts of treason that are punishable- not by simply firing a few close allies- but by jailing and perhaps executing the leadership... if capital punishment is good for minorities and small time offenders... then isn't it good for politicians, businessmen, military leaders and the media leadership guilty of treason?

Yes Condi Will Go... But Only If You Take Action!...

because the mainstream corporate media is not covering this issue... they are on Pope-a-Dope watch... and this story is being silenced but for a few mentions to keep the illusion of balance.

As long as this administration- CHENEY and Bush, remain in power... amnesty, immunity, and pardons are given away like treats at the dentists office. We can expect no justice or ethics to come til someone hangs like Saddham from a rope.

So much for conservation or belief in ethical moral conduct...

Until we are ready to accept the true definition, The Conservative (as it is presented today)- MUST GO!

NYTimes headlines today uncover a disturbing trend in the judicial branch of our government.
Since Bush assumed power and placed corporate justices throughout the system,
there has been a measured shift in how justice us served in America.

In a major shift of policy, the Justice Department,
once known for taking down giant corporations,
including the accounting firm Arthur Andersen,
has put off prosecuting more than 50 companies
suspected of wrongdoing over the last three years.

Instead, many companies, from boutique outfits
to immense corporations like American Express,
can avoid costs and "bad press" going to court
to fight criminal charges by instead taking a
deferred prosecution agreement,

This new facet of Bush Justice allows the justices to impose a fine (bribe)
and appoint an outside monitor (private contractor) to "oversee" collection
and any reforms - without going through a public trial.

In many cases, the name of the contractor and the details of the agreement are kept secret.
Most real American citizens will still have their day in court,
and have to follow those pesky laws and public scrutiny.

But the new Bush Judicial Branch can legislate from the bench with activist judgements!

Hey is'n't that bush-speak for what the democrats were gonna do?

Well as the Bush Administration leaves office and faces dozens of investigations into corruption...
and the nation faces serious economic challenges with the sub-prime mortgage industry...
and our nation begins to awaken to the corrupt business practices that have destroyed our health,
wealth, environment and status abroad...GOPers are busy stuffing envelops with $100 bills
in preparation for their day in -- er -- or not in court!

Bush buddy John Ashcroft says bribes are a good idea because they "avoid destroying entire corporations".
He's been busy since going private... serving up justice to the Supreme Court as his new company has been
getting those "monitoring" jobs and now... instead of corporations facing public scrutiny and potentially large fines...
they just pay the former head of justice - Ashcroft a few bucks, and carry on!

... gee, and here I was always taught that the bad guys go to jail.

Not so in the new world order... justice is served
with a side order of retroactive immunity
and a generous helping of "states secret".

and a no-bid private contract ...
would you like yours, shaken, stirred?
or just water-boarded!

...perhaps a side of detention and police state?

Is this the kind of justice you GOP fiscal conservatives call honest?

Justice for citizens (and thats very debatable)
Meaningless fines and business as usual for Corporations

Lifetime appointments shifting control of the Supreme Court...
that shakeup of Justices and Attys General scandal...
all those new bankruptcy laws and corporate shelters...
the privatizing of everything from soldiers to road workers...
makes you wonder why we say they stole the elections...

Before you run to FOX and CNN for talking points
perhaps its time to finally admit there might have been an agenda
that Cheney had in mind when he anointed himself VP in 2000.

Right wingers always cry conspiracy... paying your buddies $51 million dollars
to collect small fines and see to it that Monsanto, Merrill Lynch, Halliburton and Pfizer
"clean up their acts" for criminal actions that cost citizens billions and cause untold additional damage
then keeping it all a secret to the public and "safe from damaging Corporations"... may seem like GOP justice,
but it looks like a crime to me.

Many smart HONEST people, are saying it will actually encourage corporations to violate MORE laws...
Because its cheaper and more confidential to just get caught and pay fines than to be honest and law abiding....
Ashcroft and friends will be busy making millions, while the Judicial Branch withers,
and taxpayers foot the bills.

