Into the Wild: Chicago Basin 14'ers
by Meteorologist Chris Tomer

Took a backpacking trip with two of my closest friends into the remote Chicago Basin located in the San Juan Mountains.  We climbed three 14'ers: Mt. Eolus, Mt. Windom, and Sunlight Peak.  Deep snow was prevalent above 12,500ft and required crampons and ice axes.

Departing the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad....

Chris the views from teh 14er's are fantastic!
I can't find any other words to describe it!

How I wish I can get up there...

Anyway, will you be thinking of putting all your pictures and hiking journals into a book?
How about a guide or journal to 'Hiking the 14ers'? I would love to get a copy of it! haha!

I love Colorado!