Are you sorry you voted for these thieves yet? There is still time for Impeachment.
Every day we say no... they move one step closer to their new world empire
and America moves closer to economic collapse.

Ask yourself, when Bush and Cheney say they support American Citizens
Just which Americans do they mean? Corporate Citizens? Cuz ain't you and me...

The Brass Monkey and Lyin Crock-o shiite took to the hill to spin more yarn about our war of terror in Iraq.

Sung to the Thin Lizzy tune...

Guess who went in front of Congress today?
Those two-faced boys that had been away
Haven't changed much of what they say
like man, those cats are crazy

They were being asked to expound
How Iraq was, whether WMDs could be found
They told us it were safe, living downtown
dodgin all those mortars in the green zone town

The brass are back in town, the brass are back in town

You know that schtick about success
Spewing lies for the corporate press
Man when I tell you they was cool, they was red hot
I mean tellin lies as truth-they was a spinnin'

That day on Capitol Hill, on cspan and the pundit circuit
Well this congress chick got up and she yelled in Patraeus' face
Man the media all went to commercial break
If the media don't want us to know, we'll forget her

Tuesday morn they'll be dressed to kill
duded up with their suits, shiny stars and frill
The lies will flow about the blood they spill
Cuz these boys want to fight, and congress' gonna let em

The brass are back in town, the brass are back in town

They'll tell us the surge, it worked great-
ignore the mortar fire blowin up all over the place
Increase our troop strength, it won't be long
It won't be long till they'll do the same in Iran
Now that the Brass is here again

The brass are back in town.
their lies, the media expounds

Will justice ever be found?

the brass is back

.....  the brass is back

Did Gableman and Scott Walker walk away with the election? 51-49.... on equipment proven to be corruptible... not voter fraud... I'm saying Election Fraud. The deliberate and intentional act of tampering with equipment, software and/or registry to throw an election?
Who stands to gain? not us I'm afraid... Gableman will preside over cases where corporate responsibility will be challenged... where monsters like WalMart will be suing employees for the fine print in their employment contract... and with Gableman... its a slam dunk.  Who benefits from a thrown election?
Walker has been handled by higher-ups since winning the recall election... he's being tailored for a higher role... he can't be deposed, even though an overwhelming number of citizens from both sides of the aisle, vehemently disagree with his antics...
If it is that easy to throw both the 2000 and 2004 elections... and during the record turnouts of the 2006 elections... with the record number of close races swinging to the Dems... Odd why the RNC saw fit to not challenge a one???  Perhaps, someone didn't want us to find out, they lost by far wider margins, using election fraud...
Can't happen? Conspiracy? Perhaps, but why not be informed as to our electronic system... and the unusual rules surrounding its use and abuse. Watch This and respond.

Tradionally, the President is to toss the first pitch of the season at the Washington Nationals game... but since this pResident and his merry band of distractionists found it smarter for our citizens to hold our sports players to a standard of ethics and behavior rather than our erected officials.... the catcher, Paul Lo Duca isn't taking the pitch. Instead, Manager Manny Acta gets to play pretend with the pretend resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Lo Duca and several of the prominent players were "outed" for their alleged use of performance enhancing drugs in a highly publicized charade by many of our nation's most corrupt political players.

So in true BushCo fashion, Bush will lob the fake pitch for the press... to a non-player... the big question... is anyone going to tell the emperor he has no clothes?

Surprise Surprise...
Yesterday the White House admitted it destroyed all the hard drives
that contained White House E-mails from 2003-2005.
We will likely never know of all the criminal activity
perpetraited by these crooks in office
and their corporate henchmen.

What should be done to a group of politicians and corporate lobbyists
who have constantly been accused of illegal activities that clearly border on being treason....
who've now destroyed the evidence?

According to the people who committed the crimes,
who are now newscasters on television every day,
we should do nothing... Surprise!

What about their television audience...
the ones who still defend these traitors as heroes ...
will they continue to defend their right to ignorance?

Will they say if there ain't no email- then there ain't no crime...
when do the obvious "coincidences" finally add up to the crime
that everyone else on earth knows exists?

or do we even care?... we will soon... when the going gets tuff
but will it be too late?

what do you think?

This week we were treated to another clear example of how the Corporate Media Newsmakers are choosing which words matter... calling their "views" the news. In olden days they called this Propaganda... today its called "fair and balanced". Perhaps we might see it for what it is- Fare Unbalanced, if we were to decide Words DO matter.

This week we saw only SOME of Obama's words cut up and debated with video snippets of SOME of Rev Wright's lively and controversial words put in America's living rooms -along with hours of babbling bias meant to heat up conservative viewers. Newscasters lamented endlessly about ridiculous out-of-context interpretations of Obama's speech. Words Matter.

Meanwhile these same "viewscasters" completely dismissed gigantic gaffes in their candidate McCain's intelligence by omitting the video or editing the parts where Joe Lieberman leans over to grab McCain's foot from his mouth. Words Matter.

We see the 'frankensteined' cut and paste selection of words all over the screen to damn Obama and Rev Wright but nothing of the truth that the so-called "Military Savvy" McCain doesn't have a clue who we're supposedly making democracy for in Iraq. Words Matter.

We see as few words as possible about Rev Hagee and John McCain, who'll chum up with anyone to increase his voter base. We hear only quick dismissive cackles from right-wing propagandists posing as newscasters as they bury McCain's obvious intellectual deficiencies... but no shortness in the persecution of Obama and his white grand-momma! Words Matter.

No debate or dialog about McCain on FIVE occasions not knowing who's fighting who in Iraq. Its like FDR running around Europe during WWII telling everyone the Germans and Russians were on the same side... Hello???

Just because most of us don't know the difference between sunni and shiite doesn't mean we allow a Presidential candidate running on a platform of "Military Intelligence" to talk like a feeble-minded dolt does it?

and Speaking of Feeble minded dolts, the pResident again stated Iran has nuclear bomb intentions when it is a proven fact they do not.... but his words not only go unchallenged, they are parroted by the neocon newscasters now on our "liberal" media...

Words Do Matter.

But more important is having the citizens awake enough to understand what's being said - and not said.

In an interview yesterday with NBC's Kelly O'Donnell, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) dismissed criticism of his ignorant claims that Iranian operatives are “taking al-Qaeda into Iran, training them and sending them back" by saying he corrected it immediately." I don't claim that I won't misspeak on occassion, but I will correct it immediately," said McCain.

When asked if it's a fair question to wonder if it was more than simply a slip of a tongue, McCain replied that "to think that I would have some lack of knowledge about Sunni and Shia after my eighth visit and my deep involvement in this issue is a bit ludicrous."

But that is EXACTLY the case... he is completely ignorant of war politics and has shown himself to be nothing more than a puppet to Bush's handlers.

And unlike the media spinmeisters who are on all channels damning Obamas speech and his pastor's comments.... with THEIR Spin taken by manufacturing snippets of the speeches... you can actually watch McCain's full and obviously completely clueless comments yourself and make up your own minds....

sure, the media has a liberal bias... as seen through its radical right wing agenda!

Watch it:

Just as McCain’s initial assertion about Iran training al Qaeda was false, his claim that he “corrected it immediately” is also false. In fact, McCain made the claim at least three times on two separate occasions. He corrected himself only after the third utterance when Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) whispered in his ear.

and we're supposed to make HIM commander and chief!!!???

What, with Cheney as his VP?

Right wing lapdog John McCain proved just how savvy he is on world politics yesterday as he TWICE stated that Iran was training AlQaeda....

But the Corporate News Media propaganda machine has quickly glazed over this MASSIVE INTELLIGENCE BLUNDER by their Presidential puppet...

Now imagine what a field day that same corporate news media would have had if it had been Obama or Clinton.

Point is.... McCain is runing on a campaign of military expertise and years of experience -
So how is it this clueless and obvious puppet of the same right wing extremist faction who's policy of war and tax breaks has bankrupted our nation isn't exposed for the phoney he is?

Please tell me the GOP loyalists on this site are at least able to comprehend the FACTS. How can anyone with an IQ in double digits seriously think of letting McCain control of the biggest military and nuclear arsenal on earth?

FOXviews this morning "broke" the story that Venezuela's Chavez is seeking Uranium for a Dirty Bomb!!!  ARE THEY INSANE? or are their viewers so gullible they'll actually BELIEVE this?

Why aren't citizens of America demanding we arrest these liars, crooks and terrorists rather than allowing them to become TV SPOKESPEOPLE?

Its beyond surreal to watch the "news" and see Tom Delay, Karl Rove, Bill Kristol, Frank Luntz join such criminals as Oliver "drugs for hostages" North and the paid stoolies like Ann Coulter, Rush Limpbaugh, Bill OReally and Sean Hannity who dare to speak the words "fair and balanced! "

- If anyone deserves a secret detention and a kangaroo court with death sentences, its this crowd and those left in the whitehouse... not the six "terrorists" who after five years of torture in Guantanimo are being executed before Bush leaves office.
anybody watching here? anybody care?

Wisconsin recently went to the polls to decide who would represent their Party in November. At least that’s what’s supposed to happen in a primary election. But that day, the first major primary after SuperTuesday, after Republicans narrowed to the field to one candidate, something far more insidious and destructive happened. In large numbers, Republican voters "decided" to mischief-vote for Hillary because she might be easier to beat in November!

Yep, these days that’s Republican for Democracy—win at any cost, screw the will of the people, lie, cheat, steal —whatever it takes to keep in office. Oh, and do it wrapped in a flag wearing your lapel-pin with your hand cross your heart, mouthing the words to the national anthem.

Hypocrites! Wisconsin Republicans, following WTMJ radio host Charlie Sykes' scheme to destabilize the democratic process (alright I'm giving Sykes too much credit) chose to be as unethical as the very leadership we have all grown to dislike.

SO the question is, just because its not illegal to spoil the will of the people and cheat on your right to vote, don't you find it morally, ethically and patriotically wrong to cheat the nation out of its Constitutional right to elect the government of its majority? Did our grandparents use an unwritten code of conduct, ethic... a moral standard or did they need laws and rules to govern every action they could possibly do?

Is it any wonder our nation is in the condition it is? Economically strapped, divided ideologically and financially, acting like an imperial aggressor, condoning treason, torture, spying, kidnapping and gross human rights abuses on a global scale, this cancer that permeates our government has now spread down to its citizens.

Today as many Wisconsinites took "hot-showers" to cleanse from their mischief-vote, they began the practice in this election of undermining the will of the people and Democracy itself. Transforming the vote into a game like Fear-Factor or the Apprentice—win at any cost, damn the rules or ethical behavior, Democracy has been turned into a phoney pay-per-view wrestling sideshow event.

Sure it has been done before... historically more often and effectively by GOP voters-look it up- but today, as we all seem to object to the corruption in government, how can we justify condoning it through our actions?

Democracy is not a game. Our right to vote is not to be treated with such disrespect. The right to vote is our most sacred institution yet we treat it like a street beggar. Ask any foreigner what they admire most about the US... it is our right to vote. Freedom to choose.

Even though mischief voting Wisconsin Republicans stole delegates from Obama, the fact that he still handed Hillary a considerable defeat, speaks volumes about the will of the people. Do you think the cancerous practice of cross-voting should be denounced by our media, or condoned?

Are you alright with people becoming accomplices in the corruption we all despise in our government? Would our great-grandparents be proud of our behavior?

Well the presidential erection cycle has begun.... the first one in more than 50 yrs with no incumbents running in either party.... also the most obviously influenced by the media who have winnowed the runners to their favorites.... even before the Iowa Caucus. Have both parties sold out to Big Media and Multinationals? Does anyone in the US care? Is anyone paying attention? Lets hope people are doing more than watching TV to form their opinion. The stakes are becoming incredibly high in this rapidly globalized world... where decisions made now effect the entire planet and all its inhabitants... Are you paying attention?
